Our farm produces pastured, all natural meat, including pork, beef, goat and fresh eggs/seasonal veggies. See the hens roaming, cows and goats grazing in the fenced-in pasture. A variety of cuts of meat from our freezers are available for sale or get a tour of the farm ~ Just ask! You may simply enjoy the scene at your leisure.
SITE DETAILS: Each camp site has woodchips, gravel surrounding a bonfire ring, a clothesline and neatly stacked firewood for sale. Our sites accomodate 2 adults and their minors. We recommend that larger groups or multiple adults book more than one site next to each other (sites 1 and 2 or 2 and 3 are good for this). Quiet hours are enforced between 10pm-7am. This is our home and farm, not a campground, please think of staying here that way.
A water pump (for delicious drinking water straight from our well) and outdoor solar shower are located at camp.
Our land borders the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. You'll be
just a few miles from access to beautiful Lake Michigan beaches. Relax in the sand, hunt for rocks, hike a trail, kayak or paddle-board and watch an epic sunset.
School Lake, known for its fishing from non-motorized boats or a quiet place to paddle. 2 Miles away, access the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail, a non-motorized 27 mile groomed trail that follows the scenic M-22 from our location all the way to Empire, MI.
2.8 miles from our camp, you'll find a Mountain Bikers paradise at Palmer Woods Forest Preserve, with various hiking trails and a 6 mile mountain bike trail.

I have two sites available that will accommodate both travel trailers, as well as tents. Both have 30amp RV and 120v outlets, as well as lights for late arrival setup. In the welcome Hut, you will find dry firewood for purchase, as well as a refrigerator and freezer for use by our guests. Each site has its own labeled shelf to keep your perishables fresh. Also available for purchase are organic farm fresh eggs, cold soda, and bottled water, as well as bags of ice in the freezer. At Grateful Acres we aim to make your stay with us, as enjoyable as possible.
The two sites sit on 3 beautiful, quiet acres in Northern Michigan. Site #1 is flat, open, and spacious, while site #2 is a bit more enclosed and private tucked into the trees. Both sites come furnished with a picnic table, a fire ring with attached grill for cooking and 2 adirondack chairs. The Star gazing at night is absolutley Amazing!!

Remote private tract in northern Michigan with Portage Creek to camp at, right up close. No neighbors, no other campers! 10 miles from Grayling so you can run into town for needed supplies with little time or effort. Bring your kayaks and swimsuit for a quick splash. The creek is mostly shallow with some deeper spots. There are downed trees so the kids can kayak without going too far away but they can go out of line of sight and hearing, so please be watchful.
The last ½ mile road in can be very sandy in spots or sometimes flooded so you are encouraged to call or enquire prior to arrival, 4WD recommended for towing an RV. We recommend your first arrival during daylight hours so you can see the entrance of the property. The non-maintained county road, the last ½ mile in is typically not passable during winter and snow seasons except by snowshoe or snowmobile due to the snow level.
Never leave children or pets unattended! Be aware of the chance encounter with an endangered massasauga rattler, it may be endangered but it is still poisonous and they have been seen on and around the property before. Ticks are on the rise, and the springtime can be very buggy, and mosquito-y with the surrounding swampy areas. There are bear, coyote, and an assortment of other creatures big and small. This is a wilderness area and so please be aware of wild animals.
Never leave your small contained fire unattended at the firepit and watch for sparks, completely douse the fire before you leave as this is a fire-prone area. No fires outside the firepit for safety reasons and fire hazards. If you want firewood here in Grayling, there are a few places that sell it. There is down debris in our woods but as the summer goes by, it may be picked through.
You can pull and circle through the open area with your RV, or you can tuck into the RV / camping spot. There is enough room for 5 or 6 cars but campers may crowd that a bit. If you are tent camping, you are welcome to set up elsewhere on the property. There are trails throughout the property and you may see the ‘No Trespassing’ signs all along the perimeter of the 23.7 acres. The toilet is now working again, but we ask that you not overtaxed it ;p . The small cabin is fairly stocked with pots and pans, good for campfire cooking. Picnic table and fire pit with cooking grate on site for your use.
There are tons of nearby outdoor recreational opportunities and water bodies very close by, or you can spend your time on this private tract. The military board land and small arms range is just past the road to the west, you may hear small arms practice at times, the sound of freedom.

Hosting May 22 - mid/Oct My husband Dan and I purchased this property 6 years ago and have totally restored the land, home and barn from its prior condition. Consequently, if you view the various on line satellite images be advised they are out of date and do not reflect the love we have put into our sanctuary. We are retired and live here with our two standard poodles Mila and Indiana.
The property is 5 acres, mostly meadow with a maple grove as well as a wooded ravine. We have planted various fruit trees, cherries, apples, peach as well as pears. We also have a small grape and berry patch which is next to our vintage trailer. There is also an old abandoned trail through the forest that makes for a nice walk.
Our location is convenient to Traverse City, Alden, Belaire, Kalkaska as well as the equestrian center and the casino in Williamsburg. There are various places to eat/drink within close proximity as well as places to purchase fuel, groceries and liquor.
Old Mission and Leelanau peninsulas are a convenient drive where you can visit the many vineyards, orchards, shops and enjoy the beautiful vistas of the lake and bays, or shop some of the unique stores and galleries.
There are many off road vehicle and bike trails that are not far away as well. As well as boating on beautiful Torch Lake and the chain of lakes.
A day trip to Sleeping Bear dunes is well worth the drive.
We would be happy to make suggestions on activities, dining, entertainment during your stay.
We currently have three sites which are on seperate areas of the property. Lake View site is a Vintage 1985 Avion travel trailer which as been completely renovated with all new systems. It is located with a western view of Lake Skegemog and next to our grape and berry patch in our back yard. Maple Grove site is a new Coachmen Catalina Destination series RV. It is located on the front side of the property next to the maple tree grove. Lavender Lane is located in front of our barn with a view of our small orchard and the forest, close to the walking trail. All our sites are fully outfitted with quality linens, towels, dishes and cooking equipment. All of the units have Air Conditioned and heat.
New this year is our chicken coop and run. We (Bill) has always wanted chickens.

