Weekend Trip to 🌲 40 Acres Of Riverfront Serenity

Beautiful spot right on the river! We swam and tubed several times even though the weather wasn’t great. A little bit of road noise at the campsite but the sound of the river made up for it! Dogs loved it they could run and roam the property with no issues. Overall excellent site, we had a great time!

I had a great stay at this campsite! The place is awesome — very spacious, peaceful, and equipped with everything I needed. The host was welcoming and made sure I felt at home. It’s clear they put a lot of care into maintaining the space. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay!

2 nights at Ironside Farm

I highly recommend staying on Donanne's land in one of her yurts! It was the perfect off-the-grid getaway from the city I was seeking. Donanne is a lovely host who recommended an idyllic nearby pond for swimming, picked fresh snap peas for me to take home, and let me play with her pack of adorable dogs. I appreciated the comfort of the yurt combined with a true camping experience, complete with everything I needed for my stay. I'm looking forward to my next opportunity to visit!

Arts land was awesome! We stopped for 1 night passing through town to check it out but we definitely plan to return. Art has tried to have anything and everything one might need, like a 50->30 amp adapter. We arrived late at night but Art met us there and made sure we got backed in okay. In the morning we walked up to check out the outpost and outdoor kitchen. Such a fun looking spot for a group of friends or family. Ours dogs loved the trails. Thanks for having us Art, we’ll be back!

Great spots to camp or park RV, nature is all around you, the goaties- whose names escape me- are excellent co-hosts . . Meeting hosts Sean and Melinda was also great, both were helpful and there was good communication which I always appreciate. Thank you both

Donanne was a wonderful and accommodating host. We got upgraded to the yurt due to scheduling reasons which is right next to a stream with little swimming holes. Sadly we our time coincided with a a cold rain storm so we did not get to venture out and explore the area very much. Overall highlight was staying warm by the private firepit when the rain had subsided

I really enjoyed the stay. We walked to a nearby waterfall that the Donanne recommended and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Would absolutely come again.

4 stars. could have been 5 I had a fantastic 3 nights at this site! Privacy is unmatched, you have a giant field to yourself with a concrete pad to set up on and hook up to water, power, sewer. located in a small town with minimal cell service and no wi fi so great for getting away. The fire pit was awesome and easy to cook on. I would give 5 stars if the concrete pad was redone as it is very crumbly and creates puddles when it rains. it would have been nice if there was a mowed path around the edge of the field so you could walk around. we also didn't see a brook that's indicated on the listing. overall though had a great time and enjoyed the private getaway

We loved this Camp ground !! This was our first hip camp stay and we hit the jackpot. The camp store was fully loaded with anything that you would need. It was easy to find our spot very level and right across a little walk down. The path was a spectacular private creek with lots of ferns

3 nights at 🌲 40 Acres Of Riverfront Serenity

Wow, this is an amazing piece of paradise in Maine!! The river was refreshing, clean, and stunningly beautiful. We had the best of both worlds being in the woods and near water. My dog enjoyed being able to roam around off leash while I relaxed in the river. The location is perfect, close to a grocery store and gas station, Farmington had a wonderful downtown area with shops and restaurants, and also close to Rangely! The camp host, Kyle, was very responsive and welcoming. One day it was almost 100° and some kids made their way up the river, crawling on the rocks to float down on their tubes. Next time, Im bringing a tube! Thank you for allowing other people to enjoy this site!!

This site was fantastic! Aside from being quite aesthetically pleasing, the site was set up very well. We appreciated the convenience of the electricity, large bug-free spaces, and the thoughtfully set up kitchen area. I would recommend the flower bouquet option - it was gorgeous!

We really enjoyed our stay on the property. Donanne provided detailed directions to help navigate to the property where cell service was on and off. She also provided instructions on how to get to a nice private lake nearby and an amazing local waterfall. They were quick to reply and made sure you had fire wood. The campsites are well maintained and clean.

Art is an amazing host with great recommendations! This is the second time we have stayed here and have decided two nights is not enough time. Will be back again this season so we can accomplish what we did not our first visit.

Awesome spot. A lot of time and thought was put in to making the camp. The inside is beautiful and cozy and the roofed in fire pit outside was amazing for the quick couple showers we got while we were there. Absolutely recommended.

Weekend Trip to Cardinal's Corner

Cardinal's Corner is very peaceful and oh so quiet. We enjoyed two nights there with our dog off leash. The fireflies coming out at dusk were a new experience for our pup! Water, power (20 amp), and sewer were all in good shape. GPS takes you right to the grass path opening in the trees. The site is in a corner of a large hayfield that is mowed well on the drive path and generously around the slab. That said it IS a hayfield so ensure your pets have tick protection.

