Perfect getaway.
Paul’s cabin was the perfect place to unplug and unwind! We had a great time relaxing on the property, and swimming at a local spot we read about in the welcome book. I only wish we had more time to stay.

Paul's cabin is awesome! Very well kept, clean, and comfortable. Rustic, peaceful and a great place to just get away from everyone and everything! No electricity or plumbing, but propane lights and stove and you won't miss those things anyway for all the fun and memories you'll make! Close to a few stores and gas stations, and lakes and waterfalls right down the road. Perfect place to go to just forget your life for a few days ♥️

100 Mile Wilderness Cabin
This was a great, private cabin in the deep wilderness of Maine. This was my first trip to the center of the state and I couldn't ask for a better hide away hole. Tucked deep in the woods but only 4 miles from civilization it makes for a great vacation. It was clean and loved the propane lights, there is no electricity so bring battery banks!

Real Maine Cabin Experience ✔️
Paul's cabin is a great rustic get-away. There was a lot more space than we expected and the close by surrounding areas/towns are filled with beautiful views of mountains and lakes. My 5 year old daughter had a blast watching hummingbirds and using the hammock. My husband was able to relax and really enjoyed his birthday weekend up here. A funny story, we actually ran into Paul for a brief moment with his dogs at the lake yesterday evening and we had no idea! What a small world. Thanks again, we can't wait to come back again soon! If you're looking for a real Maine Cabin Experience, this is the one.

Wonderful place and the cabin is very comfortable. The hikes from the cabin and that you can reach easily by car are very good. We saw a big male moose at 30 ft from the cabin...

Cozy Cabin!
The cabin was absolutely perfect, Paul was an incredible host and left a welcome packet of things to do nearby and how to get to them easily. The cabin was cozy and quiet and I will definitely be back!

A real Maine adventure
Better than Reny’s, a real Maine adventure! There was 40” of snowpack during our stay and Paul had the access plowed out and offered to get us to the cabin with his truck if our car couldn’t make it. He re-supplied us with water and wood for the cold nights and the stove kept the cabin plenty toasty. The AT is a short bushwhack up the hill behind the cabin and Borestone is just down the road. Great place to explore Piscataquis County from.

perfect winter stay
We couldn't have been happier for our winter stay. Paul was amazing; a great communicator, helpful, and generous, but also respectful of our solitude. The cabin is equipped with a woodstove, firewood, propane lights (no electricity), beds to sleep 7, basic kitchen items, jugs of water, and has a pit toilet nearby. The woodstove kept the uninsulated cabin plenty warm when it was going strong; it would be quite cold in the morning or when we returned from hiking but once the fire gets going for an hour or so, that stove boots heat. This is to be expected, absolutely not a complaint. Our 2wd car isn't great in the snow, but could get there just fine. Paul plowed the access road right before we arrived, shuttled us+gear the ~2000 feet up to the cabin, and offered use of his atv. The location is perfect: close to Monson, just up the road from hiking at Borestone Mtn and Little Wilson Falls, a few miles from cross country skiing at Fierce Chase, and close to the Appalachian Trail and Moosehead Lake. I would highly recommend 100 Mile Wilderness Cabin

Our stay here was everything you’d want a Fall Maine getaway to be, perfectly perched amongst beautiful trees yet near enough things to keep you fed and stocked up. Paul was tremendously kinda he felt like the cool uncle, made sure we had wood and enough of it, plenty of water to cook and clean with, plenty of coziness. Chill spot for a cabin experience!

Nice stay up North
Nice “hunting” camp in a great spot near Borestone Mountain. Our host was great as we booked last minute and he brought us wood and water. Updated privy area and path with solar lights. I say hunting camp since it is like my dads… no frills, squishy bed, awesome wood stove, pictures of deer on the walls… loved it all. Our dog June enjoyed hiking and I enjoyed the fire pit. Bring what you would to go camping and enjoy the solitude.

Paul’s cabin is a great place to set up camp if you’re looking to explore the area. You can actually access the Appalachian Trail by foot from the property it’s about a 5-10 minute walk to the trailhead from the cabin.
Cabin was really clean and Paul stocked it with plenty of extras like firewood, water and cooking equipment. It was a really comfortable stay for me and my dog and I definitely plan on going back. There’s a lot to do and see in the area. I recommend hiking Big Moose mountain if you’re up for a challenge

Paul was wonderful. Very helpful and more than friendly. Loved the dogs!
When I read rustic cabin I honestly expected less than what we got. There were propane lights, stove and a grill. The location is remote but not so remote that you can't drive into town for essentials.
We love the location. Hikes are top notch and Monson has a really great BBQ place. Great fishing too!

Rustic off the grid cabin.
Great off the grid, rustic hunting cabin. I wanted a solo hiking trip and came across this place when searching for a campsite. It was a bit more rustic then I expected but I enjoyed it. The owner is great and very accommodating and welcoming. I forgot my trekking poles and he went out of his way to help me find a waking stick. Thank you again for having me and my little dogs.

Paul was so accommodating and communicative. The spot was one of a kind. Off-grid and keeps you warm with the wood stove. Super cozy and steps from the 100 mile wilderness on the AT. I would definitely come back again!

Great off grid cabin getaway.
It was a perfect Rustic cabin out in the woods. Super quiet but yet 10 min from a convenience store for any supplies you may have forgotten. Woodstove for heat with plenty of wood provided by Paul. He is a great host and such a likeable guy. Dropped off water for us as well as a spare hummingbird feeder so we could be entertained all week plus an outdoor fire ring as well. Lit walkway to a well stocked outhouse. We will be coming back for sure. I am going to share his link on my YouTube channel as well. Very affordable for a quiet stay to disconnect from busy life.
