Talk about a beautiful spot on the lake! Our time was short but there were paddle boats and life jackets available for us to use. We will definitely be back for a longer stay with the kids next time. Tammy was absolutely amazing and we really enjoyed talking with her.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time camping here. Tammy was an incredible host, very kind and accommodating to us. The property is beautifully situated on the lake, which is perfect for swimming, kayaking, fishing etc. The campsites were well spaced out and maintained a level of privacy even with a few other campers staying at the same time. I would highly recommend staying here!

Weekend Trip to Vagabond Resort & Campground

Great place!!! Great price! We just happened to stumble upon this hidden gem on the 4th of July and were able to get a great rustic drive up spot. They have clean restrooms with showers and laundry facilities!! They had little office gift shop where you could get cold soda, ice, souvenirs, all your basic necessities and firewood bundles. There’s a 400 foot beach with a dock that was perfect for watching the fireworks over the lake. Big mosquitoes, bring your bug spray (but they have some at the office just in case!) A young boy was in the water waist deep till the stars came out, catching pike, small mouth and trout. The owner was awesome. Kenny. He had the cutest accent and was so hospitable, even took it upon himself to move our site over so we were not right next to people and sent his grandsons to deliver our wood . There were cabins, electric/rv and rustic spots. Very peaceful.

Tammy was an amazing host! Really set the standard for hospitality!! Had a great shaded spot that overlooked the lake. Tammy brought over a fire pit as well. Provided kayaks to access the lake. Also made a fantastic breakfast with coffee in the morning! Highly recommend!!

From the moment I arrived, I felt as though I had stepped into a fairy tale. The winding drive deep into the forest slowly peeled away the noise of the world, and when I reached the cabin—so gently nestled among the trees, overlooking the still, peaceful pond—I knew I had found somewhere truly special. I was greeted by a sweet little welcoming committee: a friendly male mallard duck and curious hummingbirds darting through the trees. It set the tone for what became one of the most peaceful, soul-nourishing stays I’ve ever had. The cabin itself was a dream—warm, quiet, filled with the soft glow of paraffin lamps and framed by views that I could have stared at for days. Sitting on the porch watching the ducks paddle across the pond, the squirrels rustle in the trees, and the hummingbirds flit from branch to branch was pure magic. There’s something about this place that’s hard to put into words—it left me feeling deeply regenerated, grounded, and more connected to the natural world than I’ve felt in a long time. It’s more than a place to stay—it’s a place to feel. Absolutely unforgettable.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unique and unforgettable stay! Staying in the levitating tent was such a cool and one-of-a-kind experience! Sleeping suspended between trees felt peaceful and surprisingly cozy — it was like being in a floating treehouse. The setup was super clean and well-maintained, and the hosts made everything really easy to understand. Woke up to birds chirping and a beautiful view — way better than a regular tent on the ground. If you’re looking for something different, adventurous, and close to nature, I highly recommend it!

Appreciated Neal welcoming us and getting us situated in a quiet spot on the property, and providing a power outlet for our truck camper -- also sewer was available if needed. We spent a quiet night on our journey, and Neal's location near Newberry is great if your on you're way to far-flung UP destinations, north, east, south and west!

Host was friendly and accommodating. Just needed a place to sleep for the noght. Neal let us park alongside his garage with 30amp. Easy to find. Planning to stay here again on our next trip through the UP.

Centrally located in the upper peninsula, i took a day trip to the upper and lower taquaminum falls. I also went to the soo locks the same day. Pictured rocks is a day trip, i made a couple of trips to escanaba to the island city resort casino. Had a very peaceful vacation and great accommodations. Very clean bathrooms and showers.

We had a great experience, it was super awesome to be basically off grid. I’ve never seen so many stars in my life! We put our tents on the beach and was a blast. Would definitely stay again. Only thing I recommend people renting is to make sure you stop way ahead for anything because the store/gas station up the street is ridiculously priced.

The campground is adorable and friendly. Lots of beauty all around. We tent camped on site 4. Road noise, truckers w/ jake brakes, woke us up multiple times. But overall, it’s a great place to visit. Restrooms were spotless with hot water and great water pressure.

It's situated on 21 acres of what was the original Wawonowin Country Club, a 9-hole golf course that was built in the early 1800s and then closed in the mid 1960s. And now we have a beautiful mix of hardwoods and pines, forests and fields with multiplied non-motorized trails accessible right off the property. The very popular RAMBA bike trails are literally an ‘stones throw’ away! Our biggest site, Fairway Field is big enough for group camping that horse campers love, and one site, the Homestead, with an electric hookup. We don’t have a dump station or trash cans so please pack in and pack out. Phone signal is good throughout the area and we are close to civilization for necessities and only 20 minutes from Marquette. So much stuff to do in this area!

