20 acres of beauty! Nestled in the middle of the 20 acres is a great clearing for a camp site or RV. Fire pit and starter wood provided. We have a Porto Jon on site that is cleaned weekly, outside shower, washing station, and electrical hook up. Newly added Gazebo to get out of the rain! Explore all of our trails and enjoy your camping experience without anyone around you. The millions of stars are amazing. Plenty of wildlife to observe. The nearby Dowagiac creek offers rental of kayaks to travel down the creek on a hot day (10 mins away). The local town of Dowagiac also offers many great restaurants and activities during the summer. This was our second time booking Gage - we love the privacy, plenty of space around the campsite, and great views of the night sky. The amenities are unlike other Hipcamp sites - great to have the water, bathroom, and shower. Joseph is a good communicator; sending details before and checking in on us when there. We will be back in spring time!

Another amazing weekend at Gage Street Sanctuary!! This time not just me but with a couple of friends and had a great time reading scary stories by the campfire! I would stay here every weekend if I could!

Nice, Secluded Campsite!

It was a very nice, secluded facility. It was easy to find and well-maintained. It had plenty of space for dogs to run off-leash. Ten minutes from the site was Fred Russ State Forest with lots of walking trails, and also a small convenience store called Happy Jake’s that has ice, beer, soda, candy, chips, a deli and friendly workers. The porta potty at the site was spotless and odor-free. When we were leaving, the truck was already there to clean the porta potty. We had good communication with the site owner. We would definitely return.

Great site! Very large open area with picnic table, huge fire pit, sink, super clean port a potty and outside shower! Host excellent with communication. Fast replies. Nice to have electric hookup !! Would highly recommend

I cannot say enough about how incredible this space was! This spot was secluded and private so I didn’t see a single person for 4 days. It was just myself and my two dogs. Waking up in the morning to pick a fresh apple off the tree next to my tent “Adam and Eve” style brought a unique connection to nature that you just can t experience anywhere else. Being secluded in nature was exactly what I needed to recharge! Will be returning in September and likely again in October!!
