2Chicks And A Farm is a small working farm on 20 acres, owned and run by Julie & Theresa Graham. We are 13 minutes from South Haven and Lake Michigan, 30 minutes from the city of Kalamazoo and just under an hour from Grand Rapids.
Those of you who have visited in the past will notice that we significantly downsized this year. Due to Township and State regulations, we are now limited to offering only four campsites unless we get licensed, which at this time is cost prohibitive. So, we have selected the four most highly rated sites and upgraded them, to truly make your experience here special.
About half of the 20 acres is wooded, with walking trails around the property, to include our fish stocked pond and a little tributary of the Black River.
All sites have a fire ring, or metal fire pit, and picnic table.
We have an outdoor propane shower that provides both hot and cold water.
A free refreshment bar is available 24/7. Feeling a little peckish before breakfast, or after dinner? Help yourself to a snack and a hot or cold drink.
You are welcome to collect eggs for breakfast and fresh produce from our gardens (for a fee).
We are a working farm and registered as two Non-Profits. One an animal rescue, primarily working with cats. At any given day we have 20-30 cats roaming around the farm. All are under the care of our vet, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and treated for fleas and ticks. All important because they will want to interact with you. Some will want to sleep with you.
Our 100 plus flock of poultry, comprised of chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys, free range during the day, so leave the Prada's at home.
If you are staying at Sam's Place, your closest neighbors will Penelope and Petunia, our two female sister pigs. The prevailing winds are down from your site, but you may hear them squabble. Our herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats will love your attention and treats we can provide. Arriving in March is Jack, a miniature donkey...we are very excited!
Please try to check-in by 8pm. Exceptions can be made. There are locally mandated quiet hours (10-7 Sun through Thur, and 11-7 Fri and Sat). Hanging out by a fire and chatting is fine.

Heavily wooded forest with pine, maple, oak and birch. Undeveloped and quiet. The property is home to numerous bird species, deer, wild turkeys and squirrels. Occasional howls from distant coyotes and infrequent raccoons.
The campsites are located on a hill dominated by tall pines overlooking the east facing property. Secluded, but only a 700 feet from the main residence. Only 1 1/2 miles P.J Hoffmaster's State Park and a 10 minutes ride to Grand Haven State Park/Lake Michigan.
Campsites are rustic but we provide camp toilets, a picnic table and a waste container. Fresh water is available at the barn. We also provide a shelter with picnic tables and a charcoal park grille. A large community fire pit is available with wood provided for a small cost by the hosts.
When arriving please drive to the end of the driveway towards the last house. The Flipside Acres sign will be on your right side. Drive down the gravel entrance and park where indicated by the red barn.
All sites are a short walk from the parking area (500ft) and carts are provided for your use. If needed, we can also provide transportation using our UTV. Tent sites are not accessible by car.

This fun property is just under 7 acres - butted up to another 12 acres of public land (and boat launch) with trails, boardwalk and a dock on 51 acre Lake Eleven.
The property is shared by (2) full-hook up RV sites and a cabin. If available, the cabin and sites may be rented together however the owners, Jim and Maria, use the cabin much of the summer leaving just the RV sites available.
The property is at mile market 13 of the Kal-Haven Trail - the midpoint. The Kal-Haven Trail is a biking, cross-country skiing, walking, running, snowmobiling - you name it, the trail that goes 34 miles from Kalamazoo to South Haven. Literally steps from the property and you are on the trail.
But you may not need to leave the property, with 6.3 acres of woods and field, with trail cut through PLUS the added public lands butted up to Tincan's property line, giving almost 20 acres to roam.
Each RV site - far enough apart to be separate, close enough if you and friends/family want to camp together, has a fire pit and fireplace. Each RV site offers water, 30|50AMP electrical and septic.
The dock may have availability for keeping you boat - please inquire. There are kayaks and some bikes (mostly teen and adult size) that may be used. These are shared amenities for the cabin and campsite guests and offered on a first come, first serve basis.
There are surprises galore around the property; big foots to be found tucked around the property, games, and overall just a fun place to be.
This was a run-down fishing cabin Jim and Maria lovingly brough back to life as a second home and they delight in sharing it. Jim often referred to it as "The Tincan" while working on it as it was - indeed, a tin shack and the name stuck.
Kate, your booking coordinator, helps Jim and Maria tend to the administrative side of getting the property booked and keeping the details in order. Once booked you'll get contact info for Kate, who will take care of most communications and logistics, and Jim/Maria who will also be available to help as needed.

