We loved the quiet and solitude here. Easy pull thru sites, and very close to Au Train and all it has to offer.

Erin's place had good hookups, and a nice fire pit. It was a great location for day trips around the area.
Bad place. Unkept. Bad WiFi not private at all. Constant traffic down private road.
Place is very unkept. It’s sold as being on Autrain but lake is not viewable or accessible. WiFi was unusable. Not worth the price.

Erin's campsites were fabulous! We loved the pull through and full hookups. The firepit got used a lot! It was close to both Munising and Marquette. We had a great time. Thanks Erin!

The site wasn’t bad, however there are some things of concern. There are cameras on site 3 which is disturbing. These cameras point directly to your travel trailer. Additionally, if you have a travel trailer on site 3, you are draining your gray and black tanks up hill. The sewer drain sits significantly higher than the travel trailer drain.

We enjoyed our stay. The grounds were clean and private. But we thought we would have lake access to paddleboard in and didn't. But it was close to lots of other places we could paddleboard.

We had a wonderful experience here and were pleasantly surprised by how close it was to Lake Superior (only about a 5 minute drive). The site offered full hookups for our camper, a beautiful fire pit with chairs, and the area was quiet and well maintained. The only thing we didn’t love was how close the 3 campsites were to each other, but we were fortunate to be the only ones staying for the weekend so this wasn’t an issue at all. The owner sent us detailed information via the hipcamp app about things to do in the area (such as visiting the STUNNING nearby Au Train beach) which made planning our days even easier!! Would definitely come again!

When we pulled up to the campground, it didn’t look like a campground at all. No owners or employees of the campground were there. The 3 sites we did see were so close together, we couldn’t even tell they were separate sites. It was so overgrown with tall grass around the campsite. Not even 2 minutes there, I had a tick on me. The ring cameras around our campsite were creepy. I know with summer the ticks and mosquitoes come out to play but there was no way we could have survived the weekend with the amount of mosquitoes there were. The pictures online were very deceiving. The campsite looked nothing like the pics did. The price for this campground was outrageous. We left after 10 minutes being there and went to the campground Nextdoor. We had a fabulous time there. The owners and the employees were amazing. The price was more than reasonable. The mosquitoes were definitely more tolerable and not one tick all three days on any of us. We will definitely be going back to that campground when we return.

First of all, it was hard to find. GPS took us to another Au Train campground on that same road. The camp host at that campground found where we were supposed to go. Drove right past the entrance. When we did pull in to the campground, I wanted to cry. The sites were taken over by weeds and tree branches. My husband and I have been camping for 50 years and stayed at many campgrounds all over the US, but never anything as unkept as Au Train. And the price we paid for our site was extremely high. We could've stayed at a KOA for half the price we were charged at Au Train. I give it 0 Stars for a rating.

Clean, quiet, private. Everything worked. We were there in the off season so no one else was camping and the campground next door was also quiet. From here did a pictured rocks boat tour, hiked sugarloaf mountain, little presque isle. If it was warmer, the au train river looked like a fun kayak.

I'm general, the site looked like the photos, however, there were some things that made this site uncomfortable enough that I didn't go back for my second night. My biggest concern was noticing a security camera aimed towards my camper that I could see while sitting on my couch - meaning I believe it could view me in my camper with the van door open. In order to be out of view of this camera, I wouldn't be able to use the hookups. They are some distance from the fire pit area, situated next to the cabin that is right on top of this site. No one was staying there at the time, but if they were, they would have been closer to my camper than a standard campsite. I saw no mention of cameras being used on this listing and felt extremely uncomfortable and wondered if there were others I wasn't seeing. Additionally, the site was overrun by wild turkeys. They were all around my camper all night and the next morning, making it stressful for my dog. Finally, please know this is a hard site to find. The street number sign is very hard to see and the tiny sign out front is for some cabins with a different name, so I thought I was at the wrong place.

Easy access to so many different areas to hike and explore. Very well maintained and wonderful property!
We stayed for nine days had a wonderful time exploring the whole area!
Plenty of room for a 40 foot fifth wheel.

The site was plenty large enough for our 43' diesel pusher and our tow vehicle. The site had Adirondack chairs, picnic table and a few yard games. It was wooded and secluded, there were a few other campers that you really didn't see

We really enjoyed staying on Erin’s land. Ease of in and out, full hook-ups, trees, wildlife, proximity to attractions all added to the appeal of the site. Only the outer two sites were occupied so it felt very spacious. The cool firepit and on-site games provided easy opportunities for relaxation between adventures. We’d absolutely stay here again.

We loved camping in our travel trailer on Erin’s land. it was almost like being alone in the woods, except with all the hook ups! It was close to everything we wanted to see and do for the weekend. I will be back
Our camp site was spacious, with full hookups in a quiet wooded setting. The WiFi surprisingly supported streaming … nice! It would have been ideal only if the weather would have cooperated. Maybe in at some point in the future we will try again.

We enjoyed our stay overall, but wanted to share a few things that could make the listing clearer for future guests. The name and satellite view made it seem like all the sites had direct lake access, but it turns out only the lodge does. We didn’t find that out until after booking, so a quick update in the description, something like “Lake access just ___ up the road”, would set expectations better.
The site itself was pleasant! There was a broken chair and some glass in the gravel (looked like from a car window), but there were extra chairs available and it didn’t cause any problems.
One small note: there are cameras pointed at the sites. It wasn’t a big deal for us, but it would be nice if that was mentioned in the listing so guests know ahead of time.

We enjoyed our stay with Au Train and would book with them again. The camp fire pits were large and the site was easily accessible. An easy drive to Munisng, hiking trails, and boat and canoe rentals, we had a fantastic week.

We had a great overnight at Site #1. "Check-in" was easy - we just pulled right in to our site and that was it! We had everything we needed: electricity, water, garbage, wifi (!), and a place to pump out the RV before we left. Site #1 is great, with a neighbor only on one side and a somewhat wooded area on the other. There is a larger campground on the other side of a wood fence, but even on a holiday weekend it wasn't too noisy. Our host Erin sent great communication with recommendations for things to do and an exact pinned location to put in our map - which came in really helpful, since Apple Maps thought the address listed was on the other side of the lake! The only trouble we had was getting the RV leveled on the soft gravel, but that could have also been our own inexperience. A more seasoned RV traveller may have been set up in no time at all.

We had a great time at this site!! It was perfect for a last minute trip!! It was close to everything we wanted to do! Hiking, a trip to pictured rocks and the beach on Lake Superior! Au Train was close with a general store, gas station and a great place to grab pizza, ice cream or a pastie!! We would definitely stay again!

I loved having a large pull-through campsite with full hookups and relative privacy - only two other sites on the property, which were a distance from the cabins. There is a larger campground just past the fence, but the fence provided privacy. It was quiet most nights, with just one night where the campground next door had people talking quite late. The sites are level, had really good water quality, full hookups, are clean, and included plastic Adirondack chairs and large fire pits with cooking grates which was a nice touch! There also were some outdoor games available for the kids, including cornhole, lawn darts and croquet. We especially enjoyed the proximity to the beaches and kayak rentals in Au Train, and it was only a 20 minute drive to Munising. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again!!
