A beautiful private rural campsite located in Highland Plantation, Maine, Rublesky's Retreat sits along Sandy Stream in the Western Maine Mountain Foothills. Enjoy easy access to amazing waterfalls with a scenic 1.5-mile walk along picturesque Sandy Stream Valley Road—a must-visit during your stay. Plenty of scenery and conveniences await. It's just a 5-minute drive to the Happy Horseshoe Campground store, a 15-minute drive to the Appalachian Trail and the Maine Huts & Trails system for endless hiking and biking, and 30 minutes to Flagstaff Lake, Round Barn Beach, and Big Eddy on the Dead River. A 30-minute drive will take you to Mainly Provisions supermarket in Kingfield, while Sugarloaf Mountain to the northwest and river rafting at The Forks to the northeast are both about 50 minutes away. Rublesky's Retreat is perfectly located for all your outdoor adventures! The campsite is equipped with a cedar picnic table and movable benches, a large river rock fire pit, and a porta-potty. It is tent- and camper-friendly, with cold water and electrical hookups available on-site. Stay connected if you wish—bring your Starlink! An Amish mini camp house is coming soon. The site accommodates Tents or a single Camper ( up to 30 ft ). The Main Camp site provides A large stone camp fire pit, 8ft Cedar Picnic Table (with moveable benches) , Electric Power ( up to 20amps )( no cell service ) , and Cold Water (only). Parties are able to enjoy access to Sandy Stream and Waterfalls (1-1/2 mile easy walk) , site also has (portapotty), separate from site, Parking is at your campsite or in designated area to the right of Porta Potty at Garage.