Our property is at the end of a private road and has been in the family for decades. We fondly refer to it as One Grand Place and we are excited to be sharing it with you.
We have 2 parcels of land. Each would be just for you and only you. It's like having your very own private property when you are here.
One parcel has only 1 RV site with a cement pad, parallel to the river. Can accommodate 1 RV up to 30' (NO Class A's allowed). 30/50/standard 110 electric and water hookup. Pump out is available for a fee.
At the far west end of the property is our second parcel with 1 very large grassy RV site along the river with 30 amp and standard 110 electric and water. RV up to 30' (NO Class A's). Pump out is available for a fee.

There is plenty of room to set up games, fish, play with the kids or the dogs, etc. What's not to like?
Property is adjacent to Connor Bayou County Park and surrounded by natural wetlands. So, we are a perfect place to unwind, chill, enjoy fresh air and picture perfect sunsets.
Boating, swimming, jet skis, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing are just a few things to be enjoyed on the water. There's a public boat launch just a couple minute ride and Connor Bayou Park has a kayak specific boat launch. Or, you can also drop a kayak in at the very west end of our property right from shore.
Hiking, biking and wildlife/bird/eagle watching are also options. Lake Michigan beaches, various state/county parks, downtown Grand Haven's shops and restaurants are just a short drive away.
Holland is about 30 minutes south. PJ Hoffmaster State Park is 25 minutes North. If you are a thrill seeker, Michigan's Adventure Amusement and Waterpark is 40 minutes North in Muskegon. Grand Rapids is 40 minutes to the East. There are also many wineries, distilleries, ciders and craft beer in Southwest Michigan as well as "you pick" blueberries and many festivals in the summer. Bottom line....there is plenty of things to do and see during your visit. You can be as active or as chill as you want to be.

Pull off the blacktop onto the grassy drive running through the field and forest. The sites are just off of the road, and minutes from lots of local culture and recreation. The property was originally owned by a family name Nichols (thus the name of the lake). It was handed down to the sons who each owned half the property. The driveway down the middle of property that leads to the lake was originally a fence line that divided the two pieces of property. The brothers did not get along and their are several stories of their warring on how to maintain the property.My parents bought this piece of property in 1964 and created a camp called "Lakeside Farm Camp", a small all boys camp. The camp has gone through several changes since then but has always been owned by the Edwards family. In 1984 the name was changed to "Cedar Lodge" a coed camp that specializes in English horseback riding and offering high level general camp activities. Enjoy the peace and quiet of our totally private fresh water lake. Take your boat out for a day of fishing or just chill next to the fire. Sites are approximately 50 feet from each other. 2Chicks And A Farm is a small working farm on 20 acres, owned and run by Julie & Theresa Graham. We are 13 minutes from South Haven and Lake Michigan, 30 minutes from the city of Kalamazoo and just under an hour from Grand Rapids.
Those of you who have visited in the past will notice that we significantly downsized this year. Due to Township and State regulations, we are now limited to offering only four campsites unless we get licensed, which at this time is cost prohibitive. So, we have selected the four most highly rated sites and upgraded them, to truly make your experience here special.
About half of the 20 acres is wooded, with walking trails around the property, to include our fish stocked pond and a little tributary of the Black River.
All sites have a fire ring, or metal fire pit, and picnic table.
We have an outdoor propane shower that provides both hot and cold water.
A free refreshment bar is available 24/7. Feeling a little peckish before breakfast, or after dinner? Help yourself to a snack and a hot or cold drink.
You are welcome to collect eggs for breakfast and fresh produce from our gardens (for a fee).
We are a working farm and registered as two Non-Profits. One an animal rescue, primarily working with cats. At any given day we have 20-30 cats roaming around the farm. All are under the care of our vet, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and treated for fleas and ticks. All important because they will want to interact with you. Some will want to sleep with you.
Our 100 plus flock of poultry, comprised of chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys, free range during the day, so leave the Prada's at home.
If you are staying at Sam's Place, your closest neighbors will Penelope and Petunia, our two female sister pigs. The prevailing winds are down from your site, but you may hear them squabble. Our herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats will love your attention and treats we can provide. Arriving in March is Jack, a miniature donkey...we are very excited!
Please try to check-in by 8pm. Exceptions can be made. There are locally mandated quiet hours (10-7 Sun through Thur, and 11-7 Fri and Sat). Hanging out by a fire and chatting is fine.