We have a small chicken farm that we’d love to share with you — whether you’re passing through for a night or staying a few days to enjoy the local attractions. Sleeping Bear Dunes, Empire Bluffs, Traverse City, Glen Arbor, Lake Ann, and much more are all within a 10–30 minute drive, depending on where you’d like to go.
There are no water, electric, or sewer hookups, but potable water is available from the outdoor house spigot. A porta potty is provided on-site for your use and is equipped with hand sanitizer.
You’ll find several roadside stands nearby selling baked goods, local produce, meat, cheese, flowers, and more. A small store about 2 miles away carries basic necessities.
There are exterior cameras on property to monitor home and chicken coops.
There is a dog on property that loves attention and thinks everyone that visits is just coming to see him! Please don't feed him any human or doggie snacks!
There are many beautiful lakes and trails in the area for kayaking, boating, fishing, and swimming.

Escape to your own 7.4 acre private retreat. This dog friendly, off-grid (no water/electric) land features trails, fire pits, shelter, and privacy.
This property has its own access with a central open space, surrounded by woods with trails to explore. It features 2 fire pits, a carport shelter with picnic table, pit toilet, and the option to camp or stay in the off-grid cabin. Only 1 booking is allowed at a time, so you’ll have the property entirely to yourself. While the site may appear as 2 separate listings, rest assured it will be just your group.
Your options:
• Book the cabin for a cozy off-grid stay.
• Book the campsite and bring your own tent (or approved trailer) for a classic camping experience.
• Have a large group? Include the number of guests in your booking (6 guests are included, additional for an extra fee). Or you can reserve both the cabin and campsite together should you desire.
Whether you’re looking to hike, stargaze, or just relax, this campsite is perfect for nature lovers seeking solitude and natural beauty. West Michigan beaches and cool up north evenings are hard to beat. This spot is ideal for summer and fall travel.

This property is ideally located within 10 minutes of outdoor adventures like hiking, fishing, kayaking, and swimming. Crystal Mountain is just down the road. The scenic Betsie Valley Trail offers biking and hiking routes, while nearby Crystal Lake is perfect for swimming, boating, and fishing. You’ll also find charming local shops and great spots for dinner or drinks in Beulah or the surrounding towns. We have a list of our favorite spots.
Platte River Park is less than 10 minutes away for kayak launches, fishing, and hiking trails. Just a block down the road is St. Ambrose Cellars, a great stop for wine, mead, and live music. And at the end of the driveway, you can explore acres of beautiful state land.
Want to venture further? In just 20 minutes, you can be at the breathtaking Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore- one of the area's top destinations and a personal favorite. Or take a day trip to Mission peninsula 50 minutes away to enjoy the wine trail and stunning Caribbean like water views.

Weekend Trip to Treehouse Convertible A-Frame Cabin
My boyfriend and I absolutely loved this site!! Felt like the middle of nowhere, all within 12 minutes of downtown charlevoix! The A frame treehouse was a dream and so cozy for the start of fall. John was quick to respond and helpful if we needed anything, but it was set up perfectly to where we were all set. Loved the lights outside and bonfires at night! Our only regret is not using the grill to bbq, i’d recommend this place over and over again!

We had a good time tent camping in Hidden Meadow. We enjoyed the walking trail around the property and had a great view of the stars at night! The site isn't very secluded — you can see the house through the trees — but it was nice and quiet. The included firewood was great, and Phil came to check on us and see if we needed more. Nice proximity to hiking spots too. Would definitely stay here again!

I loved camping here! There was plenty of room with beautiful apple trees. There was a beautiful trail and star gazing spot. Nearby campers were far enough to be quiet and comfortable. There were amazing yard games that we loved to play. It was an awesome camping spot!

We really enjoyed our stay at Camp Moonshadow! Robb was very helpful and quick to respond. The sites were beautiful and the camp had all the essentials conveniently on site! Plenty of spots for each group to have their own space!

This place has exceed our expectations so much that we've extended our stay multiple times! The portable toilets are well maintained, the flushable toilets are super nice and the showers are solar and close to camp.
When we arrived our first night it was late and we had an issue with our reservation gping through but the owner was responsive and HipCamp fixed the issue immediately at 11 pm on a friday night. Can't day enough good things about this experience.

This place was amazing! I actually never met Carl but he commented through the app, which was fine with me. I always felt like I could reach out if I needed something. The grounds are beautiful (flowers, barn, campsite) and it's really peaceful. Would definitely come back!

The space is nice and beautiful. The shower was nice and the farm animals were a cool bonus. We also utilized the farm fresh eggs that were great. My wife and I had a great time here. It is very close to multiple small towns and access points to Lake Michigan. The only issue was the grouper of people that camped at site 1. They had 8 people at their site and had no respect for any of the other campers. It was peaceful until their arrival. I’m sure it was a one off. The host were great and responded quickly.

Nice secluded camping spot! Jackie was flexible with check in and had our firewood ready when we arrived. You do have to carry your items through a small trail that my Jeep wouldn’t fit through, but with a wagon it’s an easy walk! Would camp here again

We usually just pitch a tent, but we decided to change it up and rent an R.V and Bill & Dan's place is awesome. It's a must visit if your staying near Torch Lake. The R.V was super nice, their property was beautiful and they were wonderful. Alot of amenities and a great place to take a hike as well.
