Hello, and welcome to Superior Times Resort and Campground! We would like to take a moment and introduce ourselves. Our names are Tom and Heather Holmstrom. We were married in 2016 and have four children as part of our blended family. We are both originally from the Upper Peninsula. Superior Times Resort and Campground was the result of us wanting to do something “outside of the box” that would allow us to raise our family and show them there is more out there than the traditional path. We also wanted showcase our love and respect for the beauty of the Upper Peninsula; the area that many refer to as “God’s Country.” In December of 2016, we mistakenly pulled into the driveway of this property. At that time, it was known as Coleman’s Paradise Resort. There was a For Sale sign marking the property. We both knew at that point our fate was sealed to become this property’s new owners. We learned that this property had been a family vacation destination for nearly 100 years. We could only imagine the special memories that had been made here over the years! We wanted to become a part of that deep history. Through the many years of the resort’s history, the owners had changed and the cabins were showing true signs of their age. We knew there was A LOT of work that simply had to be done. On a wing and prayer, we somehow made this great resort ours. In April of 2017, we opened what we named Superior Times Resort and Campground. We pulled up or sleeves and went to work! Thank you for choosing us and allowing us to be part of the memories that you create here. We know that you work hard for your own money, as we do. We are 7 miles from downtown Marquette, 8 miles from the shores of beautiful Lake Superior and 53 miles from Pictured Rocks National Park. We are about 4 miles off of US 41 nestled in a quiet forest like setting. We built our home here in 2019 and are continually making improvements to the land. We tap our trees for maple syrup in the spring-you will drive by our "sugar shack" and raise chickens in our very nice coop -no roosters to awaken you! Come and enjoy some peace and quiet at our Northern Oasis! There is guest internet but its patchy in camping area-better closer to the house and large firepit area There is a charcoal grill near communal firepit area. We are near 2 river basins(McClure Basin and Dead River Basin) for fishing, swimming and boating ( kayaks and canoe for rent on this site-see extras! ) We are on the route of the Ore to Shore Mountain Bike epic and not far from the North Country Trail. We have options of open sites and a couple more private wooded sites. There are at least two areas for small campers and several choices for tents and/or hammocks.. There is a communal/central fire pit, picnic table area as well as a larger fire pit with picnic table closer to house. We have nice fire wood available on site -see "extras" or for purchase when you get here! There are yard games, extra chairs and a small table in the red shed. This can also be used as a storm shelter if needed! There is a "port-a-john" on site- extra TP is kept in red shed hanging on nail in a bag. Please let us know if this needs attention.

Llama Meadows Farm is a sixteen acre organic fruit and vegetable farm. We're a family peace farm. We have quiet time from 11 pm until 7 am. We have several games- bocce ball, badminton, frisbee, and a soccer ball. The Hipcamp driveway is just south of our house, with a white Hipcamp sign directing you down the hill. Go slow through the trees and follow the road to the left, passing the Welcome Station, to access the sites We don't mind a social drink or two, but we do not tolerate loud and drunken behavior. We ask all of our Campers to respect our sacred land and each other. We have a beautiful bonfire patio with about 15 chairs. We also have a sink in our Welcome Station. For drinking or brushing teeth. Dishes are still washed in the dishwashing station. We have an instant hot water station as well as a charging station to charge your phones. We have our pup Jazzy Bear on the site, who's the Hostess with the Mostest. When the campsite is full, we do a group bonfire where everyone is invited to get to know each other. We also have an artsy outhouse. Located in Beautiful Benzie Country, in Northwestern Lower Michigan. We are one mile south of Crystal Lake and six miles east of Lake Michigan. Our-house is super insulated and passive solar. We had llamas for their wool and manure. We retired from raising llamas, we had 12 they got old and moved on. We have around 50 fruit trees. The fruit we grow includes apples, pears, figs and paw paws. We also grow grapes, and kiwis, we also put in filberts, walnuts and pecans. We have a beautiful labyrinth peace garden. 2Chicks And A Farm is a small working farm on 20 acres, owned and run by Julie & Theresa Graham. We are 13 minutes from South Haven and Lake Michigan, 30 minutes from the city of Kalamazoo and just under an hour from Grand Rapids. Those of you who have visited in the past will notice that we significantly downsized this year. Due to Township and State regulations, we are now limited to offering only four campsites unless we get licensed, which at this time is cost prohibitive. So, we have selected the four most highly rated sites and upgraded them, to truly make your experience here special. About half of the 20 acres is wooded, with walking trails around the property, to include our fish stocked pond and a little tributary of the Black River. All sites have a fire ring, or metal fire pit, and picnic table. We have an outdoor propane shower that provides both hot and cold water. A free refreshment bar is available 24/7. Feeling a little peckish before breakfast, or after dinner? Help yourself to a snack and a hot or cold drink. You are welcome to collect eggs for breakfast and fresh produce from our gardens (for a fee). We are a working farm and registered as two Non-Profits. One an animal rescue, primarily working with cats. At any given day we have 20-30 cats roaming around the farm. All are under the care of our vet, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and treated for fleas and ticks. All important because they will want to interact with you. Some will want to sleep with you. Our 100 plus flock of poultry, comprised of chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys, free range during the day, so leave the Prada's at home. If you are staying at Sam's Place, your closest neighbors will Penelope and Petunia, our two female sister pigs. The prevailing winds are down from your site, but you may hear them squabble. Our herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats will love your attention and treats we can provide. Arriving in March is Jack, a miniature donkey...we are very excited! Please try to check-in by 8pm. Exceptions can be made. There are locally mandated quiet hours (10-7 Sun through Thur, and 11-7 Fri and Sat). Hanging out by a fire and chatting is fine.

