Water was great. Nice to have a bathroom. Great area. Private enough to feel secluded and close enough to places to get coffee if you forgot yours.

Nice little area for tent camping kinda close to the highway so you can hear the traffic noise but still a nice place had a very nice time

This was an incredible experience and I could not recommend a stay here enough. The land is beautiful and the camping spots were nicely spaced apart and private feeling. Jeff was incredibly kind while still giving us our space - let us know the spot we picked was prone to flooding (saving our trip when it rained) and provided firewood and delicious fresh eggs when we bought the extras. Will definitely want to come back with more people to enjoy this spot! Thank you again!!

I had a great time solo camping on Beth & Jeff's land!
10/10 would recommend, I felt safe the entire time & like I had the whole place to myself, I didn't actually meet Beth or Jeff but they were communicative, sent me a map of the sites & let me know to bring bug spray for the skooters, Also there's an older negative review that claims the owner has cameras up, that's not true, those are solar powered motion lights so you don't twist an ankle walking to the garbage can. Don't be fooled by the central location, yes it's close & convenient to a bunch of cool stuff to do BUT it really does offer that "out in the woods away from civilization" vibe campers look for, it doesn't feel (or sound) like you're just 5 minutes away from the city. The bird watching was also amazing and I woke up to see a few ground squirrels playing a game of tag, so cute.
The cons, which are totally normal nature things & not real cons at all, the first site right past the water pump has a ton of brambles around the edges & a little resident copperhead, out of the way but something to keep in mind if you're bringing any little humans, maybe skip that one & move to the next spot over, the other sites I walked to didn't seem to have quite as many brambles though. Bring your bug spray, the mosquitoes are out - my hosts forwarded me though so I had my spray and my mosquito net for my hammock ready.

You will not receive a welcome or any greeting at all , there are cameras hidden on the property as well as being said , Jeff is rude and Beth is the best .

Great spot if you like to both camp and check out local cities/attractions, responsive and helpful hosts yet gave total privacy, and clean. But that damn rooster across the field....

Super easy camping, just buy a space online and once you get there you just pick an open spot. We camped there the night before going to Michigans Adventure. Didn't have to deal with anyone and the spots were nice and secluded. Campfire ring and a table at the site and a water spicket was just a minute walk away.

We liked it so much, we came back again!
Close proximity to state parks and beaches, not far from Muskegon and not a bad drive to Whitehall/Montague. Large private lots. First visit was with my family, plenty of room of tents and hang out space. Second was truck camping, so even more room.
Do be warned of the nearby racetrack. Usually a race every Saturday, so expect noise from ~6p-11p.
Well maintained two tracks, port a John and water area.
This will be one saved to continue to return too

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Jeff, and Beth's land! The campsite was easy to find, clean, and private, with plenty of fallen trees on the property to make a fire every night. Jeff and Beth were also very generous in giving out recommendations/things to do in the area.

privacy and the sites are spread apart unlike traditional campgrounds that cater more to the RV life. we had a great family experience with the meadow, the moon, the foggy morning and no raccoons lol

Used the site as a base for the beach, Muskegon, and Flip City. Was a good site and tucked away.

The tent site was fairly private and close to the water and toilet. Easy instructions and map locations were provided and very helpful! We were in town to visit some friends so we did not spend much time here, but its proximity to North Muskegon and the State Park made the location really great!

I loved tent camping on Jeff and Bethâs property! It was quaint, quiet, and open, we enjoyed quality time and proximity to nearby attractions. We spent a day at Michiganâs adventure, but also spent some time at the lake at Duck Lake State Park. We also enjoyed walking around the property, finding areas to hike, and finding some local ice cream! I would recommend this property to anyone looking to get out, but still be close enough to explore the local places!

We really enjoyed our stay. The sites are big which was really nice and it was very close to Michigan Adventures. I would recommend a small sign or something just because it looks like it would be a service road for the power lines. Only complaint I have it the trash was overflowing and the portapotty had no TP. We would definitely stay again

"High Ground" Tent @ Oak Meadows
Tent camping at Oak Meadows was great! The welcome gift was very nice. The spaces were quite large, especially the one we chose. There were other campers at sites nearby but there was good privacy. Our site had room for a screen tent, two four-person tents, a car camper, and another car, and still had room for the fire ring, which was already at the site. There was plenty of wood around to use in a fire which was nice. Bathroom is a porta-potty, but was clean and there was toilet paper. There is some road noise from the highway and thereâs a local raceway down the road that runs on Saturdays during the summer. Overall a great stay!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Jeff & Beth's place for 2 nights at the end of August. We specifically chose their spot due to the extremely close proximity to Michigan's Adventure. We enjoyed the seclusion, all the down firewood (we didn't buy ANY)!, and the peacefulness of place. They provide fresh drinking water (from the house), which was nice to have as well. Each camping spot was large and far from others. We will certainly be back the next time we got to Michigan's Adventure and will certainly recommend it to family in the future! Thanks so much you guys!
