2Chicks And A Farm

20 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents20 acres · Bangor, MI
7 camp sites, 1 RV site, 3 Yurts, a Bohemian camp site, and new this year a TeePee Site and Hammock site. For a total of 13 options. 2Chicks And A Farm is a small working farm on 20 acres, owned and run by Julie and Theresa Graham. We are 13 minutes from South Haven and the lake. 30 minutes from the city of Kalamazoo. And just under an hour from Grand Rapids. About half of the 20 acres is wooded, which is where three of our camp sites, Hammock Haven are located. Each site has a fire ring & picnic table. One site, capable of taking a mid sized RV / Fifth Wheel, is located on the front of the property with easy access from the road. It backs up to some trails and brush/wood area and has a corn field to the right. So, even though on the front on the property, you have a feeling of privacy. It too has a fire pit and picnic table. Three camp sites are located in the pasture. One is at the bottom of the pasture (1) and quite open. It can accommodate larger groups with multiple tents. A more secluded site (5) is half open and half in light woods., and is located at the top of the pasture. The others are in the middle of the pasture, 2 for sun lovers and 3 for those who prefer more shade. For those who prefer more seclusion, we have cleared three sites in the woods. All sites have a fire ring, or metal fire pit, and picnic table. Some have fire wood boxes (we’re working on making a box for all sites). We have an outdoor propane shower that provides both hot and cold water. This is free. A coffee bar is on the back deck. Coffee is brewing around 7am. We also provide hot water, teas, hot chocolate and cider. Feeling a little peckish before breakfast, or after dinner? Help yourself to a snack. This is all free, though small donations are welcomed. Our goats, poultry, pigs, rabbits, cats and dogs and produce take up about an acre and a half. Then the rest is open space. You are welcome to collect eggs for breakfast and fresh produce from our gardens (additional fee). Use the BBQ or smoker. And even join in on farm chores if you are so inclined. Please try to plan to check-in by 9pm. Exceptions can be made. There are locally mandated quiet hours (10-7 Sun through Thur, and 11-7 Fri and Sat). Hanging out by a fire and chatting is fine.

Campout at Hostel SoHa

29 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents7 acres · South Haven, MI
Welcome travelers! We are inviting you to join us this summer for a stay like no other, right outside downtown South Haven. We are expecting our official season with events and all sorts of fun to kick off around Memorial Day but you are still welcome to camp out for a quieter stay in the meantime. Hostel SoHa is two 5,000 square foot buildings on 7 acres of private land in the process of being renovated into the first traveler's hostel in West Michigan. This summer, we are proud to announce we will be opening our first building with indoor pod-bed accommodations on May 15th. Not to worry, campers. There is still plenty of space for pitching tents, car camping, and even more amenities included with your stay. [Apirl 18th Update] Because we are still in the process of opening up a communal kitchen, a larger common area, an improved outdoor fire pit area, showers, and more there may be construction going on during your stay. This likely won’t be a disruption to your stay but we thought we’d give you the heads up. Also note, pictures on Hipcamp may not accurately reflect the space as we make these changes. We are located directly off M-43 and only a 5 minute drive to the beach; downtown South Haven; and Walmart, Aldi, and Meijer. We are also a 5 minute drive from the Kal-Haven trailhead and can help hikers and bike-packers arrange a pick up or drop off from there. The Bangor Train Station is a 12 minute drive and we can also help arrange pick up and drop off from there. This fun and central location is best suited for adults ages 18-35, but we welcome any adult looking for a more social and unique experience. This is a adult/traveler friendly environment and is not recommended for families or individuals looking for a private getaway. Unfortunately, we do not allow anyone under 18 to stay even when accompanied by an adult. Who This Stay Is Perfect For: ✔Budget Travelers ✔Solo Travelers ✔Solo Female Travelers (We are women owned & operated!) ✔Large Groups ✔University Students ✔Van Lifers/Bus Lifers ✔Young Adults ✔International Visitors ✔Car-Campers ✔Backpackers ✔Bike-Packers ✔Campers ✔Any And All Travelers Amenities We have indoor bathrooms (showers not open yet) and an indoor common area with a phone charging station, lockers for valuables (

