2Chicks And A Farm Tent Camping
Amazing Stay!
My young adult son and I had an amazing time at Julie's place. We really, really enjoyed all of the animals - chickens, geese, ducks, goats, pigs, and farm dogs. The cats were the very best.. working cats, but incredibly sweet, loving, and clean. One spent the night in my son's tent the last night, and was a perfect gentleman. We came in "not cat people" but were converted.
Julie made amazing REAL coffee every morning... there is a donation jar. Lovely.
I forgot my fire pit grill and she let me borrow her gas BBQ to cook foil packet dinners.
Outhouse was very clean and didn't smell. Outdoor solar shower, which I used a few times to clean my hands. No ticks. No poison ivy. She had a garbage bin for campers, which few HipCamp camping sites do.
The campsites are closer than in a lot of HipCamp sites, and you will smell / hear the sounds of a farm. None of this was a problem for us.
Julie was always available, gave us a tour of her farm, so interesting to chat to about her livestock.
Lovely evening sounds of frogs, birds, and Sandhill cranes.
Close to town with a grocery store for all needs.

Sam’s Place - A Yurt
Highly Recommend 2 Chicks!
Our stay at 2 Chicks and a Farm was quite enjoyable. We stayed in Sam the Yurt, a cozy and well-equipped space that offered the perfect balance of comfort and rustic charm. 2 camp chairs and two camp beds were provided, just bring your own bedding. The campsite itself is mostly tucked away from the hustle and bustle, providing a relaxing environment.
During my stay, we experienced a thunderstorm, and I was impressed to find that the yurt remained completely dry—a testament to its excellent construction. Julie, our host, was warm and welcoming.
Though we only added firewood to our reservation, 2 Chicks and a Farm also offers some other great add-ons for modest extra fees , to make your stay even better.
Located just a short 15-minute drive from South Haven, 2 Chicks and a Farm serves as the perfect base for exploring the beautiful coastal area. I wholeheartedly recommend this unique and memorable camping destination to anyone looking to unwind and connect with nature.

Warm and Welcoming
Hospitality. Not only was the campsite lovely with all necessary amenities, but we felt welcome. I had five kids with me, and Julie made their stay magical (despite 20 hours of rain). They are already talking about their next visit and who they will bring with them to their new favorite place.

Julie and Krista are wonderful people. The sites were nice and spread out enough. Julie has pigs, chickens and more on her farm that were very entertaining to see.
I was traveling through with my dog who had cancer and they were very loving to her.
I will be staying again. ☺️

Lucy The Yurt
We had a fantastic July 4 holiday in Lucy the Yurt! Pretty little working farm and our host Julie was phenomenal! Upon learning that we were going to be arriving very late, she offered to have a fire going for us when we arrived. Handmade breakfast picked up on the front porch and hot brewed coffee on the back porch was a nice treat! The homemade jams = amazing! The opportunity to take a hot shower for a small fee was awesome with four nights of camping! Highlight of the trip were the kittens and enjoying all the farm animals! My 13-year-old who loves to game, didn’t even miss the electronics! Win!
