Nice, peaceful setting with easy access to an event barn that had a great kitchen and bathrooms for use. Great to sleep to the sound of sheep bleating and an occasional Barred Owl! Carl is very accommodating and delivered wood right to our campfire when the stash ran low in the wood crib.

Serene setting with gorgeous views

We loved our stay! The land and the views were gorgeous. It was lovely to have bathrooms and showers available for our use. We got in late Friday night and it rained on Saturday so we didn’t get the opportunity to use the provided fire ring and firewood. Maybe next time!

Carl's place is super cute, well maintained, super clean and had everything you would need to make your stay enjoyable. It was super nice to have a real bathroom and real shower while camping. Carl was super nice during our brief meeting. We had site 2, and it had plenty of space for our 4 tents. I think for our preference site 1 or site 4 would have been more ideal just because 2 and 3 were quite close to each other, but we were the only ones there so noise wasn't an issue. We would totally stay there again if we were in the area!

We loved spot #4. It was set off on its own and full of privacy. The barn was fabulous and the showers were an added bonus! Everything was extremely well taken care of and maintained. Thanks for hosting us at your special place!

Carl has a nice farm away from the town but easily accessible to town. It was nice having access to restrooms 👍🏼 it was a very quick over night stay. The town of Charlevoix is a great place to visit

Me and my friends loved camped in Carl’s land. He was very kind and helpful. The view was beautiful, the place quiet and toilet and shower in perfect conditions. I definitely recommend to camp here. You can also find (and buy) a good seasonal fruit that he sells at a very fair price. We ate some delicious strawberries.

Dhaseleer farm is a really beautiful property and the facilities, amenities and location make it well worth the price. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who wants or needs real bathrooms and showers. Tip - Bier brewery is less than 5 mins away and has an amazing hilltop seating area and great food.

It rained and there was thunder. It was windy. Then a few hours later the train and wind stopped and there was clear skies and we saw all the stars. We saw the aurora. We heard coyotes and sheep all night. The barn was great. There was hot water. We were the only people at any site. We were in a secluded spot in some pine trees out of the wind. It did get down to around 36 F at night. I went in sceptical about the price but left feeling we got good value.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for Labor Day weekend, it was a great time. The showers stay hot and the bathrooms are always clean. There’s fresh berries and wildflowers for you to pick, as well as firewood to use at your fire pit. The owner was outside right away to help navigate us to our spot, which left for very little confusion. A quick 9 minute drive to downtown Charlevoix, but a very peaceful spot with minimal traffic/noise. I would totally recommend staying here and would absolutely come again if I’m in the area.

A Gem of a Place

This property is absolutely beautiful! So peaceful and quiet, yet still close to everything and town. We loved our time here! The barn is so nice and having the clean showers, restrooms and kitchen access were fantastic after a long week on the road.! The owner is so kind and accommodating, I definitely recommend this spot!

lovely gardens to camp and enjoy

This is a beautiful site with garden view on one side and tree line on the other . Perfect and private. There was a picnic table at this site when we stayed but not a fire pit . Many fire pits in various other areas to use just not in this one but we did not want to have a fire anyway so no big deal. The bathrooms and showers are a longer walk from this site then some of the others < the showers and bathrooms are clean and wonderful amenities. The entire events barn is spacious and a fantastic place to hang out . We enjoyed a drink upstairs in the barn in comfy couches during the rain storm. The host is personable and a great farmer Im impressed with all the produce and flowers right outside my camper!

Carl met us upon arrival & gave us a guided tour while also answering any questions we had. The property was easily accessible, well kept, clean and having a nice shower and toilet was an added bonus! Would recommend and will look up Carl in the future when we are in the area!

Excellent camping experience at Carl’s farm! The property is clean and picturesque with the myriad flower varieties and wide open skies. The events barn was beautiful. Carl was so kind and invited us to help clear the tomatoes of horned worms, even supplying us with black lights to make it easier to find them. Thanks Carl! Definitely planning to book again.

The host greeted us and was VERY kind and welcoming. The event barn and having access to it was a great benefit (shower and toilets). Peaceful and quiet. For me, in comparison to other HipCamp places, the price is high. BUT, maybe having access to the amenities is worth it for others.

The property was beautiful. The host was nice enough. The real issues we had were that we were really close to a high traffic rd, you could hear the cars all night. The biggest issue was the water pressure. It was nothing more than a trickle when both showers were in use. Only one toilet. Which also does not flush well. Lastly, it was kind of expensive for what you get. No electric or water hookups. You can use the power in the barn to say, blow up an air mattress though.
