You get an incredible view of the stars when it’s a clear night and the sound of the water trickling in the pond was soothing.

Titus is a very caring host. He is very prompt to communicate and he made sure I was doing ok during my stay (I was hot tent camping in snow). His thoughtfulness and creativity was everywhere in the campground - instructions were found right at the amenity I didn’t have to ask anything. I came on my own this time but I’d love to come back with kids next time. They would love the swing, the ship, fishing and animals.

Titus has created a great little get away! The grounds were well kept and sites are all far enough away from each other that there is a lot of privacy. He was a very helpful and welcoming host. Would definitely recommend staying here. Google maps will try to take you to the wrong house (the one just before) so just make sure you look for the actual address. It’s the driveway lined with trees on both sides.

Centrally located to many interesting places. Titus very friendly and showed me where everything was. Showerhouse and outhouse(pump toilet) exceptionally clean and well stocked. Even had towels incase you forgot. Loved waking up in the morning with the sheep in the fields. It rained while I was there and Titus let me move to higher site with no issues. Hope to visit again in the future.

Oh man! What an amazing place. Great private spot, great host, very accommodating and friendly, would 100% stay here again. Definitely a back in site as advertised we had a 30 foot travel trailer. But It was not too bad to navigate. Concrete drive and level. Very quiet the whole week. Duck hunting season was happening during our visit so the mornings but I actually enjoyed listening to that in the morning while walking the dog. Great outdoors experience, quiet neighborhood

This overnight worked great for us. The little compound was beautifully planned and built and very accommodating - creative details everywhere, a firepit with cooking grate, a little roof over the bench by the fire, dry firewood. I liked the the little building with the sleeping berths so much I'm thinking about building one myself. The hosts were super nice, interesting people and I enjoyed getting to know them. I hope to be back.

We bought this property in 2012 and have built several buildings and forged paths throughout the 32 acres. Our road is part of the North Country Trail, a footpath stretching over 4,600 miles from Middlebury in central Vermont to Lake Sakakawea State Park in central North Dakota. While tearing down the existing house, we constructed two bedrooms in the pole barn for a quick living space. Once settled in the pole barn, we a built a small log cabin with already felled timbers from the local woods, except for the box frame which was purchased from the local Amish. Prior to building our permanent log cabin home, this small cabin was our camp site and is now being rented to people that want to relax and enjoy the outdoors. In the middle of the woods, we created a campground to be enjoyed by hikers and on the North side of our property is a tree line between two fields that is a great small camper/tent camping spot.

The property is at mile market 13 of the Kal-Haven Trail - the midpoint. Literally steps from the property and you are on the trail. But you may not need to leave the property, with 6.3 acres of woods and field, with trail cut through PLUS the added public lands butted up to Tincan's property line, giving almost 20 acres to roam. Each RV site - far enough apart to be separate, close enough if you and friends/family want to camp together, has a fire pit and fireplace. Each RV site offers water, 30|50AMP electrical and septic. The dock may have availability for keeping you boat - please inquire. There are kayaks and some bikes (mostly teen and adult size) that may be used. These are shared amenities for the cabin and campsite guests and offered on a first come, first serve basis. Learn more about this land: Our little slice of heaven is nestled back off the country road- with over 30 acres, we have a couple of old horse pastures and barns, a beautiful grassy area that has a large fire pit and a natural pond. Some wood is provided for your initial fire; more can be purchased from us for $5 per bundle. We have basic electricity, a country swing, a dock if you would like to fish- we also have nice grassy walking paths and a wooded area as well. Our land is very peaceful and safe. The perfect space to unplug and unwind and to recharge yourself. While we do only consider our space one site, it is large enough for groups as big as 30 ppl, with plenty of room to set up tents in your desired areas. Campers and trailers are welcome, with limited size requirements and space; we also restrict where they can be parked. We are very close to several rivers in the area, so bring your kayaks, or inner tubes and float down the rivers for a peaceful afternoon. We’re not too far from Lake Michigan (easy day trip), Kalamazoo or Lansing, Several breweries in the area- (Battle Creek, Kalamazoo and Marshall) as well as a casino (Marshall). We are in a very nice happy medium to a lot of Michigan favorite spots. Come and enjoy the quiet country- and get some amazing star lit skies. Ask about our “glamping” set up, for an additional fee We can accommodate large groups, or family gatherings. Large groups (over 10) must add on an additional portable toilet to their stay (seasonal only We have an open air shower (see photos) that is cold water- but can be hot on sunny days. We also have a sink area. Well trained- recall ready pets are welcomed- please pick up after your pet. We do have free range ducks that use the pond- who should be respected. Leashes are required for all dogs who are dangerous to our animals. *We are now accepting winter rentals, winter campers should prep for the cold winter weather and should have 4w drive capability’s. We do a meet and greet with our guests and will show you to the space; go over any information that we need to with you, and then we try and leave you to the space so you can experience it for yourself and enjoy your time.
