You can rent the whole campground for a day a night, a weekend, or a whole week if that suits your need. Just send us a message and we can talk about it. We can also accommodate large groups at a single campsite or you can rent several of them. Our primary guideline is that if your event will be held while other campers are here, it cannot disturb them. So, consider renting the whole campground. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please plan to arrive and set up camp between 3 and 9 PM. If you are planning to arrive after 9 PM, please send us a message letting us know. We decide on a case by case basis since we prefer not to have late arrivals. In any event we do not accept arrivals after 11 PM except in an emergency since many campers and your host may have already gone to bed. Overview: Our beautiful 10 acre farm and homestead is situated between Ann Arbor and Dexter not far from the Huron River. The 5 acre area where our campsites are located is wooded with mature oak, maple, walnut, elm, and white pine trees. We're isolated and surrounded by wild areas and natural farm land but just a 10 minute drive to restaurants, groceries, fuel, and other amenities. The Ann Arbor area is home to a huge array of world class events from the Ark music venue to National Champions Michigan home football games and a whole lot more. Downtown Ann Arbor or Dexter or Chelsea is only a 15 minute car drive. White Lotus Farms, which has a wonderful farm market on Saturdays from 9 - 2 and Wednesdays from 9 - 1, is a 10 minute walk down our dirt road. If you forget to bring something that you need, don't hesitate to ask! We've got a growing number of camping essentials for rent or sale for very reasonable prices that can make your stay even more enjoyable: from bug repellants to camp chairs, potable water in 2.5 - 5 gallon containers, and more. NEW IN 2025 we have installed a hose with potable water near the entrance to the campground for your convenience.

We do not allow pets for our cabin guests, and have a weight limit of 50 pounds for our camping (tent/camper) guests. We have boats for rent (kayaks, canoes, row boats, paddle boats). This is not for everyone, but if you want to come and commune with nature and enjoy some peace and quiet, then this is the spot for you! Our goal to provide a peaceful, quiet ambiance for all our guests and so we don’t allow loud music and we require adherence of our quiet hours from 10pm to 10 am. If you’re using a generator, please run it during the day until 10pm, so that it’s not running all through the night.

Hello, and welcome to Superior Times Resort and Campground! We would like to take a moment and introduce ourselves. Our names are Tom and Heather Holmstrom. We were married in 2016 and have four children as part of our blended family. We are both originally from the Upper Peninsula. Superior Times Resort and Campground was the result of us wanting to do something “outside of the box” that would allow us to raise our family and show them there is more out there than the traditional path. We also wanted showcase our love and respect for the beauty of the Upper Peninsula; the area that many refer to as “God’s Country.” In December of 2016, we mistakenly pulled into the driveway of this property. At that time, it was known as Coleman’s Paradise Resort. There was a For Sale sign marking the property. We both knew at that point our fate was sealed to become this property’s new owners. We learned that this property had been a family vacation destination for nearly 100 years. We could only imagine the special memories that had been made here over the years! We wanted to become a part of that deep history. Through the many years of the resort’s history, the owners had changed and the cabins were showing true signs of their age. We knew there was A LOT of work that simply had to be done. On a wing and prayer, we somehow made this great resort ours. In April of 2017, we opened what we named Superior Times Resort and Campground. We pulled up or sleeves and went to work! Thank you for choosing us and allowing us to be part of the memories that you create here. We know that you work hard for your own money, as we do. Knowing that you chose our resort to support, means a lot to our Superior Times and Resort family team. We truly appreciate your loyalty and give special thanks to our returning customers. Our property was originally the only homestead on this road. WE offer 4 Walk in Tent sites and a RV site for small campers up 20 -24 ft- 20 Amp service Only!!! The big barn was built over 100 years ago and is still standing. The farm house was built in 1907. It has been remodeled with a second story added. Pine trees were planted to prevent erosion in the 1960's. The national park began buying land near us in the 1970's and the boundary line to the park is a half-mile from Moonshadow Camp. The area is surrounded by state forests and many hiking and biking trails. Our valley is known for incredible stargazing. Amenities include full access to the Camp kitchen and dining area. You will also have access to a Portable restroom and hand washing station which is located by our BIG BARN. Hot Showers, no problem, you can enjoy a secluded private shower in our shower house which has indoor and outdoor showers. Nearby is Lake Michigan and Esch Rd beach. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lake shore is nearby and The National Park is famous for attractions , trails, and hiking. 20 amp Electricity and Water is included in the RV site.

We are 7 miles east of Saugatuck and 5 miles north of Fennville, our site makes a perfect escape from the nearby lakeshore shopping and dining district while keeping you in close proximity to local wineries and other attractions. Just follow the paved road all the way to the end of 57th street and enter through our private drive. ....where the pavement ends, adventure begins! See ya at the river!

We tent camped over my birthday weekend on Eli’s land with my two pups. I completely understand how this spot was a Hipcamp finalist. Eli was quick to respond over messages, and cell service here is good. 2 spots for fires, one of which is on the beach. You can also tent in the clearing of trees or on the beach, & we chose the latter. Being 50 feet from the water & location wise, we were lucky enough to see sunrise and sunset! (And a fantastic moon rising) Amenities are great, including some cooking supplies for over the fire, a dog tie out in the tree clearing, and the sauna. I’ve already booked for next year same time bc we enjoyed staying here so much!

The camp set up was perfect for access to ride to the dragon trail- adding a map in workshop would be a benefit, if we had not talked to our camping neighbor it may have been a mystery. We loved the idea that we did not have to use a campsite that was wall-to-wall campers on the supersized campsites that circle the hardy river, this catered to like minded bikers/adventurers. The outdoor shower set up seemed a little rustic when we saw it on the reviews but like everyone commented it was excellent - the beer garden, again, awesome concept and well executed - We were already planning to be back next season on the drive home.

The drive in is tranquil and beautiful to the site, then you arrive and there aren’t words to describe the beauty and peaceful feeling of this campsite, immediately we could see the creativeness that went into this site, the two fire pits and sauna were perfect touches. Our pup truly loved catching his ball in the shallow water. We wished we could have stayed longer and will definitely be back!

My family loved camping here, despite a very rainy weekend! Our campsite was cool being under the trees and a perfect distance between the communal fire/hangout area and the cabin where our friends were staying. Our girls rode their bikes around all weekend, and it was easy to get to the mountain bike trail for us adults. Gorgeous trail along the reservoir! The communal area was amazing, comfortable, and very accommodating! Mark and his wife were very pleasant and got us anything we needed. Will definitely be going back!

We enjoyed our secluded week on Epoufette Bay on lake Michigan. The only visitors we had were trumpet swans and Blue Jays. The cut river inn provided our dinners when we didn't feel like cooking and it was excellent! The white fish chowder and whitefish pate were phenomenal. On our way out we stopped at Straits State Park to dump and were accosted by a Karen who caught me walking through their campsite (I thought it was a walkway) and proceeded to remind me why we don't do campgrounds!
