2Chicks And A Farm is a small working farm on 20 acres, owned and run by Julie & Theresa Graham. We are 13 minutes from South Haven and Lake Michigan, 30 minutes from the city of Kalamazoo and just under an hour from Grand Rapids.
Those of you who have visited in the past will notice that we significantly downsized this year. Due to Township and State regulations, we are now limited to offering only four campsites unless we get licensed, which at this time is cost prohibitive. So, we have selected the four most highly rated sites and upgraded them, to truly make your experience here special.
About half of the 20 acres is wooded, with walking trails around the property, to include our fish stocked pond and a little tributary of the Black River.
All sites have a fire ring, or metal fire pit, and picnic table.
We have an outdoor propane shower that provides both hot and cold water.
A free refreshment bar is available 24/7. Feeling a little peckish before breakfast, or after dinner? Help yourself to a snack and a hot or cold drink.
You are welcome to collect eggs for breakfast and fresh produce from our gardens (for a fee).
We are a working farm and registered as two Non-Profits. One an animal rescue, primarily working with cats. At any given day we have 20-30 cats roaming around the farm. All are under the care of our vet, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and treated for fleas and ticks. All important because they will want to interact with you. Some will want to sleep with you.
Our 100 plus flock of poultry, comprised of chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys, free range during the day, so leave the Prada's at home.
If you are staying at Sam's Place, your closest neighbors will Penelope and Petunia, our two female sister pigs. The prevailing winds are down from your site, but you may hear them squabble. Our herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats will love your attention and treats we can provide. Arriving in March is Jack, a miniature donkey...we are very excited!
Please try to check-in by 8pm. Exceptions can be made. There are locally mandated quiet hours (10-7 Sun through Thur, and 11-7 Fri and Sat). Hanging out by a fire and chatting is fine.

Each site has a fixed in place fire-ring with cooking grate and 8-foot picnic table. Parking area, Food Truck, Biergarten and Farm Market are walk-able to on the property. Portable Toilet serviced weekly and potable water is central to the sites. Trash containers with trash bags are at each site. NO HOOK-UPS ARE AVAILABLE. Expect NO or LIMITED cellular service.
One Travel Trailer or up to Three Tents accommodated per site. Sites are flat with moss/grass on sand terrain. One vehicle allowed on each site, parking lot for additional vehicles is available.
This is a PEACEFUL AREA with loud music, noise and entertainment DISCOURAGED. QUIET HOURS ARE 11PM - 8AM DAILY. CONTINUOUS USE OF GENERATORS IS DISCOURAGED.
Weather is typical for West Michigan with occasional winds and rain, we are on sandy terrain so ponding is very limited. WILDLIFE regularly includes Deer, Turkeys, Raccoons and Possum. Black Bear sightings are rare but not a common occurrence.

We are a 20 acre hobby farm along the Grand River in Lowell Michigan. A walkable small town. The river is accessable to small craft. Swimming is not prohibited, but is at your own risk. Several fields are available as well as a small and large tent site along the river. Campers may park in the field.
We are located along the North Country Trail and only a few blocks from their office as well as a 10 min drive from the Kent county youth fairgrounds. 25 minutes to Ionia fairgrounds

The driveway down the middle of property that leads to the lake was originally a fence line that divided the two pieces of property. The brothers did not get along and their are several stories of their warring on how to maintain the property.My parents bought this piece of property in 1964 and created a camp called "Lakeside Farm Camp", a small all boys camp. The camp has gone through several changes since then but has always been owned by the Edwards family. This fun property is just under 7 acres - butted up to another 12 acres of public land (and boat launch) with trails, boardwalk and a dock on 51 acre Lake Eleven.
The property is shared by (2) full-hook up RV sites and a cabin. If available, the cabin and sites may be rented together however the owners, Jim and Maria, use the cabin much of the summer leaving just the RV sites available.
The property is at mile market 13 of the Kal-Haven Trail - the midpoint. The Kal-Haven Trail is a biking, cross-country skiing, walking, running, snowmobiling - you name it, the trail that goes 34 miles from Kalamazoo to South Haven. Literally steps from the property and you are on the trail.
But you may not need to leave the property, with 6.3 acres of woods and field, with trail cut through PLUS the added public lands butted up to Tincan's property line, giving almost 20 acres to roam.
Each RV site - far enough apart to be separate, close enough if you and friends/family want to camp together, has a fire pit and fireplace. Each RV site offers water, 30|50AMP electrical and septic.
The dock may have availability for keeping you boat - please inquire. There are kayaks and some bikes (mostly teen and adult size) that may be used. These are shared amenities for the cabin and campsite guests and offered on a first come, first serve basis.
There are surprises galore around the property; big foots to be found tucked around the property, games, and overall just a fun place to be.
This was a run-down fishing cabin Jim and Maria lovingly brough back to life as a second home and they delight in sharing it. Jim often referred to it as "The Tincan" while working on it as it was - indeed, a tin shack and the name stuck.
Kate, your booking coordinator, helps Jim and Maria tend to the administrative side of getting the property booked and keeping the details in order. Once booked you'll get contact info for Kate, who will take care of most communications and logistics, and Jim/Maria who will also be available to help as needed.