Heavily wooded forest with pine, maple, oak and birch. Undeveloped and quiet. The property is home to numerous bird species, deer, wild turkeys and squirrels. Occasional howls from distant coyotes and infrequent raccoons.
The campsites are located on a hill dominated by tall pines overlooking the east facing property. Secluded, but only a 700 feet from the main residence. Only 1 1/2 miles P.J Hoffmaster's State Park and a 10 minutes ride to Grand Haven State Park/Lake Michigan.
Campsites are rustic but we provide camp toilets, a picnic table and a waste container. Fresh water is available at the barn. We also provide a shelter with picnic tables and a charcoal park grille. A large community fire pit is available with wood provided for a small cost by the hosts.
When arriving please drive to the end of the driveway towards the last house. The Flipside Acres sign will be on your right side. Drive down the gravel entrance and park where indicated by the red barn.
All sites are a short walk from the parking area (500ft) and carts are provided for your use. If needed, we can also provide transportation using our UTV. Tent sites are not accessible by car.

This fun property is just under 7 acres - butted up to another 12 acres of public land (and boat launch) with trails, boardwalk and a dock on 51 acre Lake Eleven.
The property is shared by (2) full-hook up RV sites and a cabin. If available, the cabin and sites may be rented together however the owners, Jim and Maria, use the cabin much of the summer leaving just the RV sites available.
The property is at mile market 13 of the Kal-Haven Trail - the midpoint. The Kal-Haven Trail is a biking, cross-country skiing, walking, running, snowmobiling - you name it, the trail that goes 34 miles from Kalamazoo to South Haven. Literally steps from the property and you are on the trail.
But you may not need to leave the property, with 6.3 acres of woods and field, with trail cut through PLUS the added public lands butted up to Tincan's property line, giving almost 20 acres to roam.
Each RV site - far enough apart to be separate, close enough if you and friends/family want to camp together, has a fire pit and fireplace. Each RV site offers water, 30|50AMP electrical and septic.
The dock may have availability for keeping you boat - please inquire. There are kayaks and some bikes (mostly teen and adult size) that may be used. These are shared amenities for the cabin and campsite guests and offered on a first come, first serve basis.
There are surprises galore around the property; big foots to be found tucked around the property, games, and overall just a fun place to be.
This was a run-down fishing cabin Jim and Maria lovingly brough back to life as a second home and they delight in sharing it. Jim often referred to it as "The Tincan" while working on it as it was - indeed, a tin shack and the name stuck.
Kate, your booking coordinator, helps Jim and Maria tend to the administrative side of getting the property booked and keeping the details in order. Once booked you'll get contact info for Kate, who will take care of most communications and logistics, and Jim/Maria who will also be available to help as needed.

Our property is at the end of a private road and has been in the family for decades. We fondly refer to it as One Grand Place and we are excited to be sharing it with you.
We have 2 parcels of land. Each would be just for you and only you. It's like having your very own private property when you are here.
One parcel has only 1 RV site with a cement pad, parallel to the river. Can accommodate 1 RV up to 30' (NO Class A's allowed). 30/50/standard 110 electric and water hookup. Pump out is available for a fee.
At the far west end of the property is our second parcel with 1 very large grassy RV site along the river with 30 amp and standard 110 electric and water. RV up to 30' (NO Class A's). Pump out is available for a fee.

