Sites were spaced out nicely, offering a good amount of privacy. Our site had a fire pit with a grill. It was awesome how Phil provided a lighter and kindling in a dry box to help get our fire started. There was also plenty of wood available to burn.

This by far was the best hip camp that we have stayed at by ourselves or with others. The location was perfect for us to travel to The Highlands for down hill mtb. Phil has a cute little stand where you can buy unique handcrafted games hes made. The outdoor shower and portable pots are a plus also. Will definitely return if in the area again

My fiancé and I had a great time at Phil’s rustic campsite #4. We loved the property and it was so nice having a hot shower available plus firewood included in the stay. There were other campers present but we could barely hear them from our site and it felt very private overall. Clearly a lot of care and upkeep goes into keeping these sites nice. Would highly recommend!

What a great find! Phil was super responsive and even met us out front to lead us in to our site when we finally made it super late. The power had been knocked out due to a storm and Phil gave us the option to look for a different site or still stay at his and use a generator. I am so glad we chose to keep the reservation. Bathroom, shower, activities for the kids all A+!

…….. if you ever plan to go back to State Park Camping!!!!! Hidden Meadows was our first Hipcamp and we loved it.
We wanted to get away from the busy state parks and crowded campgrounds and Hidden Meadows was exactly what we wanted (and needed)! The whole property was nicely set up to accommodate outhouses, outdoor shower, yard games, firewood (which was a major plus in my book), and cute signs around the grounds that was fun to look at while taking the dogs for walks. We will definitely be back!!

Phil's place was awesome. Everything that was required to start a fire was provided. The grounds had many yard games that were at your disposal. Shower worked great. Site felt very secluded and had plenty of space.

Phil's place is very nice and he does a great job maintaining it. There are so many nice and thoughtful little gestures on the property. You can tell he really takes pride in his work. We will certainly keep this place in mind when we are in the area in the future.

My pup & I loved camping on Phil's land! There were other campers but it was still so quiet and peaceful. I stayed in the rustic #4 spot and I appreciated the extremely clean vault toilet nearby complete with soap and water next to it. There were so many added touches like free firewood & kindling, & games. I can't wait to return!

We enjoyed tent camping in early spring. Beautiful property with pretty views and lots of fun stuff to do (thanks to Phil's yard games). Beautiful area of northern Michigan.

This spot was a wonderful location for a great price. There was lots of wood and kindling provided to stay warm by the fire, we never got bored because Phil has plenty of yard games to play while at camp. Petoskey was less than 30 minutes away and we even found a wonderful nature preserve nearby called the Agnes S. Andreae Nature Preserve that I would highly recommend. Phil was quick with any questions and was often seen on site making improvements to the campgrounds. We truly had everything we needed and would happily stay again!

Phil’s Hidden Meadow is an absolute gem. A centralized location, just off I-75 and about 10 miles from Petoskey makes it ideal for those exploring Northern Michigan. Rustic site #4 is tucked away on a nice level parcel. Perfect layout for solar power. Each site is complete with fire ring, firewood and kindling, trash can, patio table with umbrella. Modern sites have electricity. There is a shower stall, water spigot, toilet and wash basin in the communal area. Toilet #2 is near the rustic site 4. Stargazers will love this camp spot as there is a designated clearing for stargazing. From big rigs to small overlanding rigs to tent set-ups, Phil can accommodate you. I don’t think a day goes by that Phil isn’t working to improve upon his HipCamp. It’s a great stay, off the beaten path. Check out his yard games, too!

Phil has prepared the site very well. Water and electric was very handy and everything you needed for a campfire was right there. We enjoyed 2 nights and would definitely look to stay again if we get into the area. I wish we had the opportunity to meet Phil and convey our appreciation.

This is my second time staying at Hidden Meadow. It is on a dead-end road with virtually no traffic, so it is peaceful and secluded. There are three spots to choose from; one of the other spots was occupied, but the spots are roomy so you're not on top of each other. Would definitely recommend Hidden Meadow.

Beautiful private but spacious campsite. We enjoyed the stargazing field and were able to catch the aurora borealis as well. There were other camp sites close by but the area still felt private. They also supplied fire kindling and wood. We would definitely stay here again! T-Mobile was 2 bars of 5G and Starlink was 30Mbps

We are on a 31 day trip. We are towing a 20 foot travel trailer along with our 2 dogs. This was a favorite stop for us. Phil has designed a space for travelers with great spacing between sites and with many amenities. There are they laces to walk either onsite or down the unpaved road. This was such a great option for us vs. a traditional campground.

We enjoyed our stay at Phil's place. Very peaceful. Enjoyed our campfires with wood that Phil provides for the campsite. Was able to enjoy the Harvest moon rising up over the back meadow. Would stay again if we are in the area.

It was a cool little remote camp site. We had the whole camp ground to ourselves. Did see a ton of stars and even heard some coyotes off in the background.
Camp site offered precut wood with all the essentials to quickly start a fire.

Phil is an excellent host. The campsite was clean and easily accessible. Room for a camper or tent. Everything was as described. Phil was quick to answer any questions. I would go back and recommend it to anyone looking for a great campsite with good views of the night sky.

Beautiful and peaceful. Love the peace sign on the front of the barn. Has a shower for use too... Which I was thrilled about!!! And Toilet... Which I didn't need cause I travel with my own... But it was nice to know it was there if needed.
