Porcupine Creek Rustic Camping sits in the middle of our 50 acre Tree Farm. Campsites sit at the edge of small open fields are are spaced to give you the feeling of having your own space. We currently have two camping sites a Tree House and Camping Tent. The camping-related structures on our property are built with wood harvested from our tree farm and milled on-site. Deer regularly visit, the birds are constant company and other critters roam. Accommodations include rest rooms, shower rooms (sites come with solar shower bags) fire pits and campfire wood. Our Chickadee Corner campsite sits in a bright, shaded grassy knoll and is ideal for 1 - 2 tents. We provide a 10 x 8 foot tent platform. This site includes a covered picnic table, a campfire pit (with cooking grill) and firewood. We provide you with a 7 gallon jug of water to use but suggest you bring your own water for drinking. Restrooms are a short walk up the camp road. Solar shower bags are provided and can be used in private shower stalls next to the restrooms. Our Deer Run campsite is in a large, maintained, grassy field surrounded by woods. It comes with a canopy covered picnic table, fire pit and firewood. We provide solar shower bags and non-potable water for washing. The Bath House with composting toilets and shower rooms is a short walk down the hill. Our Woodchuck Acres Campsite is a sunny, open maintained grassy field and is ideal for families or small groups (8 max). This space can comfortably accommodate two or more tents, two small tow-behind campers or camper vans. For larger groups, please contact us directly for more information and pricing. This site includes a canopy covered picnic table and a campfire pit (with grill). Firewood is included with your stay. We provide you with a 7 gallon jug of water to use but suggest you bring your own water for drinking. Men's and Women's bathrooms are a short walk up the camp road and your site comes solar shower bags which can be used in private shower stalls located next to the bathrooms. The Owls Nest is a luxury platform tent that sits on a rise overlooking its own small field. Inside, there is a comfortable queen-sized bed. Outside, the tent canopy extends over the tent deck to provide a shaded place to sit in one of two comfortable Adirondack chairs. This is a perfect place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or afternoon cup of tea!  An outdoor kitchen includes a canopy covered picnic table, camp stove, cooler, pots, pans, dinnerware and utensils. We provide you with a 7 gallon jug of water to use but suggest you bring your own water for drinking. An outdoor campfire ring is provided for you to sit back and enjoy an evening campfire. Firewood is included with your stay. Our Shower House with composting toilets and shower rooms is a 1 minute walk down the hill. We provide solar shower bags, which you fill and place in the sun to warm, then use in private shower rooms. Your closest neighbor is our Hummingbird Hideaway Tree House across the field. What a gem! Jeff and Cathy are amazingly kind- they greeted us and gave us a full tour. The land is gorgeous. They have lovely touches- anything you want, they have! Games to play, solar showers, firewood, a resident porcupine…! Would definitely come back!

Owls Nest Camping Tent
This was our second time at Porcupine Creek and it was (once more) absolutely wonderful! We stayed in the Owl's Nest this time (last time: Chickadee Corner) and loved every minute. Jeff and Cathy have set up everything extremely thoughtfully and they provide everything one could possibly need for a relaxing vacation. Every day they stopped by and brought us anything we might need (such as water, solar shower bags, firewood, etc.). The site is private and it's a true nature experience--from our campsite we saw many deer, a porcupine, a skunk, and many different kinds of birds. The location is excellent as well; there are many nearby beaches on lakes that are great for swimming and kayaking. There are also some great places to hike--we recommend the Palermo Preserve and Camden State Park.

Owls Nest Camping Tent
Our stay at Owl’s Nest was wonderful! The tent was so cozy and they supplied almost anything we could possibly need for a camping trip except food (kitchen supplies, stove, shower bags, firewood, kindling, camp chairs, lanterns). It was off grid camping (no electricity/running water) but with a fraction of the planning that usually requires and a comfortable bed! The toilet and shower rooms were the cleanest I’ve ever seen at a campground, even those with real showers and flushing toilets. We will definitely be back and will recommend Porcupine Creek to friends and family.

Terrific! I solo tent camped for one night at the Chickadee corner site and had a great time. The property is just beautiful and well maintained. Jeff and Cathy are lovely hosts and have gone the extra mile to make all kinds of helpful amenities available to guests (firewood, kindling, toiletries, lawn games, citronella candles, bug zappers, you name it). The whole property is gorgeous, and with another tent site plus two little “glamp” cabins on offer (the treehouse and owls nest both look amazing!), I’m already scheming for when and how I can come back with friends to enjoy Porcupine Creek again! Pro trip for visitors, I went to The Pour Farm brewery for a beer + food truck pizza that Thursday night, and then to an immersive theater performance by counter/culture: collective and everything rocked. Awesome area all around for a Maine summer visit.