We purchased this land a few years ago when our neighbors decided to sell. It abuts our property They used it as a place for their family to gather and camp on during Maine wonderful summer season. It is a beautiful, quiet spot with a great view and a small pond. Hipcamp lets us share this spot and helps pay our property taxes.We are located in the western mountains of Maine in a summer community on Porter Lake. There is a beautiful view of New Vineyard mountain from our 3 acre field. We have 2 trailer sites with power and water (non potable) and an out house. The field has several fire pits and soft grassy spaces for pitching tents. The camping area is fairly private from our neighbors along the road. The site has a small private pond surrounded by trees you can sit and relax near. You can (walk/bike/drive) the 1/4 mile down the dirt road to the public beach. The beach has a public dock, boat ramp, swim float, picnic tables and grills. Paddle out to the island and try the rope swing with one of our kayaks or canoes. Be sure to check out the bald eagles that live in the white pine tree just a little farther down the island. You will hear the loons during your stay and possibly see a mother with her babies on her back. There are also ducks and ducklings and geese with gosling paddling about the lake. The state stocks the lake with trout, splake, and salmon if you like to fish. There is plenty to do right here!

Explore endless mountains streams, trails to the Appalachian Trail, and remote dirt roads in the heart of the Mahoosucs from your secluded walk-in low impact tent site with privy. Earth Paradise Eco-Retreat

There is a beautiful hike to a mountain lookout view of an amazing panoramic of lakes and mountains including Mt Washington and Pleasant Ski mountain. From 5 Kezars rd turn right onto Kezars Ridge Drive, the last camp road before the pavement ends.) At 0.6 miles keep right onto 5 Kezar Ponds Road. Look for a GLLT sign on the right. This is the Mountain Trail. There is a second access 0.5 miles farther west on 5 Kezar Ponds Road for Ron’s Loop. Here is a link for all Lovell Land trust trails: https://www.gllt.org/five-kezars-reserve 2 Local waterfalls only 2 miles away. Drive back out to 5 Kezars road. Take a right on the paved road. It will turn back into dirt. Keep on this road until you see a beautiful stone house on your left. Keep going just up the hill and you will see a right turn into the woods where you can park. There are no signs for Kezar gorge. Hike towards the sound of the falls. There is a small cave under the falls you can climb up into if you are a strong swimmer. There is a second set of falls if you hike down the river. A most magical spot for sure. Virginia lake is in the White Mountain National forest and is only 6 miles (n a ten minute drive away) Sometimes you have to hike in a bit to get to the beach. Shallow beach is great for children and dogs. Keewayden Lake Dam is a fun place to swim in a local lake. Only and 8 minute drive Keoka lake has a nice beach with a dock to swim too. !0 minutes Covered Bridge in Bethel Screw Ager falls at Graftons Notch State park 45 min drive Ski resorts nearby are Sunday River, Mt Abrams and Pleasant Mt

Streife translated from Norwegian means roam. The right to roam, also called the right of access, or everyman's right(“allemannsretten”) is a traditional right from ancient times, and since 1957 has also been a part of the Norwegian Outdoor Recreation Act. It ensures that everybody gets to experience nature, even on larger privately owned areas. In our travels to Norway, we learned of this law and loved the concept so much we brought it back with us to America. Yet we had no land to offer. So, we searched...and searched....and searched some more. Then we found what would become camp Streife. 20 acres of uncut timber growth forest, tucked in the hills of Rumford Maine. With a nearby brook, pond and within 20 minutes of some of our favorite ski locations it was just right. The rules of this law are simple. Be considerate and thoughtful. Don't damage nature and other surroundings. Leave the landscape as you would want to find it. Leave no trace. You may put up a tent, or sleep under the stars, for the night anywhere in the countryside, forests or mountains, as long as you keep at least 500 feet away from the nearest inhabited house or cabin. This rule of 500 feet distance also applies to camping cars and caravans. If you want to stay for more than two nights in the same place, you must ask the landowner's permission, except in the mountains or very remote areas. Well, we've taken care of all those Allemannsretten rules for you. We invite you to our small part of the world and encourage you to exercise your right to roam. Our campsite includes a Porta potty, compost toilet, sun shower, and has a covered kitchen area and field stone campfire pit. We are 1.5 miles from Androscoggin River Lands State Park and close to Mt. Blue State Park and the Nezinscot Farm and Farm Store - Winner of the Northeast Region James Beard American Classics Award. We are neighbors with the Boothby Orchard and Farm Winery and the Washburn - Norlands Living History Center. Scheduling Notice: We have blocked out 5 weekends due to scheduled local events that some campers may find disruptive to their stay. The events are Mud runs held during the day with a music (Rap/Rock) concert at night. Although the venue is one mile from our campsite these events can be heard as back ground noise from the camp site. The Mud runs are scheduled on the following weekends: 6/6-8, 7/4-6, 8/1-3, 10/3-6 and 9/12-14.
