The location was very easy to find with the coordinates provided in the itinerary. A really beautiful spot with plenty of spaces to explore and as a bonus, the property backs up to the north country trail and there’s access to Lake Superior just across the street. My campmates and I really enjoyed our time here! An ideal rustic camping spot. Would camp here again

The site was confusing, not well maintained. There was equipment all over the place upon entering, vehicles, looked like a working sawmill. There were piles of wood/lumber everywhere. Paths were overgrown. It showed 3 or 4 campsites on the map, but I could only really see one, so I stayed there. It did not look like the pictures.

We enjoyed our stay on Tom's land. It is extremely private with camp sites spaced very far apart on 70 mostly untouched acres. We chose to camp in the furthest spot from the road, which was very peaceful and secluded. Would recommend for folks who want lots of privacy and enjoy rustic wilderness and nature as much as we did. Thank you, Tom!!

Beautiful land, secluded and quiet yet close to beach (1 mile to the left when leaving the property takes you to a scenic spot with beach access). Saw deer, a cute little skunk and enjoyed the birds. Easy drive to Marquette for a rainy day.

This was an excellent site for our ATV trip. The trail is right next to the site so no need to trailer to the trail head everyday. There was also a dune area very near the site thay was great to go ride around. The site was private and Tom was an excellent host.

great spot!! felt like the pacific northwest- ferns, moss and pine needles covering the ground. fairy forest vibes. super easy to drive my truck and trailer to the potential spots- very quiet and private!!! even if all camp spots were full- you’d have a lot of privacy. driving in and out- the chickens were hilarious. would reccomend to anyone!

Waste of time and money

Blueberry fields campground is not recommended. We arrived and the campsites are hardly taken care of. It was overgrown, and no designated place for a tent. Weeds everywhere, bugs/flies are terrible. I decided to find another campsite down the road, which was cheaper and an actual campsite. Do not spend money to camp here. I wasted my money and time. Extremely disappointing.

Enjoyed our time here!! Very rustic, so do not expect any amenities. As long as you are prepared for that it's a nice quiet place to stay. Bugs were minimal. Did not have time to explore the property but looking forward to that on our next visit. A close drive to Marquette and munising.

Blueberry slice of Heaven

We wanted to take a trip near lake superior and get close to the water and were very happy with this little slice of blueberry bush heaven! The host was around the grounds one of the days we went for a walk and is a lovely and hardworking human. We were blown away by the amendments and structures he's built and currently building! We'll be visiting again next year. There are lots of spots to choose from and fresh blueberries to pick in the summer! (July-Aug) This is a great spot if you're lowkey, and don't mind to truly camp and hang out in the scenery. Maybe not the spot for you if you're more of a "glamper" person. Tip: If you want to hike the amazing trail behind the camp sites and you're popular with bites: bring lots of bug spray - a mosquito WILL be a must for that hike. We wish we would have brought ours! (bugs around our tent site was fine once we got the fire going.)

Site 4 - Blueberry fields campground

Tom is a great host! Responsive and friendly. The property is “amenity free” in a good way! If you are looking to camp where you feel like you are truly outdoors in a beautiful forest with a fern floor this is the place! On a clear night the stars are bright. The sites have a nice bed of pine needle over soft sand and a fire pit. Tom’s campfire wood is the best deal around. There is easy access to great hiking and RV trails right from his property plus other activities which are a short drive away. The sites are spread out so you would never even know that anyone else was camping there. Cell signal with mint and Verizon was 1 to 2 bars if you NEED to access the outside world. We will definitely be back next year if not sooner. Highly recommend!

Best Campsite We’ve Ever Stayed At

Stay was amazing. We have a hard time finding places to bring the the camper that aren’t around other people so Tom’s land was the best possible scenario. We camped all the way back by the four wheeler trail, very little traffic and we had the whole place to ourselves! Lots of birds singing in the pines and lots of room for the dog to play. We were an easy drive to Pictured Rocks and Black Rocks and also ran down to Lake Michigan one day. Wish we would have been able to come when the blueberries were out, next time!

Wish all camping was like this. Each site is super secluded. The only people we saw were the hosts when they came by to pick up our bag of trash. Absolutely incredible location and stargazing. We even saw the northern lights from a roadside park about 2 minutes away. Close to Marquette and not too far from Pictured Rocks.

Super beautiful property. We spent the night under the stars, there are a ton of trees so each site has its own privacy. There were blueberries everywhere, but they weren’t quite ready so we left them alone. Can’t wait to go back!

Just as advertised. Private property with Rustic camp sites throughout the property. Very nice hike to lake in the back of the property. 15 min drive to Marquette 30 min drive to munising. Will visit again

Let me just say…Blueberry fields FOREVER. Twas a beautiful site with a groovy fire pit and soft, sandy dirt. Not to mention, the location is absolutely stellar and just a short ride to an amazing beach! Note: there is firewood available to buy upon entering the site and much wood available to collect around campsite. Pro tip: catch a SUPERIOR sunset on the shores and be moved by the waves rolling in. Pro tip x2: bring bug screen because the skeeters are big and hungry; they SUCK (literally ;)).

Such a nice, secluded camping spot! The hosts were very friendly, they welcomed us to the camp and gave us many ideas of things to do around Marquette. Bonus that its so close to Lake Superior. So excited to see what this campground becomes! We will definitely be back.

A perfect spot for our base camp! Tom was wonderful & checked in. Tom recommended we hike the North Country Trail which is right behind his property, & we are so glad we did, it's beautiful little hike to the lake. If you're into RUSTIC, no frills camping, you'll love it here - yes there are mosquitoes! We would definitely camp here again.

Excellent campground. Second time there since last summer. Far enough away to be “away but close enough to town if you need something. Also, being so close to the ORV trail is cool if you are into that. We plan on coming here every summer from now on. :)

Rustic camping close to Marquette!
