Tucked off to the side was a clean outhouse!

We had plenty of space and tree cover to park and pitch a tent!

The road goes back a ways, so it's great for a morning walk!

Step out of the hectic stress of the everyday and take a moment at one of the many areas to soak up what you have disconnected from. We had a wonderful, peaceful stay here. Quiet and secluded, we had no issues dry camping with our camper. Trees, birds, wildlife, solitude. Couldn’t ask for more! Bear is a delightful host, friendly and helpful. We will definitely return here in the future when our wanderings bring us over to the west side! Thank you!

House of Bear is a soothing and stunning retreat nestled in the woods of northern Michigan! My husband and I live in the area and were looking for a camping staycation — HoB didn’t disappoint! We felt like were in another world! Bear is a gracious host and really curates the space so you really get a beautiful, peaceful, natural wilderness experience. Our dogs loved it and we’ll definitely be returning!
