We are situated at the end of a private road with only 2 residences. 12+ wooded acres to enjoy(hiking/exploring). At this time, only Sprinter Vans, Truck Campers and small trailers are ideal for the RV sites. Tent campers set up at the back of the property in the woods. Several hiking trails and locations to camp. There are multiple fire rings out back and plenty of fallen wood to burn or you can purchase seasoned split wood bundles on site. Suggested Local Attractions: The property borders a public golf course, downtown Lake Orion or Oxford are less than 1.5 miles as is public access to All-Sports Lake Orion(the lake) as well as others in the area. Dozens of miles of hiking/mountain biking trails. Bald Mountain State Park and Addison Oaks trailheads 2 and 3 miles respectively. Disc Golf courses. Public beaches, paved trails, etc. Or you can just hang out and watch the various wildlife that frequent the property. At least a dozen breweries, distilleries, restaurants a couple miles away, easily able to walk/bike/drive.

There are currently 2 grassy spaces for tent camping, 1 rustic area for car, van or camper stays and one small heated cabin with electricity. (please indicate estimated arrival time as we will need to be present to show you in) Check out is 12pm sharp. 5 nights max. NO BUG SPRAY OR SMOKING CIGARETTES ON SITE! This is a chem-free garden where lots of food and medicine is grown. Use bug spray or smoke your cigarette at the street. Very nice and clean outdoor composting toilet. Outdoor rainwater shower and changing room during warmer months (not heated. Must use non toxic soap provided. Bring a towel. No offsite wood permitted, no foraging for wood on site, burning of trash or burning outside of designated area. If you would like to purchase a bundle of wood to have a fire, you can find that option under "extras". WE CAN NOT ACCOMMODATE DOGS AT THIS TIME. Our space is a shared sanctuary. This is strictly rustic camping on your own, I live in the tiny house and you are able to choose your site anywhere on the property. There are no facilities for use at all. You are responsible to bring everything needed. No more than 2 nights are allowed. 1 tent per site no more than 4 people to a tent, Extra persons is another site and limited to one tent and 4 people. No limit on number of sites. There are residential homes and quiet time is strictly 10pm until 8am, Fires are allowed. All garbage and waste must be removed and will be charged for failure of properly removing any garbage and waste.

We loved camping at Lyanna's. Her and her husband are super cool people and we felt right at home camping on their land. They have the sweetest dog, too who would come greet us everyday. We will definitely stay again when in the area and definitely recommend a stay there. It's pretty primitive, but it's a safe spot of land to prop a tent on.

This site already has lots of good reviews that all proved true, so I’ll just add one more thing from my perspective. I went camping here as a solo female camper, which means I’m extra vigilant about my safety. I loved the fact that Michael meets all campers upon arrival, has them sign paperwork, and communicates very quickly. It made me feel much more at ease during my stay.

Lyanna is an absolutely lovely person and a gracious host, and her husband is also a lovely person. They also have the sweetest dog in the world, and she might come to visit you. Their property is set up very nicely for campers, yard is kept well, and we had no issues with setting our gear up, just as we wanted. The fire pit had everything we needed, and there are lots of very pretty trails you can walk, right off of the property! This is a great little pit stop if you’re looking to camp for one or two nights, and it’s also a great alternative to a rigid rule-imposing campground, if you’re doing things in the area. Lyanna and her husband will take very good care of you. 😊

When I first pulled up, I was a little concerned. It definitely wasn’t the type of neighborhood I was expecting. But back in the camping area was surprisingly quiet and serene. I woke up to birds chirping and surrounded by trees. The rustic bathroom area was super cute and clean. I loved having a spacious area with mirrors and water to get dressed and ready for the day. I was the only person there when I stayed, so it was lovely, but I will say, if any other campers had been there, it might have been a little awkward. The campsites are very close together. But if you’re staying with a group, the little fire pit is right in the middle and would be a cute place to hang out. Overall I was satisfied and would probably stay again if I needed a place near the city.

We had a great time! The host is extremely helpful and responsive. The campground and outhouse are very clean. It’s challenging but fun to drive on the path back to the campground. Located very close to town so everything is convenient. That being said, you can hear some road noise in the night.
