Site 3- Lake Side East
Weekend Getaway Gone Right!
We had a very quaint one night stay at this site. It was a little tricky to find and make sure we were in the right spot, but with a little wondering down trails we found it just fine! Very close to town with a convenient market with pretty much everything you would need. We were the only site occupied in the cluster of three sites, and it was calm and quiet and dare I say BUG FREE...! Clean Porta Jon, and almost private beach access were amazing, not to mention the sunset views. I will say that there was not a perfectly level spot to pitch a tent, and we were definitely sleeping at an angle. I would recommend this site to the savvy camper who doesn't need all of the amenities.

Camping Near Beach!
I camped at interior site #1 behind the Legs Inn cabins. It was a wonderful place to camp, close walk to the beach, easy to find, quiet for the most part (sometimes dirt bikes would ride in and out of the beach), clean porta johns, firewood. I liked it because it’s not this huge campground with people driving around at all hours, it was pretty secluded, park and walk into the site. Great stay!

Site 3- Lake Side East
Really good spot, perfect for small tents, 2-3 person sized tent. There’s a view of the lake, but also trees to block the wind. You will want to bring bug spray.

Main Campground Site 8
Slept at site 8, feeling great!
For clarity: I camped in a truck bed tent. Pros: site was beautiful! Wild flowers abound, bunnies and small furry creatures were everywhere! The lake was an easy walk and the hand pump for water was super easy to use. The portapotty was across from my site for easy late night use. The amount of fire wood provided at the site was astounding. I was there with an event in town and other attendees were just across and down the drive from me and it was so nice to walk over and hang out at campfires after dark. It rained almost my entire stay so there was no noise from the pavilion at the lake. No idea what sound would be like on a clear evening. Cons: Site 8 is a little bit sloped. If you’re using a small pull behind camper you’ll want your leveling jack/blocks/ramps. I used one ramp so my sleeping area would be fairly level and was all set. A ground tent might require some patience to get perfectly level. Very thankful for this option being open in Cross Village. My stay was a delight. ❤️

Site 3- Lake Side East
Dog friendly campsite.
Site was clean lots of free or included fire wood! We got to be the first family to stay! 2 adults 3 kids and a dog! Says no water however a well pump was on site. Shares water access with public boat launch so a little traffic is to be expected. Overall great experience!