This summer, guests can join daily social events designed to bring back the fun, connection, and nostalgia of summer camp as kid. Think nature walk scavenger hunts, beach volleyball, canoe trips, paint and sip nights, sunset sails, bonfire cookouts, and much more. AMENITIES **We have brand new, indoor showers available for our pod-bed guests and outdoor showers available for our camping guests starting Memorial Day Weekend. If camping prior to our outdoor showers opening, guests will be given access to our indoor showers** Inside our buildings, guests can enjoy a full kitchen with cookware and dishes, personal pantry and fridge storage, and common areas with a TV, gaming consoles, lounge seating, outlets, a pool table, board games, and ping pong. Guests can also use our free shelf, book exchange, instruments, and art supplies. We also have business grade fiber-optic Wi-Fi guests can use throughout our property. Outside, guests are welcome to use our grills, picnic tables, hammocks, games, and communal firepit, or explore our wooded walking trails. Our outdoor areas are pet friendly. Hosting May 22 - mid/Oct My husband Dan and I purchased this property 6 years ago and have totally restored the land, home and barn from its prior condition. Consequently, if you view the various on line satellite images be advised they are out of date and do not reflect the love we have put into our sanctuary. We are retired and live here with our two standard poodles Mila and Indiana. The property is 5 acres, mostly meadow with a maple grove as well as a wooded ravine. We have planted various fruit trees, cherries, apples, peach as well as pears. We also have a small grape and berry patch which is next to our vintage trailer. There is also an old abandoned trail through the forest that makes for a nice walk. Our location is convenient to Traverse City, Alden, Belaire, Kalkaska as well as the equestrian center and the casino in Williamsburg. There are various places to eat/drink within close proximity as well as places to purchase fuel, groceries and liquor. Old Mission and Leelanau peninsulas are a convenient drive where you can visit the many vineyards, orchards, shops and enjoy the beautiful vistas of the lake and bays, or shop some of the unique stores and galleries. There are many off road vehicle and bike trails that are not far away as well. As well as boating on beautiful Torch Lake and the chain of lakes. A day trip to Sleeping Bear dunes is well worth the drive. We would be happy to make suggestions on activities, dining, entertainment during your stay. We currently have three sites which are on seperate areas of the property. Lake View site is a Vintage 1985 Avion travel trailer which as been completely renovated with all new systems. It is located with a western view of Lake Skegemog and next to our grape and berry patch in our back yard. Maple Grove site is a new Coachmen Catalina Destination series RV. It is located on the front side of the property next to the maple tree grove. Lavender Lane is located in front of our barn with a view of our small orchard and the forest, close to the walking trail. All our sites are fully outfitted with quality linens, towels, dishes and cooking equipment. All of the units have Air Conditioned and heat. New this year is our chicken coop and run. We (Bill) has always wanted chickens.

We chose Footsteps From Frankenmuth as our first RV experience after buying a 35’ travel trailer. Even though we booked last minute, Rob was right there to help us into our site. He’s an amazing camp host with a wonderful family. We brought our cat for her first camping trip as well. We all had an exceptional time. There’s plenty of space to roam and explore and the sites are very spacious. The roads to the property are well maintained and it was nice and quiet in Bridgeport. We ended up extending our stay a few more days. Thanks guys, for a very successful first camping trip.

Just spent three nights camping at Llama Meadows Farm and cannot recommend it enough. The land is incredibly beautiful, peaceful, and meticulously clean. The host is absolutely amazing and has created a truly special organic sanctuary (the labyrinth peace garden and fruit trees are stunning). If you want a serene, clean, and welcoming getaway in Benzie County, this is it. I will absolutely be back!

We had a great time in the Avion at HillCrest! The location is perfect, close to lots of things to do but far away to feel secluded. The Avion itself was stocked with essentials and was the perfect cozy spot to hang out ant the end of the day. Dan and Bill were very welcoming hosts and have put a lot of time and love into their beautiful property. We look forward to planning an another trip!

We had such a lovely time at the farm. Betty was immediately there to help us and show us around. Our spot was perfect - the lush green grass was an added bonus! This property has an awesome outdoor shower and a very clean outdoor bathroom. We had enough room to spread out and put our badminton net up. We hope to get back here next time we are in Michigan! This property is close to a grocery store, mini golf + delicious ice cream, Lake Michigan, and Crystal Lake is a MUST! We can’t say enough good things about Betty’s hospitality and her property. ♥️
