I have two sites available that will accommodate both travel trailers, as well as tents. Both have 30amp RV and 120v outlets, as well as lights for late arrival setup. In the welcome Hut, you will find dry firewood for purchase, as well as a refrigerator and freezer for use by our guests. Each site has its own labeled shelf to keep your perishables fresh. Also available for purchase are organic farm fresh eggs, cold soda, and bottled water, as well as bags of ice in the freezer. At Grateful Acres we aim to make your stay with us, as enjoyable as possible.
The two sites sit on 3 beautiful, quiet acres in Northern Michigan. Site #1 is flat, open, and spacious, while site #2 is a bit more enclosed and private tucked into the trees. Both sites come furnished with a picnic table, a fire ring with attached grill for cooking and 2 adirondack chairs. The Star gazing at night is absolutley Amazing!!
The property is centrally located between Petoskey, Harbor Springs and Alanson. Nearby are many lakes, rivers, state forests, mountain biking trails, golf courses and ski resorts. Come on up, Stay at Grateful Acres and enjoy all that Beautiful Northern Michigan has to offer.

If you are looking to connect with nature, we think you'll love Camp 437. Currently we are offering our property solely to you! As our only guests you will enjoy a very private, secluded experience at our 40 acre camp. Our property is undeveloped, so you will need to bring your own drinking water, but there's no need to worry about finding firewood before you arrive as we supply you with all you need.
Be sure to bring along your water shoes because our wooded trails will guide you right to the river's edge where you can enjoy the beauty and wildlife along the West Branch of the Sturgeon River, with no roads or houses in sight! This is also a great spot for stargazing and to watch the perseids meteor shower.
For your convenience, a short walk from your campsite is a spacious rain shelter that includes 2 picnic tables, extra chairs, solar lights, and lots of books and games for rainy days. There's also a swing, a hammock, and a charcoal grill available.
Please note, Camp 437 is completely off grid and offers a primitive camping experience; you will be in direct contact with nature and it might feel as if you are in the middle of nowhere, yet the convenience of the village of Vanderbilt is just three miles away. Please be aware that with rustic camping brings unique experiences, such as our 3 sided, open air pit toilets made from repurposed materials.
We are located just three miles off of I-75 and the larger city of Gaylord is only a 15 minute drive south. There's lots to do here in beautiful Northern Michigan... only a few miles from our camp you can go for a swim at Thumb Lake Park or take a bike ride along the North Central State Trail in Vanderbilt. Drive 15 minutes north and you can canoe or kayak the main branch of the Sturgeon River in Wolverine. There are many great hiking trails in the Pigeon River State Forest and the North Country National Scenic Trail is only 6 miles away.

Please come enjoy the nature sanctuary of Wild Woods. While we're less than 20 minutes from Petoskey, Alanson, Indian River, and Wolverine, the vibe out here is pure Upper Peninsula backcountry. This is an established homestead, and I'm continuing to grow and improve it.
Explore my 10 acres of diverse habitats, or venture out onto the miles of trails that begin just a quarter mile down the road at the Wildwood Hills Pathway Trailhead. From there, you can hike, bike, ride, or drive for hours on maintained trails, seasonal roads, and ORV trails. You can even reach Weber Lake, most businesses in Wolverine, and Indian River without traveling on a main road—except to cross one.
The trails are full of berries, mushrooms, and beautiful scenery. Be sure to check the state trail information before heading out. While some trails are designated for hiking, horseback riding, or dirt bikes only, most are open to off-road vehicles if you're feeling adventurous. I've been exploring them in my hybrid AWD Ford Maverick, and it's handled them just fine.
Depending on your camping style, winter camping may also be an option for snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, or snowshoeing along the same trail system.
I only ask that you respect the land, the animals, and the wildlife. Duck eggs may be available for purchase upon request, and I hope to offer more farm products in the future.

We had a good time tent camping in Hidden Meadow. We enjoyed the walking trail around the property and had a great view of the stars at night! The site isn't very secluded — you can see the house through the trees — but it was nice and quiet. The included firewood was great, and Phil came to check on us and see if we needed more. Nice proximity to hiking spots too. Would definitely stay here again!

This place has exceed our expectations so much that we've extended our stay multiple times! The portable toilets are well maintained, the flushable toilets are super nice and the showers are solar and close to camp.
When we arrived our first night it was late and we had an issue with our reservation gping through but the owner was responsive and HipCamp fixed the issue immediately at 11 pm on a friday night. Can't day enough good things about this experience.

Dave was a very helpful host and the location was great: peaceful with an amazing view of the stars and Milky Way. We also enjoyed walking the scenic property.
The pit toilet was better than what I typically expect from them: much better than the ones in Sleeping Bear Dunes.

20 ft campervan
We parked our camper van at site 2. The site overlooks the flower gardens and marsh. The site has a nice sitting area with a metal campfire holder. The bathroom are about 150 feet away and are really luxurious. There’s a waterfall shower and lots of space to change.
There were tons of birds and we saw a family of otters in the marsh. We walked around the woods and farm and were very impressed.
Anna is a great host and very responsive to questions.

Weekend Trip to Blissfest Festival Farm
We loved this place! Stayed in a cabin this time but would love to go back in our camper.
Little bummed that someone took the firepit before we could use it but other than that great place and great vibes!

Best set up we’ve had at a place. This is our second time using Hipcamp. Definitely will be back at this location. Love the stargazing trail & shower set up was cool. Loved learning a new game called Kubb. Phil was a great host & to talk to. Also, enjoyed meeting the other campers.