Epic Lake Michigan Lookout Property

1 site · Tent1 acres · Norton Shores, MI
One-of-a-Kind Lake Michigan Camping Paradise with Beach Access Perched high above the waves on a secluded bluff, this extraordinary 1.3-acre camping spot offers an unforgettable Lake Michigan experience—complete with a beautiful stretch of sandy beach. There’s nothing else quite like it for pitching a tent. The first 100 feet of beach is technically private, but over the years, neighbors and locals who know about this hidden gem sometimes enjoy it—and we continue to welcome that shared spirit. So, you may see a few people. Nestled directly against the pristine and protected Dune Harbor Park, you'll have direct access to miles of hiking trails, inland lakes, birdwatching, fishing, and more. But the true magic lies in the sense of seclusion: few neighbors, minimal noise, and uninterrupted views of Lake Michigan stretching out before you. Please note: Access to the site requires a 4-wheel drive vehicle and a short hike, roughly 250 - 300 feet, up a dune. Reaching the beach involves walking down a sandy dune trail. This adventurous approach highlights the natural beauty of the area—and makes the reward at the bottom even more special. Watch the sunset blaze across the horizon, sleep to the sound of rolling waves, and wake up with deer and dune grasses outside your tent flap. Whether you're here to unplug, adventure, or just breathe in the fresh lake air, this is a place that stays with you. Explore Dune Harbor Park and its amenities here: https://muskegoncountyparks.org/dune-harbor-muskegon-county-park/ This is more than just a campsite—it's a rare piece of Michigan’s natural beauty, completely yours for the night.

One Grand Place - Riverside Retreat

7 sites · RVs, Tents2 acres · Robinson Township, MI
Welcome to our little slice of heaven along the Grand River in Grand Haven, Michigan. Voted one of the best places to visit in 2022 and 2023. This property is at the end of a private road and has three adjoining waterfront parcels that have been in the family for decades that we fondly refer to as One Grand Place. Family still lives on one of the parcels but we are excited to be sharing the other 2 parcels with all of you. One parcel is our Premium RV site on a cement pad, parallel to the river and can accommodate 1 RV (5th wheel, travel trailer, pop up, Class C etc. NO Class A's allowed). 30/50/standard 110 Electric and water hookup. Pump out is available for a fee. The other adjacent parcel at the very far west end of the property is a large grassy area with 2 sites. Both have 30 and standard 110 electric, plus water. --1 Standard RV site can accommodate 1 RV (5th wheel, travel trailer, pop up, Class C etc. NO Class A's allowed). Or, can be used as a tent site IF the tent only site is already booked. Pump out is available for a fee. --1 Tent only site. To be booked first before the Standard RV site. However, both sites are next to each other with same view. There is plenty of room to set up games, fish, play with the kids or the dogs, etc. What's not to like? It is your very own exclusive home away from home. If you don't have an RV or a tent and want to still come and visit, no problem. Rent one of our RVs or rent our tent. PLEASE NOTE: We are not a commercial campground or a business. However, there are certain rules that must be adhered to per the agreement with our local township and our neighbors along our shared private road. Property is adjacent to Connor Bayou County Park and is surrounded by natural wetlands. Perfect place to unwind, chill, enjoy the fresh air and picture perfect sunsets. Boating, swimming, jet skis, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing are just a few of the things to enjoy on the water. Bring your own boat, jet ski, kayak or rent from nearby establishments. One of many public boat launches is just a couple minute ride and Connor Bayou County Park has a kayak specific boat launch. You can also drop a kayak in at the very west end of our property right from shore. If you are bringing your own boat, jet ski, kayak and have a separate trailer, parking of that trailer must be pre-authorized due to limited space. Please inquire. Hiking, biking and wildlife, bird/eagle watching are also in the area. Spring Lake, Lake Michigan, beaches, various state/county parks, downtown Grand Haven's shops and restaurants are just a short drive away. Holland is about 30 minutes south and also has a cute downtown, craft beers, and beaches. PJ Hoffmaster State Park is 20 minutes North. If you are a thrill seeker Michigan's Adventure Amusement and Waterpark is only 30 minutes North in Muskegon. There are also many wineries, ciders and craft beer in Southwest Michigan. And many blueberry farms around too. Bottom line....there is plenty of things to do and see during your visit. You can be as active or as chill as you want to be.

Camping in Holland State Park guide

Overview

About

Sunrise-sunrise, sunset-sunset! This state park offers visitors and overnight campers a killer view of gorgeous Lake Michigan and Lake Macatawa. Stand on either beautiful beach and absorb the famous sunlight show while sailboats ease by.

Holland is also known for its biking trails that go up to 25 miles of roadside trails. And check this—they're paved. Somebody's paved the road for you so all you gotta do is show up and get your bike on. Hikers, join the roof-raising. New dune trails lead through historical Ottawa Beach and beach volleyball is set up and ready to jam.

There are two campgrounds to choose from. The Beach Campground is set in the sand dunes and offers 31 full hook up sites. The Lake Macatawa Campground is close to the boat launch near the park entryway.

You can also reserve the fully-equipped Whitetail Cabin that gives perfect Big Red Lighthouse and Holland Channel views. Whether you come to just check a sunset or stay the week, your trip is well worth the sights.

When to go

The best time to visit Holland State Park is during the summer months, from June to August, when the weather is warm and the park is fully accessible. Off-season visits, particularly from late fall to early spring, may be less ideal due to cooler temperatures and limited park services.

Know before you go

  • Check the weather forecast before your visit to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
  • Remember to bring sunscreen and insect repellent to protect against the elements.
  • Wear appropriate footwear for hiking and exploring the trails.
  • Be aware of park hours, which may vary seasonally, and plan your trip accordingly.
