The Haven

The Haven was perfect for our little one night camping trip. Kat was such a delight to communicate with and greeted us with a little bucket of goodies. We rented the kayaks and the river in the morning was so peaceful. We want to come back for a longer stay!

Nice cozy campsite behind the property that sits right by the river for easy access to kayak and fishing. A few other nearby sites on the property, but still very private and quiet.

Great Stay at the Trailer

Cozy Camper (site 5)

We really enjoyed the trailer at the Haven. With the weather being in the 90s that weekend, the trailer was a perfect space to spend the night. The outdoor area outside of the trailer felt remote. From where we sat around the fire, it felt like we were alone. The river is a very short walk away and was very scenic. We love that this location was only a few minutes from the downtown area of Niles.

Our views were great and i liked the location. There is a porta potty if you need it. No tables available, so you'll want to make sure to have table/chairs if you want them. Being by the river, there's lots of mosquitoes, so make sure to bring the bug spray! Overall a good site and pretty much what we expected!

We loved tent camping here! The river was perfect for paddle boarding. We had the most private spot (3) and loved the secluded feeling. A wonderful property!

Kat provided a beautiful, shaded site next to the river. We had plenty of room for two tents and camp chairs. The canopy is a nice spot to relax and watch the water. We really appreciated the extremely clean port-a-john.

The Cove (site 4)

There was a little mix up with Hipcamp overbooking, but Kat was very flexible and still had a spot for us to settle in! It was a very nice space to spend the weekend, and the river was great for kayaking and fishing.

I loved tent camping at the cozy corner. The river, deck, and kayaks really made the trip so much fun. The owners are very hospitable and thoughtful, and I would highly recommend camping here.

My family and i really enjoyed this location. Not sure if it was the time of year but we had run off the whole place. We stayed at camp 1 that gave us direct access to the shared doc but recommend site 3 of your looking for a more secluded space. The host was very attentive, shared local places to check out and shared firewood. While a local road was near, the loudest things around was the turkey somewhere in the distance. As a note that was not loud at all. We will absolutely plan a return trip and suggest this place.

Beautiful spot right on the water

Beautiful spot right on the river. Spot 1 is literally right at the dock and fire pit you see in pics. We fished and foraged for ramps. There are 100’s of ramps everywhere! I will say this is very near houses so if you are looking for a middle of nowhere site this isn’t for you. That being said the hosts are lovely, they gave us a cute little basket with s’mores ingredients. We brought our dog with us and had no problems at all. Such a quiet and beautiful place to camp.

Kat was a wonderful host — very helpful and always quick to respond to our messages. She also shared some great tips about the area. The campsite is right by the river and it’s beautiful. We visited during a cooler time, but we were still able to enjoy a campfire. I would definitely recommend this campsite!
