We are a 20 acre hobby farm along the Grand River in Lowell Michigan. A walkable small town. The river is accessable to small craft. Swimming is not prohibited, but is at your own risk. Several fields are available as well as a small and large tent site along the river. Campers may park in the field.
We are located along the North Country Trail and only a few blocks from their office as well as a 10 min drive from the Kent county youth fairgrounds. 25 minutes to Ionia fairgrounds
There is several restaurants and breweries walking distance away, joined by a social district as well as several cannabis stores. A dollar store and ice cream shop are 2-3 blocks away. And a country style breakfast restaurant is next door.

Heavily wooded forest with pine, maple, oak and birch. Undeveloped and quiet. The property is home to numerous bird species, deer, wild turkeys and squirrels. Occasional howls from distant coyotes and infrequent raccoons.
The campsites are located on a hill dominated by tall pines overlooking the east facing property. Secluded, but only a 700 feet from the main residence. Only 1 - 1/2 miles P.J Hoffmaster's State Park and a 10 minutes ride to Grand Haven State Park/Lake Michigan.
Campsites are rustic but we provide a privacy tent with camp toilets, a picnic table and a waste container. Fresh water is available at the barn. We also provide a community shelter (Gazebo) with picnic tables and a charcoal park grille. and horseshoe pit. We do not allow fires at the individual campsites because of the pine needles and the heavily wooded sites, but a large community fire pit is available with wood provided for a small cost ($5 per bundle - cash or Venmo) by the hosts. For your added convenience a rinse off station has been recently added and is located next to the barn! You can also enjoy a nature walk that circles the property or a shorter trail that starts near the gazebo.
The RV site is located by the barn and has 20amp electric service.
When arriving please drive to the end of the driveway towards the last house. The Flipside Acres sign will be on your right side. Drive down the gravel entrance and park where indicated by the red barn.
All sites are a short walk from the parking area (400ft) and carts are provided for your use. If needed, we can also provide transportation using our UTV. Tent sites are not accessible by car.
We also offer free coffee at the Gazebo near the barn and have recently added a rinse off station as well featuring a limited supply of warm water!

Welcome to our little slice of heaven along the Grand River in Grand Haven, MI. Voted one of the best places to visit in '22 and '23. Our property is at the end of a private road and has been in the family for decades. We fondly refer to it as One Grand Place and we are excited to be sharing it with you.
We have 2 parcels of land. Each would be just for you and only you. It's like having your very own private property when you are here.
One parcel has only 1 RV site with a cement pad, parallel to the river. Can accommodate 1 RV up to 30' (NO Class A's allowed). 30/50/standard 110 electric and water hookup. Pump out is available for a fee.
At the far west end of the property is our second parcel with 1 very large grassy RV site along the river with 30 amp and standard 110 electric and water. RV up to 30' (NO Class A's). Pump out is available for a fee.
If you don't have an RV, no problem. Rent our elevated popup RV.
There is plenty of room to set up games, fish, play with the kids or the dogs, etc. What's not to like?
Property is adjacent to Connor Bayou County Park and surrounded by natural wetlands. So, we are a perfect place to unwind, chill, enjoy fresh air and picture perfect sunsets.
Boating, swimming, jet skis, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing are just a few things to be enjoyed on the water. There's a public boat launch just a couple minute ride and Connor Bayou Park has a kayak specific boat launch. Or, you can also drop a kayak in at the very west end of our property right from shore.
Hiking, biking and wildlife/bird/eagle watching are also options. Lake Michigan beaches, various state/county parks, downtown Grand Haven's shops and restaurants are just a short drive away.
Holland is about 30 minutes south. PJ Hoffmaster State Park is 25 minutes North. If you are a thrill seeker, Michigan's Adventure Amusement and Waterpark is 40 minutes North in Muskegon. Grand Rapids is 40 minutes to the East. There are also many wineries, distilleries, ciders and craft beer in Southwest Michigan as well as "you pick" blueberries and many festivals in the summer. Bottom line....there is plenty of things to do and see during your visit. You can be as active or as chill as you want to be.

2Chicks And A Farm is a small working farm on 20 acres, owned and run by Julie & Theresa Graham. We are 13 minutes from South Haven and Lake Michigan, 30 minutes from the city of Kalamazoo and just under an hour from Grand Rapids.
Those of you who have visited in the past will notice that we significantly downsized this year. Due to Township and State regulations, we are now limited to offering only four campsites unless we get licensed, which at this time is cost prohibitive. So, we have selected the four most highly rated sites and upgraded them, to truly make your experience here special.
About half of the 20 acres is wooded, with walking trails around the property, to include our fish stocked pond and a little tributary of the Black River.
All sites have a fire ring, or metal fire pit, and picnic table.
We have an outdoor propane shower that provides both hot and cold water.
A free refreshment bar is available 24/7. Feeling a little peckish before breakfast, or after dinner? Help yourself to a snack and a hot or cold drink.
You are welcome to collect eggs for breakfast and fresh produce from our gardens (for a fee).
We are a working farm and registered as two Non-Profits. One an animal rescue, primarily working with cats. At any given day we have 20-30 cats roaming around the farm. All are under the care of our vet, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and treated for fleas and ticks. All important because they will want to interact with you. Some will want to sleep with you.
Our 100 plus flock of poultry, comprised of chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys, free range during the day, so leave the Prada's at home.
If you are staying at Sam's Place, your closest neighbors will Penelope and Petunia, our two female sister pigs. The prevailing winds are down from your site, but you may hear them squabble. Our herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats will love your attention and treats we can provide. Arriving in March is Jack, a miniature donkey...we are very excited!
Please try to check-in by 8pm. Exceptions can be made. There are locally mandated quiet hours (10-7 Sun through Thur, and 11-7 Fri and Sat). Hanging out by a fire and chatting is fine.

