Spacious Skies Walnut Grove Campground

I booked two nights for this campground, knowing I would be arriving early in the am, before check in. When I arrived, the office was closed but rhe manager did open the door- however didn’t have time to really deal with me. I thought I had booked a full hook up but when I looked I realized why- the listing shows full hookups as 45 feet or less and my rig is longer. For knowledge’s sake.. they are big rig friendly. The whole campground is. It’s flat, easy to navigate and spaces are big. However, the 50/30 amp hookup does not exist. They’re all 50. Which is concerning as my camper is a 30 and I’ve never needed an adapter, I also prefer not to use an adapter. I plugged into the smaller plug with adapter but it kept tripping the breaker. I turned everything off but my air. And it held. The campground never replied to any messages on Hipcamp, either prior to arrival or during stay. They also didn’t reply to my after hours text about the breaker. They also called me within 5 minutes of booking saying I needed a credit card on file as I owed the balance. Meanwhile Hipcamp had already charged my card and I had no balance. Seemed poor organization. ,

A cozy spot to camp for a week. Our whole stay was pleasant, the facilities were nice and other campers were respectful of quiet hours.

Plenty of space. Showers were good. Did not partake in any recreational activities for the 4th of July weekend, but saw kids were busy having fun. Off the beaten path, yet close enough to town.

The campground was great! Not too big, not too small. Beautiful pool, bounce pad and playground. Great hiking train right on the property. Staff was so kind and bathroom is were spotless!

20/30 AMP Water/Electric Back In - 38ft

It's a neat and clean campground. The restrooms were spotless. It's peaceful and beautiful. The linens package I received was a pleasant bonus. Comforter and pillows were plush, sheets were nice and towels seemed new. Very nice! Staff was pleasant and polite. It's been over 15 years since I've been camping and the cabin with linens was a step up I needed. I would book again.

Quick and easy booking. Lovely camping resort, beautiful grounds, perfect pool, cute store and even a huge “jump-o-line” for the kids. Celeste and her staff were stellar, welcomed and greeted me by first name🌻 I’ve stayed at the Austerlitz location and clearly-the SS Camping Family has high standards of service!

Walnut Grove had clean campsites and restroom facilities. Our daughter loved the Jumping Pillow (like a big trampoline) and we all enjoyed the pool. The staff were friendly.

Rustic Cabin 10

My husband and I recently stayed at Spacious Skies Campgrounds - Walnut Grove in Alfred, ME, and we had a wonderful experience! We booked one of their tiny cabins and were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and well-equipped it was. The cabin had A/C, a small fridge, a TV, and three beds — perfect for relaxing after a day outdoors. It also came with clean bed sheets and towels, which was a nice touch. Outside, we had our own picnic table and fire pit, which made for some cozy evenings. The shower and restroom facilities are located in the main building, just a short 2-minute walk from our cabin — very convenient and everything was clean and well-maintained. The campground itself is mostly geared toward RVs, but they do have three of these cute tiny cabins. There's a pool, some arcades, and a small shop on-site, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, a great place to unwind and enjoy nature without giving up comfort. We’d definitely come back!

We enjoyed our stay at Spacious Skies. It was during the off season and we were a little disappointed that the office was seldom open. With that said, the sites were big and they're were plenty of area around the campground for walking. We did take a hike on the connected trail (it appears to be a snowmobile trail) and our dogs came home covered with ticks! We would not recommend you take that hike.

Very nice, clean and quiet campground. Wonder laundry facilities that take digital forms of if payment - thank you!! So much better than coins and the free app tells you when your clothes are finished!

Riverside Retro Camper Rental

Nice little campground. A bit out-of-the-way. Most of the campers are there for the season. We were put in a private spot. The toilets and showers are very nice.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get to stay here. A tree fell on our accommodations. They were very nice and tried to accommodate with cabins instead but there was not one with a bathroom and so we had to find another place to stay. Hopefully, we will get to stay there someday.

Nice campground. Experienced issues w water pipes. They fixed immediately but muddy site in rain. Power hookup would overload and had to reset. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and quiet.

Super accueil! Terrain de camping vaste, salle de bain très propre et salle de lavage disponible. J'ai adoré mon séjour et j'y reviendrai certainement. Ha oui, il y a un terrain de jeu pour les enfant et un grande piscine que nous n'avons malheureusement pas eu le temps d'essayer. Merci beaucoup et à bientôt 🏕️
