Sunset Timber Tent
Great spot!
The view was amazing; sunsets, sunrises, stars! Great access to the park. The wild turkey neighbors were awesome. The cabin was really cool. The best outhouse I’ve ever used.

Sunset Timber Tent
This is a beautiful, secluded spot - and the shelter is gorgeous. Alisa was wonderfully communicative and we spent a terrific evening, protected by the wind, on her property. Stay here if you can!!

Sunset Timber Tent
Perfect stay with dogs and sunsets
Loved our stay at the Sunset Timber Tent so much that we added another night (totaling 7). The cabin is spacious and comfortable. We folded out the futon for sleeping and brought our own full-size pad to roll out on the floor (to sleep two adults separately). There was still plenty of room for our gear. The place has lots of hooks inside and out, and a clothes line. The site--completed by a fire ring, oversize picnic table, and outhouse--is perfectly situated on a hillside with views of Frenchman Bay and amazing sunsets. The location is very close to the Schoodic section of Acadia, and an easy drive to MDI. We appreciated being able to bring our two dogs. If you're looking to refill your water jugs (no water on site), you can find water fountains at most of the larger natl. park restrooms. There is also a water pump at the Tidal Falls picnic area right off the parking lot (the falls are very cool to visit anyway!). Tidal Falls is right up the road toward Ellsworth. We will definitely stay again if we return to Schoodic.

Sunset Timber Tent
Dry cabin with a view.
What a great place to relax under the stars in total privacy. Very simple wooden structure but it had its charm with fun angles and twinkle lights. Bright some lights and candles for some added ambiance. Great fire pit and views of the ocean and Milky Way.

Sunset Timber Tent
Beautiful night skies
We loved our stay at the sunset timber tent! Very easy to find and tucked away from all the crowds of Acadias tourist season. The weather is amazing up there and you get a lot of sun during the day. At night you have a beautiful unobstructed view of the most beautiful skies. It was a great time and exceeded expectations.

Sunset Timber Tent
Awesome hillside campsite
Great location for the family to stay and play with a great sunset view over the ocean & Mt. Desert Isle. The shelter is a great addition for those a bit unsure of staying in a tent.