The property was originally owned by a family name Nichols (thus the name of the lake). It was handed down to the sons who each owned half the property. The driveway down the middle of property that leads to the lake was originally a fence line that divided the two pieces of property. The brothers did not get along and their are several stories of their warring on how to maintain the property.My parents bought this piece of property in 1964 and created a camp called "Lakeside Farm Camp", a small all boys camp. The camp has gone through several changes since then but has always been owned by the Edwards family. In 1984 the name was changed to "Cedar Lodge" a coed camp that specializes in English horseback riding and offering high level general camp activities. Enjoy the peace and quiet of our totally private fresh water lake. Take your boat out for a day of fishing or just chill next to the fire. Sites are approximately 50 feet from each other. If you want privacy we suggest you book both.

Come paddle, play and stay with us! Our riverbend glamping sites await your arrival! Fully furnished with air beds and linens, also included is a stocked firepit and drinking water. Kayak and Canoe Rentals onsite for self guided river adventure or hire one of the local area Fishing Guides! This is a great space for families to reconnect for the weekend.
Located on our private river bank this is on 3 acres of land shared by 2 personal glamping sites and a rustic group campsite. Our sight offers scenic views of sunrise on the riverbend as well as the New Richmond Swing Bridge, now open to pedestrian traffic only. The small county park next door offers a riverside boardwalk full of natural flora and wildlife for morning strolls or the delight of a fisherman who likes to be 1st on the water! Kayak and Canoe Rentals are also available on sight, best to reserve in advance. Hiking trails nearby offer a great way to explore the Allegan Forest or the lakeshore sand dunes. We are 7 miles east of Saugatuck and 5 miles north of Fennville, our site makes a perfect escape from the nearby lakeshore shopping and dining district while keeping you in close proximity to local wineries and other attractions. Just follow the paved road all the way to the end of 57th street and enter through our private drive. ....where the pavement ends, adventure begins! See ya at the river!

We had the best time in Blue Lake! Loved our evening wind down at the Biergarten prior to our site campfire. Mike was bartending and gave us a great backstory of the property and surrounding area. Already have our next camp weekend booked!

Quiet and peaceful 3 night stay in a country setting. Good for RV’s (electricity was available). The wide variety of farm animals completed the perfect setting for us. Elizabeth was very friendly and kind, and for a reasonable fee she took good care of our two dogs while we attended a wedding.

Beautiful property, the site along the river is really nice. Quiet and peaceful, but still close to town. Sites are fairly dispersed and grassy, the donkey and sheep are really cute. Note, this property is very basic plan on bringing your own water, firewood and a toilet if you need it. Overall we had a fantastic stay!

What a great find! We booked this place only a couple hours before arriving, and the hosts were extremely kind and accommodating. Diesel was a great host too! 🐶
It was nice being able to walk the farm and visit all the animals. There were even 3 day old piglets!! Elizabeth even threw us some extra firewood as well as recommended a great spot for pizza. We definitely plan to come back and visit again!

Our family had a great time. One night wasn’t enough! So we will definitely be back. Julie and Theresa are so welcoming as well as all the staff that we met. James gave an informative and fun farm tour and we look forward to the next time. Sam’s Bell Tent slept 3 adults and 3 kids quite comfortably with all the included cots. We’re all great sleepers so even though we were close to the roosters, all the animal sounds were music to our ears. Many cats will come to visit and one of them (Cole) event slept in our tent. Can’t wait to bring more family back with us!

We had an absolutely great time. It is right off of a dirt road but doesn't get much traffic down there. We needed a quiet little getaway and this place definitely provided that. B
The bathroom was clean and everything was well taken care of. We camped with my 2 little dogs and they loved the walks down the trail.

Simple, quiet, trash can was good, the beirgarten was good to have nearby, the fire pit was fancy, just a little bit uneven and sandy on the site. maybe some crushed stone for parking. otherwise it was just fine. loved the donkey sounds in the morning.

We had such a lovely weekend on Joe’s land. Our dog loved being off leash and had a great time exploring the paths. Saw lots of butterflies and bees and one deer. Oh and so many stars! I’m already planning our next trip.

Our group loved camping at the Rustic Group Campsite at Riverside Respite. The space is big enough for our tents to be spread out. There was plenty of water provided, a large picnic table, and a ton of wood for fires. Love the proximity to plenty of things to do during the day.

Tent camping here was amazing, definitely a hidden gem! We opted to book one of Jim’s sites as all of the nearby parks were near capacity and were hoping for more privacy and we are so glad we did! Sites were large and spaced out with plenty of space for multiple tents and our vehicle, picnic table, and a fire pit with a grate for grilling. We stayed over a weekend and being able to walk to the Biergarten after dinner and enjoy some drinks and their fire pit was great, they were open until 11! The morning we left we also got brats, and checked out their little camp and gardening shops. We didn’t get to meet Jim, but Mike was there during our stay and he was great! 10/10 experience, we already booked again for our next camping weekend 😄