There is plenty of room to set up games, fish, play with the kids or the dogs, etc. What's not to like?
Property is adjacent to Connor Bayou County Park and surrounded by natural wetlands. So, we are a perfect place to unwind, chill, enjoy fresh air and picture perfect sunsets.
Boating, swimming, jet skis, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing are just a few things to be enjoyed on the water. There's a public boat launch just a couple minute ride and Connor Bayou Park has a kayak specific boat launch. Or, you can also drop a kayak in at the very west end of our property right from shore.
Hiking, biking and wildlife/bird/eagle watching are also options. Lake Michigan beaches, various state/county parks, downtown Grand Haven's shops and restaurants are just a short drive away.
Holland is about 30 minutes south. PJ Hoffmaster State Park is 25 minutes North. If you are a thrill seeker, Michigan's Adventure Amusement and Waterpark is 40 minutes North in Muskegon. Grand Rapids is 40 minutes to the East. There are also many wineries, distilleries, ciders and craft beer in Southwest Michigan as well as "you pick" blueberries and many festivals in the summer. Bottom line....there is plenty of things to do and see during your visit. You can be as active or as chill as you want to be.

Pull off the blacktop onto the grassy drive running through the field and forest. The sites are just off of the road, and minutes from lots of local culture and recreation. The property was originally owned by a family name Nichols (thus the name of the lake). It was handed down to the sons who each owned half the property. The driveway down the middle of property that leads to the lake was originally a fence line that divided the two pieces of property. The brothers did not get along and their are several stories of their warring on how to maintain the property.My parents bought this piece of property in 1964 and created a camp called "Lakeside Farm Camp", a small all boys camp. The camp has gone through several changes since then but has always been owned by the Edwards family. In 1984 the name was changed to "Cedar Lodge" a coed camp that specializes in English horseback riding and offering high level general camp activities. Enjoy the peace and quiet of our totally private fresh water lake. Take your boat out for a day of fishing or just chill next to the fire. Sites are approximately 50 feet from each other. If you want privacy we suggest you book both.

Perfect place for sunset vows with golden light and fireflies, our pastoral setting among heritage farms makes for private and peaceful with a blank canvas to create your own vision under a star filled sky. 30 years ago this land was used to pack and store onions and carrots.
The farm hand manager lived where the barn bathroom is. The property is just south of the Allegan state game area, where mint was grown around 1900. The owner AM Todd created the double distilled mint process and sold it to Wrigley for double mint gum.

We really enjoyed a much needed getaway to natureThe Grand cabin was perfect for our needs, affordable, and only an hour from home. Had a great overnight stay here with my partner and dog. Ed was extremely helpful and communicative. Upon arrival, he greeted us and gave us a walkthrough of the cabin and property and had plenty of recommendations and firewood available. The Grand Cabin was cozy and stayed warm through a chilly night. We really enjoyed our stay.
Would definitely recommend and will hopefully be back soon for a longer stay.

Dalton Traders is an ideal place for a peaceful getaway. I truly enjoyed the time spent there, and plan to be back often in the future. Whether you're looking for a quiet retreat, solo or a couple, this is the place. Ed was extremely kind and communicative. Even had cabin heated!
Te cabin itself was perfect and had all you need. Wood stove warmed the cabin well. The trails on the property were great, even got to see some deer. All around Dalton Traders is amazing. Looking forward to spending more time there in the future.

Cabin had everything we needed. It was clean, cozy and peaceful. Long hike in the morning and relaxing by the woodstove with a good book in the afternoon. Great way to unplug and revive. This was our 3rd visit and we will definitely be back next year.

Weekend Trip to Dalton Traders Tents RV's Cabins
This is my boyfriend's and I'd second time staying at Ed's Hipcamp - this time in the winter for Valentine's Day! Once again, we both cannot recommend this Hipcamp ENOUGH! Thankfully, the driveway heading back to our "parking spot" for the weekend was perfectly plowed for us by Ed, so we had no issues whatsoever! Due to us having front wheel drive on our car and there being lots of snow the weekend we came up, Ed provided us with sleds to hike in our belongings a short amount, back to the cabin. The small wood stove kept us nice and cozy all weekend long and we had zero problems staying warm. Ed even provided us with snowshoes to borrow the entire weekend we were there to use around his beautiful property - which was such a fun opportunity!
If you enjoy being locked away for the weekend in a delightful setting and putting your wood-fire stove skills to the test, then I promise you - you cannot go wrong staying at Dalton Traders Lil' Cabin! Thanks again Ed for such a wonderful weekend away - we are sure to be back (again) soon!

