Francesco is a great host and super responsive. The campsite we were at wasn’t really a private campsite as it sits directly on the path to later ones, but it’s still quite far from the others so not a big deal. My only suggestion would be add a picnic table to the site

Easily the best camping trip we’ve ever had. The hilltop campsite view looking out toward Lake Michigan was incredible. It was the perfect place to watch the sunset every evening. The private beach access was unbeatable. The water was the perfect temperature and super clean. We swam constantly. There was a huge pile of free firewood already at the site, more than enough for our entire stay. The fire pit setup was one of the best we’ve seen, with benches around it. Great for cooking meals and roasting marshmallows. We saw over 50 deer and over 50 turkeys in just three days. Our kids caught bugs, our dogs roamed free, and we spent hours walking along the shoreline. Even the neighbors down the beach were friendly and said hello. This campsite is best for people who are in decent shape and pack light, since it’s a bit of a climb from the parking area to the site and again down to the beach. The payoff is absolutely worth it. Drew, the host, is a great guy and really made the experience smooth. For the price, this place is a steal. One of a kind. We’ll definitely be coming back.

We loved our stay at Flipside. Bob and Vicki make camping easy and relaxing. They have wagons for making gear transport easy and the sites are serene. They’re very knowledgeable regarding the area and give great recommendations for any kind of excursion.

Weekend Trip to Riverside Retreat at New Richmond

The cabin at Riverside was absolutely adorable! All the ambience of a true fishing cabin from long ago. Julie and Bill were fantastic hosts. The communication was spectacular and they responded to us immediately when a little hiccup occurred. The cabin is situated right on the river and there are boats and kayakers waving as they pass. There is a train directly across the street hidden by some trees, so you will hear the train noises, but that didn’t bother us any. It’s not a secluded site, but you still have privacy. You really only need to bring your clothes because everything else has been provided for you. Fennville is a cute little town with a surprisingly well appointed grocery store and some great dining spots. It’s a short distance to Saugatuck, Holland, and a little farther to South Haven. We had a great day and would love to come back again to do some kayaking! Thank you, Bill and Julie!

I had a great time staying in the Grand Cabin! Ed was super helpful giving us a tour on arrival and had great local recommendations. The cabin was in a great location to go spend a day at one of the nearby state park beaches. We loved coming home to hammock and have a campfire!

Beautiful view, every time of day or night. Very welcoming, kind neighbors. Quiet neighborhood. The walking trails are very steep, with silky sand underneath. Walking down isn't bad, but going up is very difficult. For the campsite and the beach. Still worth it to me. The only let down, was that it is not very private. People boat in and anchor down and walk to the beach, some park at DH park and walk down and set up on the beach. Before lunch and after sunset it is very private. But in between, it was a steady flow of others, and they enjoyed staring up at out tent area, in interest. With the visitors and unattended teens, sound travels on water, so it isn't as peaceful as we thought, during those times. Everything you need is a short drive away. The view is amazing, the beach is great, and definitely better than a public access beach. Still worth it. Just wasn't expecting it.

3 nights at Sunflower Farms

I stayed a few nights at the Deer Grove site and it was amazing! Very private and had just enough shade. Location is perfect being just a few minute drive into town. This was my first experience using Hipcamp, and I am so glad I found it. Frank and his wife were so kind and accommodating. I hope to stay here again.

We had a great time camping here, the portapotty was clean, minimal mosquitoes, and a bundle of firewood was provided. The food truck was great too!

This campground is perfect for a getaway. Mike is amazing and helped us put our kayaks in the river so we could have a nice float back down to the campsite. There are showers and working toilets. We will be back!

Absolutely amazing spot to camp. It was fun to wake up and explore some of the farm land with the horses, cows, chickens, and sheep. I also found so many cool species of mushrooms around the area. Bugs werent a huge problem either. The bathroom near the tree house is very well kept and not too far of a walk from the spot. The treehouse has everything you need to cook, a bed if the hammocks aren't your thing (they are also super comfy) and on the second floor you can cover the entrance to feel safer :) when we got there, Luke was super sweet and told us how to get to the site with a map of the land(very helpful) and even offered food and water if we needed. Would definitely camp here again if im in the area!

