This is one of the beat sites we have ever stayed in. So secure and gorgeous and spacious and secluded! We spent hours by the fire watching the stars and ships going past and had a perfect view of the Milky Way.

This campsite could not be more perfect for our desires. Private, quiet, well kept, right on the water. Its everything it is advertised to be and more. Cannot wait to go back. Ginell is a fantastic communicator and very responsive. I brought in a 40’ fifth wheel that is 13’ 5” tall and was able to back it into the sight. If you desire to setup an RV on the west side of the pad bring a long electrical cable because the electric hookup is on the west side of a nice beautiful 45’ wide pad.

Great Host + Mother Nature!

We enjoyed this camp just as much as our first visit in 2024. The host provides a great landmark / welcome sign at the driveway, a secure and sturdy property gate, a spacious, level vehicle pad, a power box and fire ring. Mother Nature provides the rest!
A beautiful display of northern Great Lakes life for you to swim and relax in. A short drive east, DeTour Village and Drummond Island are fun places to explore. West is Hessel, Cedarville and Les Cheneaux Islands. Friendly and historic towns.
This is truly a tucked-away paradise HiCamp spot.

One of my favorite campsites I’ve been to! The site was very easy to find and get to in my RAV4. Completely private, you can see some neighbors in the distance when you are in the water, but far enough away there’s no disturbance. We tent camped right on the sand and loved hearing the water at night. My dog definitely enjoyed this place and I can’t wait to be back.

Second to none

The peace and tranquility never fails to recharge us when we stay here. Freighters pass daily, the night sky is so dark you can see the Milky Way like it’s a river of dancing twinkling lights just begging for a photo. The location is private, yet close to Drummond Island and De Tour Village for rock hunting or just a nice evening dinner at one of the restaraunts on the island (Esther’s Mexican) is fantastic! We look forward to many more stays in this one of a kind location.

Very scenic, quiet and private, and the gate provides an added sense of security. With nearly zero light pollution and a new moon, I saw the most spectacular night skies of my life. Perfect site for kayaking too.

We couldn’t have asked for a better trip to Ginell’s beach front paradise. Ginell made the check-in/check-out a breeze with her great communication and process description.

A slice of paradise!

The absolute peace, quiet and solitude so close to a charming village as well as Drummond Island is beyond words. This was our third trip here with another scheduled for later this summer, iYou cant have a bad day in this slice of paradise. The host is great to communicate with and is top notch.

We loved having complete privacy on this beautiful water front property. Quiet and peaceful all week long. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to be away from busy campgrounds.
This was a bit of a tight squeeze getting out with our 23 foot camper, but we made it work.

This blew every expectation we had away. The site is perfect, the lake views are amazing. It's very private. There were some reviews about the cameras she has out on the property and honestly I would do the same thang with this piece of heaven. The one by the shed is pointed down at the door. The one that over looks the site is there to protect what's she's sharing. It honestly didn't bother us. The property trumps that one inconvenience if you can even call it that. The host is great. The communication is fantastic. If you're thinking about booking it just do it. You will not be disappointed.

Our third time and it was wonderful as always Ginell is very very helpful and extremely prompt with answering questions and texts Our now 2 yr old golden retriever has the time of her life running free The campsite is very spacious and open St Ignas is a great place to buy fresh walleye and perch as well as smoked fish and world famous fudge Bring bug spray the mosquitoes can be very bothersome but it is the north woods and camping Ginell thanks for another memorable vacation See you next year

Absolutely amazing!

Wow! Just wow! This was our first Hipcamp experience. We have two senior dogs that because of their enthusiasm to bark at people we feel bad when camping as they spend a lot of time in the RV. We reserved 5 days here, it was so peaceful and private we added 3 days. The dogs roamed free, the spot was so quiet and relaxing. The free firewood was bonus, our host was very communicative, this was the best UP trip we’ve ever had.

Absolutely awesome campsite! The location couldn’t be better—close to the ferry for easy access to Drummond Island, yet tucked away enough to feel completely private and peaceful. The views of Lake Huron and Strawberry Island are absolutely beautiful and make this spot even more special. The host was outstanding—friendly, responsive, and an excellent communicator. Everything exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be back!

You truly are sitting lakefront. I sat on a couple of boulders and just watched the waves. So incredibly peaceful.
Instructions were clear and directions were easy to follow.
One thing I will note is that you truly are rural - there is a grocery store and a few food options, but it's limited. Of you are an early riser, know that many of the food establishments open later.
The site is absolutely gorgeous. I simply could not have asked for a better experience.

One Of A Kind

This was by far my favorite camping trip. Everything was so clean, calm, serene, well put together, and gorgeous. We drove 7 hours just to spend 2 nights here and it was well worth it. The beauty of the site cannot be fully captured in pictures. Once we arrived, we didn’t even leave the site. So much to do with paddling, exploring strawberry island, walking along the shores and just enjoying the views. This is a one of a kind location. My two dogs had a blast and got to roam free the whole weekend. There is also just an overall safe feeling you get at this campsite.
Everything is perfect and well thought out. I hope to return!

We had an amazing time with our 5 and 7 year old! They loved exploring the area, kayaking on Lake Huron, hiking, boating/fishing on Caribou Lake, and so much more. Best find and extremely convenient!!!

Our second time staying at this spot and cant wait for a third! Great spot for paddle boarding or kayaking. We will be returning just as long as Ginell is willing to share her little piece of paradise with us. :)
