Site #5 - 30amp Water/Electric

The camp set up was perfect for access to ride to the dragon trail- adding a map in workshop would be a benefit, if we had not talked to our camping neighbor it may have been a mystery. We loved the idea that we did not have to use a campsite that was wall-to-wall campers on the supersized campsites that circle the hardy river, this catered to like minded bikers/adventurers. The outdoor shower set up seemed a little rustic when we saw it on the reviews but like everyone commented it was excellent - the beer garden, again, awesome concept and well executed - We were already planning to be back next season on the drive home.

My family loved camping here, despite a very rainy weekend! Our campsite was cool being under the trees and a perfect distance between the communal fire/hangout area and the cabin where our friends were staying. Our girls rode their bikes around all weekend, and it was easy to get to the mountain bike trail for us adults. Gorgeous trail along the reservoir! The communal area was amazing, comfortable, and very accommodating! Mark and his wife were very pleasant and got us anything we needed. Will definitely be going back!

Labor Day Getaway

Camping and riding the Dragon.

Second time we stayed. The setup is perfect for bicyclists. Fantastic outdoor shower, multple private and community fire rings, 30amp and water. (No dump station) But there is an outhouse. Very peaceful and wonderful owner. We’ll be back! Less than a mile from the Dragon.

Great location to launch for a Dragon ride. Stayed in rustic which was a bit of a walk to the main area. Would stay in the electric sites next time.

We had a great experience camping here! The spaces are large and very nice. There is a great little area for chatting with other campers around a large firepit, with a grill, some games, and lovely hanging lights. The shower has very hot water, which is great after a long, tiring, day. Everyone we met was very friendly and welcoming, and we'd definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Star Watching

We had a great time tent camping at this place. Lots of privacy, while still being able to see others nearby. Stunning star watching both nights and loved the community area where the shower was and more fire pits with chairs. Lots and lots of trails for hiking and plenty of biking routes. Highly recommend giving this a try.

California in Michigan!

The campground was just great. It brought back so many nostalgic memories of areas in California. Loved the bike hanging on the building, the community campfire and kitchen. Mark was wonderful in pointing me to points on the Dragon Trail that I hiked. I am definitely planning to return, and maybe even venturing to ride my bike on an easy part of the trail.

We only stayed one night but loved the rustic camping. Sites were large, clean, and equipped with a fire pit and picnic table. Port-a-potties were also very clean. We also loved the hot outdoor shower. Mark was very helpful and quickly responded to my questions.

Loved camping here. Friendly, flexible hosts, hot shower, quick access via bike to the Dragon Trail, and I relaxed in the evening in the cozy communal patio/bonfire space. We could hear partying on the water (I think) Fri/Sat evening from the rustic camping area just a heads up. Didn’t bother us.

Mark was a great host and his camp was comfortable and full of character. All the little outbuildings and beer garden were so cool. Mark is personable, informative, and accommodating. He was available to make us comfortable without hovering. The mountain biking was fantastic on the Dragon Trail, and we can’t imagine staying somewhere else to ride. We will be back.

We had an excellent time at Dragon Adventures Base Camp. Very quiete, wood available for fires. The setting is wonderful and would be great for large gatherings too! Close to the Dragon trial which has 45 miles of amazing views and great for walking and biking. Close to beaches. Definitely would recommend

The grounds are beautiful and the area for camping is set up very well. The cabin is gorgeous (both sides) though the covered back porch really saved our trip when the rains came. This is definitely on the list to stay again & bring more friends!

We had a great time camping at Dragon Adventures. The rustic camp area was well laid out with new picnic tables and fire rings. The porta potty was the cleanest I have ever been in & the outdoor shower actually had HOT water. I had fairly low expectations for the shower but the directions to get hot water were super simple... made for a great end to a very sweaty day of biking. Also, it was super nice to have firewood (super easy to pay for with venmo or cash) walking distance to where we chose to set up camp.