Beautiful sites, wonderful hosts, great location… the bugs weren’t even bad! Will definitely be back

Hostel SoHa is two 5,000 square foot buildings on 7 acres of private land in the process of being renovated into the first traveler's hostel in West Michigan. This summer, we are proud to announce we will be opening our first building with indoor pod-bed accommodations on May 15th. Not to worry, campers. There is still plenty of space for pitching tents, car camping, and even more amenities included with your stay. [Apirl 18th Update] Because we are still in the process of opening up a communal kitchen, a larger common area, an improved outdoor fire pit area, showers, and more there may be construction going on during your stay. This likely won’t be a disruption to your stay but we thought we’d give you the heads up. Also note, pictures on Hipcamp may not accurately reflect the space as we make these changes. We are located directly off M-43 and only a 5 minute drive to the beach; downtown South Haven; and Walmart, Aldi, and Meijer. We are also a 5 minute drive from the Kal-Haven trailhead and can help hikers and bike-packers arrange a pick up or drop off from there. The Bangor Train Station is a 12 minute drive and we can also help arrange pick up and drop off from there. This fun and central location is best suited for adults ages 18-35, but we welcome any adult looking for a more social and unique experience. This is a adult/traveler friendly environment and is not recommended for families or individuals looking for a private getaway. One Grand Place - Riverside Retreat

Welcome to our little slice of heaven along the Grand River in Grand Haven, Michigan. Voted one of the best places to visit in 2022 and 2023. This property is at the end of a private road and has three adjoining waterfront parcels that have been in the family for decades that we fondly refer to as One Grand Place. Family still lives on one of the parcels but we are excited to be sharing the other 2 parcels with all of you. One parcel is our Premium RV site on a cement pad, parallel to the river and can accommodate 1 RV (5th wheel, travel trailer, pop up, Class C etc. NO Class A's allowed). 30/50/standard 110 Electric and water hookup. Pump out is available for a fee. The other adjacent parcel at the very far west end of the property is a large grassy area with 2 sites. Both have 30 and standard 110 electric, plus water. --1 Standard RV site can accommodate 1 RV (5th wheel, travel trailer, pop up, Class C etc. NO Class A's allowed). Or, can be used as a tent site IF the tent only site is already booked. Pump out is available for a fee. --1 Tent only site. To be booked first before the Standard RV site. However, both sites are next to each other with same view. There is plenty of room to set up games, fish, play with the kids or the dogs, etc. What's not to like? It is your very own exclusive home away from home. If you don't have an RV or a tent and want to still come and visit, no problem. Rent one of our RVs or rent our tent. PLEASE NOTE: We are not a commercial campground or a business. However, there are certain rules that must be adhered to per the agreement with our local township and our neighbors along our shared private road. Property is adjacent to Connor Bayou County Park and is surrounded by natural wetlands. Perfect place to unwind, chill, enjoy the fresh air and picture perfect sunsets. Boating, swimming, jet skis, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing are just a few of the things to enjoy on the water. Bring your own boat, jet ski, kayak or rent from nearby establishments. One of many public boat launches is just a couple minute ride and Connor Bayou County Park has a kayak specific boat launch. You can also drop a kayak in at the very west end of our property right from shore. If you are bringing your own boat, jet ski, kayak and have a separate trailer, parking of that trailer must be pre-authorized due to limited space. Please inquire. Hiking, biking and wildlife, bird/eagle watching are also in the area. Spring Lake, Lake Michigan, beaches, various state/county parks, downtown Grand Haven's shops and restaurants are just a short drive away. Holland is about 30 minutes south and also has a cute downtown, craft beers, and beaches. PJ Hoffmaster State Park is 20 minutes North. If you are a thrill seeker Michigan's Adventure Amusement and Waterpark is only 30 minutes North in Muskegon. There are also many wineries, ciders and craft beer in Southwest Michigan. And many blueberry farms around too. Bottom line....there is plenty of things to do and see during your visit. You can be as active or as chill as you want to be.

There are also 2 barn cats, that might visit your camp site if you are traveling without dogs. we also host group of 24 Bee Hives. On the farm we grow a variety of veggies, flowers and Medicinals. We have plots of native woodland medicinals and a variety of other Perennials and Medicinals including Hemp and Cannabis on a very small scale. Everything is grown organically. Sorry, No children under 10 We are also close to the Red Flannel Gun club, quite a bit of the time we hear guns. We are also very close to the Cedar Chase Golf Course if you like golf.
