Loved this cute little cottage. Would be so pretty in the fall or even winter. Lots of walking trails around. A lovely sunlight in the mornings through the stained glass windows. Would definitely stay again!

What an awesome spot! The Birds Nest doesn’t disappoint. The Nest sits on the same property as the owner but it’s far enough away that you can’t even see anything. Such a magical little cabin with an awesome wood stove that will keep you more than cozy. Everything was nice and clean/tidy….the outhouse was the same.
Amazing location for hiking.
World class fly fishing in the Carrabassett River not far away.
Me and the ole girl and I can’t wait to come back!!

I had the BEST two nights staying at the Bird’s Nest! It was so beautiful and cozy. The weather held out long enough to enjoy walking through the trails on the property, and building a fire in the wood stove was perfect for the rainy and chilly evening. Lisa is a wonderful host and put so much thought into everything one might need while staying here. I hope to be back again soon!

I loved staying here with my dog! They were so thoughtful in both building and stocking the tiny house. I had everything I needed for a cozy night away from town and my dog loved running through the woods. They have well marked trails throughout. It was perfect!

Lisa was amazing about communicating before and during my trip. She was also super helpful on directing me to the perfect spot to watch the sunset. The Brid's Nest was exactly as described, and. a fun cabin to stay in. It is a little bit of a walk up to the cabin, but there is a wagon to help load up your suitcases. Sunrise through the trees the next morning was absolutely beautiful along with my drive to my next destination. If you don't mind glamping without the extra fluff, I recommend staying here!

We enjoyed staying at this cute and cozy tiny house. It was very private and we loved being able to let our dog wander the woods. The fire pit and outdoor seating area were perfect for a chilly evening, and morning!

Lisa's tiny home was so cozy and well taken care of! It's located behind her home but was far enough away to feel like we had the whole property to ourselves. There is a lot of property to explore and it even has a private trail system. It has everything you need for your off grid stay and the bathroom is very clean with a foot pump faucet right outside of it. I will definitely book with Lisa the next time I'm in the area.

This hipcamp was a cozy, unique, off-grid cabin in the wooded backyard of kind owners. Good privacy. Loved the outhouse design and sleeping amidst hooting owls! The bed is very bunkhouse style and it is in a no-standing-room loft. There are some good hiking trails and restaurants in nearby Kingfield. Look them up prior to trip because you will have no cell service in cabin. On site there are some short paths that children will enjoy exploring. Plenty of wood is provided as well as potable water.

Lisa's tiny home was the perfect stopover on a rainy night. It was cozy and we got to unplug completely. Lisa was helpful with directions. The town of Farmington was close enough for us to grab a delicious pizza.

This little retreat was wonderful. Very private (truthfully - sometimes it's very hard to tell if you'll feel tucked away from someone's description, but this spot really felt like you had your own little piece of forest), very clean, clearly well-loved and cared for. Would definitely stay again, and recommend to others! Thanks again, Lisa!

We had a great time and had absolutely no complaints. The cabin was adorable, clean and had so many little things to look at and take in. We went for my friends birthday and were surprised with a birthday banner when we walked in. So thoughtful. Will definitely be visiting again.... maybe in the winter to see how cozy that big wood stove is. Thank you Lisa.

This space was so comfortable and well thought out. The shade made it cool(er) on hot days and kept it fairly dry when it rained. Inside was very comfortable and cozy especially with all of the candles lit. We will definitely be back!

The Birds Nest is such a unique and quiet retreat. We used it as a stop-over from Acadia back home to central NY, we plan to be back again for the winter as a ski getaway. Thank you Lisa and Brent for sharing your amazing space with us!

I loved the Bird’s nest that was on Lisa’s land! Perfect for a sleep-away to recharge and enjoy the outdoors. The camp is so charming and quirky, and absolutely loved the feel when it was candle-lit at night. Flannel sheets and plenty of blankets/pillows made the bed comfy. The wood stove was easy to use and really heated the place up quickly. We loved using the hammock, and taking in nature on the porch- the trails were well kept and loved seeing all of the foliage on the land. A huge plus was the outhouse, it was by far the most luxurious outhouse I’ve experienced- very clean with a pump water sink next to it. Cannot wait to come back!

The Bird’s Nest is a perfect getaway for anyone looking for peace and quiet in nature. The cabin is thoughtfully and artfully designed, and the hosts have made sure everything you need is there, including cookware and firewood, and clean, comfortable bedding The foot pump operated sink is genius and makes washing up so much easier. All you really need is food, drinking water, clothes, and personal items. The area is very beautiful and remote but convenient to town and there is even a Walmart within 10 minutes. I enjoyed reading about the history of the nearby properties provided for guests. The kind hosts are accessible and eager to help when needed but otherwise leave guests on their own. When you arrive there are clear directions for parking and getting to the cabin, as well as instructions for everything at the Bird’s Nest. Only thing to keep in mind is the short hike to the cabin is slightly up hill and can be muddy if wet.

This camping was the perfect getaway. It’s remote to feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere but close enough to the town to enjoy the sights and sounds of Maine. 10/10 would recommend.

What a fantastic hideaway! I only had one night but even that showed what a magical spot it is. It's so peaceful. For a tiny space it has lots of comfort built in. I didn't have time to walk the trails on the property but they looked nice. It's a thoughtful space. If up here again, I'd definitely stay longer.

This is a great spot. Loved cooking outside and using the trails with our two pups! The house was perfect for my husband and I and the 2 dogs! The outhouse was very clean.

How much love went into building it and letting others enjoy it. Lisa was so on top of making sure everything was perfect when we arrived, and I’ve never seen such care taken to give the history of their home and the space and also the area. I cannot say enough about this beautiful getaway and I will definitely be returning!

We absolutely loved The Birds Nest. We came in very late our first night, so really getting to see it for the first time in the morning sun was such a gorgeous treat. We spent most of our time during the day exploring the area, spent our afternoons enjoying Porter Lake which felt so refreshing. After venturing over to Bar Harbor for a day, coming back to a quiet solitude was perfect. We adored getting away from our phones and just being together out in nature, and couldn't have done it without Lisa and Brent's sweet spot of land they so kindly share. Cooking over the fire, which I haven't done since I was in summer camp as a kid, and watching the stars and feeling the peaceful, healing energy of the forest was everything we needed and more. Thank you SO MUCH for providing this space. We LOVED our time here.