We loved staying in the cozy cabin in the woods! Quiet spot to rest and get off the grid for a few days. The cabin is full of amenities that are not usually provided, for example sleeping pads, potable water, camp stove. Clean spot and the hosts are gracious.

The Lil Cabin was so cute and cozy! I was there during a winter storm, 8" of snow overnight, and the cabin stayed 60°and dry the whole time! It was extremely well stocked with wood for the wood stove and Ed plowed the path leading to it before I even woke up both days so I wouldn't be stuck. My dog and I had a great time exploring the trails on the property and at the state park a few miles away

Ed’s Lil Cabin was great. Very thoughtful that he warmed the place up for me. We got probably 7 inches of snow and he cleared paths for me with his tractor. Love the little area they’ve made back in their woods. My pup was also very happy with the stay and the trails behind the cabins.

Great experience, two pups loved all the trails to run around. Ed was a great host, made sure i was good with potable water (dropped off every two days). Cabin really cozy and warm in the winter with all the firewood provided. Really excellent experience, stayed 4 extra nights it was so nice.

This place was perfect! It’s on a beautiful piece of land that makes you feel you are getting away from it all but also close enough to a lot of fun things to do. The lil’ cabin was perfect for the two of us and our two dogs! We loved how rustic it was. The property has some good trails to go for a walk around which was super fun to do with the dogs so they could explore. Highly recommend this place, we will definitely be returning in the future! Ed was also very friendly and welcoming!

Ed was super helpful and responsive during our trip over Christmas. We loved the cabin and it was super easy to keep it warm with the small wood stove. With the leaves off the trees it was possible to see the other cabin and the house on the property, but there was still plenty of privacy and space for our two dogs to run around.

This is a great spot off the beaten path. A hidden gem. Scott and his wife were super welcoming on their property and we're able to help with anything we needed. Deer walked thru the camp and property. Lovely walking path thru the property as well. Very welcoming. We will definitely be back soon.

The cabin was so adorable and it was perfectly warm all night with the little wood stove. Beds were comfortable and I usually have back pain but no issue with the mattresses! The property was beautiful and the host was so kind, he gave is a tour of the cabin and showed us how everything worked, in the morning my dad wanted to see the other cabin and he gave us a mini tour of that one as well. They have a dog on the property but he's super sweet, no barking heard at all. Lovely fall colors and just 15 minutes away from the Muskegon state park off lake Michigan (highly recommend for hikes or picnic). Would come again!

Ed’s Grand Cabin was just what we needed for a weekend getaway! The wood stove kept the cabin nice and warm as we had some cold weather and even a little bit of snow as the winter season approaches. It was a nice, quiet space to relax, cook, and enjoy a fire inside and outside the cabin. We enjoyed a walk on the well maintained trails around the property! Definitely would return in the future!

Weekend Trip to Dalton Traders Tents RV's Cabins
Spent the weekend at Ed's with my boyfriend during late October, when the leaves were changing. We were looking for a cozy getaway in the woods, and his cabin/land MORE than delivered. His cabin was stocked with everything (+ some) to keep us entertained, while locking ourselves away from the hustle and bustle of weekly work. Fortunately, we didn't get much cell service here, which gave us the opportunity to be fully disconnected. We filled our days hiking his many trails scattered throughout his beautiful woods, and tending to the outside fire ring and maintaining the fire in the mini wood stove in the cabin. Ed's cabin provided us with the most relaxing weekend and we cannot recommend it enough if you're needing a weekend to slow down, pause, and reflect on your never-ending To-Do list. We will certainly be back in the future! Thank you Ed, for creating such a space like "Dalton Traders Lil' Cabin" for people like us, to enjoy the beautiful luxury of being able to immerse ourselves in the great outdoors.