Our property is located between Marquette and Negaunee, in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. We are 7 miles from downtown Marquette, 8 miles from the shores of beautiful Lake Superior and 53 miles from Pictured Rocks National Park. We are about 4 miles off of US 41 nestled in a quiet forest like setting. We built our home here in 2019 and are continually making improvements to the land. We tap our trees for maple syrup in the spring-you will drive by our "sugar shack" and raise chickens in our very nice coop -no roosters to awaken you! Come and enjoy some peace and quiet at our Northern Oasis! There is guest internet but its patchy in camping area-better closer to the house and large firepit area There is a charcoal grill near communal firepit area. We are near 2 river basins(McClure Basin and Dead River Basin) for fishing, swimming and boating ( kayaks and canoe for rent on this site-see extras! ) We are on the route of the Ore to Shore Mountain Bike epic and not far from the North Country Trail. We have options of open sites and a few more private wooded sites. There are at least two or three areas for campers and several choices for tents and/or hammocks. 3 of our sites have private firepits. There is a communal/central fire pit, picnic table area as well as a larger fire pit with picnic table closer to house. There is fire wood available on this site -see "extras" or for purchase when you get here! If you don't like spots available when you arrive please don't hesitate to contact us-we do have other options! There are yard games including "Corn Hole", extra chairs and a small table in the red shed. This can also be used as a storm shelter if needed! There is an outhouse and a "port-a-john" on site- extra TP is kept in red shed hanging on nail in a bag.

We were married in 2016 and have four children as part of our blended family. We are both originally from the Upper Peninsula. Superior Times Resort and Campground was the result of us wanting to do something “outside of the box” that would allow us to raise our family and show them there is more out there than the traditional path. We also wanted showcase our love and respect for the beauty of the Upper Peninsula; the area that many refer to as “God’s Country.” In December of 2016, we mistakenly pulled into the driveway of this property. At that time, it was known as Coleman’s Paradise Resort. There was a For Sale sign marking the property. We both knew at that point our fate was sealed to become this property’s new owners. We learned that this property had been a family vacation destination for nearly 100 years. We could only imagine the special memories that had been made here over the years! We wanted to become a part of that deep history. Through the many years of the resort’s history, the owners had changed and the cabins were showing true signs of their age. We knew there was A LOT of work that simply had to be done. On a wing and prayer, we somehow made this great resort ours. In April of 2017, we opened what we named Superior Times Resort and Campground. We pulled up or sleeves and went to work! Thank you for choosing us and allowing us to be part of the memories that you create here. We know that you work hard for your own money, as we do. There is little to no elevation gain on the trail. The path is on the shorter side, measuring in at 1.4 miles. The Dufour Creek Trail is generally well-kept, though there can be a few muddy sections when it rains. The path leads through a forest of hemlocks and cedars, fully wooded yet easy to follow. You may also get a glimpse of the native wildlife along the way. Swimming Perhaps the biggest feature of the entire park is the designated swimming beach. The beach remains very popular with guests, due in part to the clean, sandy shoreline as well as the vast, cordoned-off swimming area filled with shallower waters. There are restrooms and showers on site, which also have a reputation for being clean and well-kept. Fishing Indian Lake in Michigan features large swaths of underwater vegetation, making this area a great place for fishing. This is especially true if you are looking for panfish, as you can expect to see plenty of species like bluegill, crappie, and the like. However, there are plenty of other kinds of fish available, including Walleye, Perch, Brown trout, Rock bass, Smallmouth bass, and Northern pike. You’ll find plenty of opportunities to cast your line, whether on the shore or out on the water. Boating Getting out onto the lake can be a peaceful experience. You won’t feel cramped, even when sharing the lake with others as there is plenty of room for everyone. With clear water beneath you and great weather, boating at Indian Lake makes for a great pastime.The lake is fairly shallow, with 90% of the area being less than 15 ft deep. The deepest point is 18 ft. Owners of larger boats should keep this in mind when traversing the lake. If you are looking for water access for paddle sports such as kayaking, there is a carry-on access located at Indian Lake State Park at the Western Shore Unit. Local Eats: One of the best ways to immerse yourself in the culture of a new place is to dive into the local foodie scene and Manistique will not disappoint. Here are a few of the best restaurants, pubs, and local eats in downtown Manistique. - Clyde’s Drive-in - This local dive was straight out of the Movie Grease. Clyde’s has been a resident favorite for years. When you stop by, try some unique staples like the Bison Burger, a Big C Burger with Cheese, or a Pasty with gravy. - Dairy Kream - This local ice cream shop is the perfect pitstop during your vacation to the waterfront district. Located in Christmas, which is less than 5 miles west of Munising, the beginning of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. We have one campsite with an RV on it that we rent out and then we have a campsite right next to our camper than you can bring your own RV to. We have a hose for water and offer a 30A or 50A electric hook up for your camper at our campsite. Our camper can sleep up to 3 people and we are dog friendly for one dog up to 50lbs. Our camper is a one bedroom with a queen bed and then a twin futon in the living area for an additional guest.

Two are within two feet from the beach, while the remaining two are about 50’ from the beach but have full views of the lake. We have approximately 400’ of lake frontage.