You are most welcome to manifest the time of your life at this rustic campsite 2 miles east of the quaint town of Fennville. A gorgeous swimming hole called Wonder Pond is our highlight. We also offer canoes and kayaks for rent for you to enjoy on the pond. You are welcome to bring your own! Please practice water safety. We do require that children wear life jackets. We have a little farm stand at the front of the property. We often have fresh eggs from our chickens, and fresh veggies from our little garden. Depending on season, we may have these items available for purchase.
There is no electricity or wifi available at the sites.
We have wild raspberry bushes that you're welcome to pick from. If you're planning to camp in the winter, bring your cross country skis!
Create your own tucked in hideaway between our woodland trees. Play, camp, garden, swim, create and unwind in nature. I'm a licensed swim instructor, and offer swim lessons for your little ones as an extra!

Great spot. The 3 sites are tucked into the woods behind the farm and feel isolated.
The outdoor activities in the area are plentiful.
The biergarten and food truck were active and delicious.

Julie's property is beautiful, well maintained, and the cats and supporting cast of farm animals are delightful. Highly recommend visiting 2Chicks and a Farm. We were greeted immediately by cats, chickens, and Julie :) we got a nice walk around the main parts of the property, and we're settled in no time. We bought fresh produce and definitely did not regret it - baked squash in the fire was incredible.
We stayed in Sam's place, which has a tent and cots with plenty of room to spare. The location of this plot was closer to the farm, so more activity with the chickens, cats, and ducks visiting. We loved it.
If you're looking for more quiet seclusion, there's probably another plot available further back on the property.

Ed was a great host! Super clean and well maintained property. The port a potty was probably the cleanest I’ve ever used. There was a large group staying at the camp site when I was there but there’s enough space between areas that I couldn’t hear or see them. Would definitely recommend and would definitely go back!

This was a good location and we were so thankful to our hosts and their generosity when it poured cats and dogs all weekend.
While not the most private space, it was quiet enough and worked for us to gather as friends - hot water, clean portajohn, fire pit, and we would recommend the nearby thirftstores to treasure hunt!

We had such an amazing time with our family. The camp site was top notch and they had so many amazing amenities. The breakfast was also delicious. The kids loved the animals and we had some cat friends at our site the whole time. This was one of our most memorable camping experiences, and we can’t wait to come back and stay again!
Special shoutout to James who did an excellent job on helping us get settled and provided a great farm tour in the rain.

Weekend Trip to Dalton Traders Tents RV's Cabins
I absolutely loved staying here. Not only was it nice and surrounded by woods, I had so much fun taking pictures of the wild mushrooms and flowers. The beds were very comfortable and the cabin warms up nicely for those cold nights. We will 100% be booking this cabin again in the future. It had everything we needed to unplug for a weekend.

Our first Hipcamp experience; we chose this based on all the stellar reviews--we were not disappointed. The sites are well spaced and thoughtfully provided with starter firewood, a fire ring with movable cooking grate, picnic table and trash can. Solar lights at each site entrance guide you back if you have overindulged at the on site Biergarten.
We enjoyed dinner , a few drinks and excellent company there before walking the short distance back to our site.
There is a reason for the excellent reviews--we can't wait to return!

The Grand cabin is a really great stay. Very cozy cabin with super accommodating hosts. Second time there, and it was excellent, just like the first time. It's great for relaxing and unplugging. Would recommend for sure.

10/10 would HIGHLY recommend!! This was my favorite camping spot this Summer and I’m so glad we were able to end our season here! From the welcoming hosts, the convenient beer garden and delicious food, adorable donkeys, quiet/private camp sites, we couldn’t have asked for a better girls weekend!
The sites are secluded enough to feel like you’re roughing it a bit, but with the comfort of the amenities that the hosts make available. They truly have a special thing going here! Such a perfect weekend, thank you!

Elizabeth and family are really welcoming and very nice people. Being from the city, seeing the animal farms, with chickens, goats, pigs running around was a very entertaining for us. I Brought my son and dog, we had a great time. Perfect proximity to towns of Saugatuck and Douglas, MI. Right by Lake Michigan. Such an easy vacation coming from Detroit.

The property dog was very well trained

I wasn’t quite sure what spot we had reserved was not very clear on the reservation. A great little spot though! The fisherman on the river were sometimes loud in the morning. Also, a few of the dogs from the property were very friendly, and they will take your food if you leave it out lol.