Really loved this campground, such clean bathrooms + showers (more clean than typical campgrounds). The hosts were so friendly + give you a tour of the grounds + also provide many of the necessities (canopy, citronella candle, wood etc) with your reservation! They are off grounds but only a few minutes away for emergencies. Can't recommend it enough!

It’s a beautiful property with all the creature comforts. Each site includes firewood, a massive plus from the camps that charge extra. Then there’s cornhole and ladder toss at the ready. The shower/toilet building is also far from rustic. It’s comfortable, welcoming and doesn’t make you feel like you’re away from home. Would definitely come back!

We went tent camping on Jeff and Cathy's land. Jeff and Cathy were wonderful hosts. I mentioned that it was my wife's birthday gift and they went next level by decorating our picnic area with birthday decorations and a personalized card. They also gave our boys two painted pumpkins to bring home. I didn't know I'd find hospitality at a campground, but Jeff and Cathy delivered. All of the sites offer good privacy so you don't feel like you're stacked on top of another family. The bathhouse is kept super clean. This was our first overnight tent night with our children and it went spectaculary! Thank you Jeff and Cathy. We'll be back.

Owls Nest Camping Tent
I can’t wait to come back! My boyfriend and I absolutely loved this. The set up was perfect, Jeff and Cathy have gone above and beyond with making sure their guests feel comfortable and enjoy their stay. We stayed in the Owls Nest, it was super cozy. There was a whole outdoor kitchen set up with all the kitchen supplies you need. They supplied fire wood, kindling and fire starter! They had jugs of water, a very nice clean bathroom set up. There is a lot of cute animals around too, we saw a few deer, and a porcupine with its baby! We were so impressed with Jeff and Cathy’s hospitality and can’t wait to come stay in the Owls Nest next season :)

Jeff & Cathy are kind and lovely hosts. Their campground is wonderful. It has everything you could want and need at a campground. It was awesome to catch up, hike, and cook with one of my childhood friends in rural Maine without having to worry about setting up camp. I’ll take staying at this campsite over staying at a hotel/motel or a large campground. I’ll definitely be back.

Hummingbird Hideaway Tree House
I have nothing but good things to say about our experience here! It was a particularly hot week when we went and Cathy was gracious enough to come each day and swap our rechargeable fans with hers so we could stay cool. Jeff & Cathy made us feel incredibly safe + welcomed and gave great recommendations for places in the area. Aside from amazing hosts the campground itself was beautiful, well maintained, and serene. The hard work and love they have put into this place does not go unnoticed. The bathrooms and sink station were the nicest I’ve seen at a campground before and decorated so cutely! Overall a beautiful place I would recommend to anybody and would love to go back :)

This is honestly one of the prettiest campsites we’ve ever stayed at! It’s rustic in the best way, but still has everything you need to feel comfortable. We stayed at Chickadee Corner over the weekend and had such a great time. Jeff and Cathy greeted us when we arrived, gave us a quick tour, and answered all our questions. They’re the sweetest people and you can tell they’ve put so much love and effort into every part of the campground. It's lovely! The bathrooms were super clean and so cute! We also loved that firewood was included—it made our nights by the fire even better. Everything felt easy, peaceful, and cozy. We would love to stay in the treehouse next time! Beautiful spot for a peaceful getaway surrounded by a forest. Perfect for nature lovers; lots of wildlife and biodiversity. The facilities are excellent—everything was super clean and thoughtfully designed. The host provided everything we needed and then some (even lanterns, anchors for the tent platform, insect zapper, citronella candle, dish soap, water, firewood, hand soap, and toiletries). It’s completely off grid but we didn’t miss a thing. There are several lakes nearby which are perfect for swimming and kayaking; we also went on a lovely hike. The area isn’t very touristy, which we liked. Strongly recommend this site.

We absolutely loved our stay over the weekend here. We stayed on chickadee corner. Jeff and Cathy greeted us apon arrival and gave us a quick tour and answered any questions we had. They are very sweet people who put a lot of effort into these camp sites. The bathrooms were very clean and adorable. The best part was that while we were out during the day we received a message asking if we needed any supplies at the camp. Fire wood is provided, which was awesome. I would love to come back and stay at the tree house next time.
