Lake Huron Frontage Campsite
The site was peaceful and quiet. It really is an amazing spot. We had a few questions and the host always answered quickly and was extremely friendly. The entire area is amazing. We recommend a day trip to the Soo Locks to watch the ships go through. It was awesome! We also enjoyed sitting by the water and watching the ducks dive for fish. We can’t say enough good things about this site. Try it for yourself!

Just an amazing place if you want peace and quiet. The scenery is awesome. This site has everything I like with camping......privacy, good scenery, electricity, plenty of room to sprawl out. Feels like you are on the shores of Vancouver Island. Camp host was quick to respond to questions. Directions are on point. The pics are accurate to what you will see when you get there. DeTour Village is only 3 miles away. They have necessities if you need them, as well as a gas station. I personally loved my 3 days here and definitely plan on coming back.

Lake Huron Frontage Campsite
This was our second time staying at Ginell’s property. We absolutely love it. Breathtaking views, total privacy. Exactly what we have come to expect. Our moderately sized camper is perfect for this site and having power was a giant bonus. Host Ginell is fantastic!! We plan to make this trip atleast once a year for a lovely UP get away.

So peaceful and beautiful! You have the whole site to yourself. Very clean. We had our Class A RV and our Jeep Wrangler, plenty of room! Took our Kayaks and our dog had a great time in the water too! Would definitely recommend and go back in the future 👍❤

We loved camping on this site, waking up to the sound of waves, watching ships go by (2-3 a day), and the privacy that allowed our dogs to roam with us. If you're looking for a very peaceful, quiet, solitude experience, right on the water, this is it. Professional electrical hookup, level spot. Tricky to turn around with an 36' TT but we did it. When looking for the 2Track for Cove Row, look for the orange triangle.

Lake Huron Frontage Campsite
What a peaceful place Ginell's land was. She was very flexible with us in planning and was quick to communicate.
The sandy path to the water was very helpful and we enjoyed kayaking in the protected cove area. Saw lots of birds and boats as well as some shooting stars while we were there. We had lots of campfires in the large fire pit, and there was ample dead wood around to burn.
We ended up making trips to the roadside park 5 miles down the road to use the facilities when needed. It worked out well. DeTour was only 2.5 miles down the road so we were able to visit the dollar general for supplies, and were easily able to get on the ferry to Drummond Island.
We will definitely stay again!

Our best camping trip to date! We brought our paddle boards and explored the lake and the islands. So many sandy coves to dock and chill and relax and beautiful islands with beaches to explore. We can’t wait to go back.
Ginell is a great host and has a very special spot. Thanks for sharing your gem with us! 💚
There is a campground 24 miles west called Loon’s Point Campground that allows outsiders to dump waste for $7. They also sell ice and firewood.
We brought our own solar lights for the property, which really helped out at night and looks even more beautiful (picture shown).

A beautiful spot on a quiet bay on Lake Huron. Watch freighters go by and listen to the loons that visit each night. If you want to relax and just enjoy nature, thus is a wonderful place. If you want to do "things" (restaurants, casino, tourist things), you'll have to drive a bit. This place is definitely perfect for unplugging and unwinding. It was very nice to have electricity because it was hot!

Amazing spot!! The views are unbeatable, and Ginell was a great host. The site is very private and secluded, you can barely hear any traffic from the road. We will definitely use the site again next time we’re in the U.P.

Such beautiful land and lake! Highly recommend to anyone who wants to relax and get away from everything. It was quiet, freighter watching was very cool and we were grateful enough to enjoy the northern lights! Easy to find and a short drive to De Tour and Drummond Island.

Absolutely beautiful views of Lake Huron and Strawberry Island. Very peaceful. The small beach and fire pit are great for sitting around, listening to the waves and watching the boots out in the water. Everything was just as the host stated. Far enough off the beaten path but close enough for enjoying everything nature has to offer. The host has done a fabulous job with the land and we look forward to returning on our future adventures!

Beautiful property and wonderful view of the Northwestern tip of Lake Huron - right to the horizon. The vista with tree lined shores to the east and strawberry island right across is absolutely beautiful. 100% private. Nice little sandy are to have a fire and cocktail. The views of the occasional freighter are really nice. The pad for our truck and camper trailer was just big enough for maneuvering. The 30 amp electric was a great bonus. Can also take the 5 minute ride to DeTour Village and catch the ferry to Drummond- which was very nice. Host is professional, responsive and accommodating. Would recommend - but please keep it a secret!

Very beautiful and quiet property. Cute little town to get food. Great place to getaway and unwind! Evening campfires and going to sleep with the sound of the waves was lovely!! We slept in a tent in the grassy area. Huge gravel lot for motor homes etc. Hope to return and explore Drummond island as a day trip.

Excellent location loved the property. Just a caution though with the 28ft camper and 1 ton long box pickup the sight was too tight to turn around but the driveway is well maintained and wide enough to back out of easily.
While I understand the need for it I felt the trail cam pointing directly at the sight was invasive.
