John and Jody are the most gracious hosts. They have perfected the long lost art of customer service. They took the time to greet me and even brought me a coffee one morning. They respond quickly to messages and want to ensure they you have the best experience possible. I came to bike the trails of Zeeland & Holland and I was not disappointed. The trail was a half mile from their house and much of it was surrounded by farms.

We loved camping at John and Jody's. We loved the outside shower and the big green grass. We had a day full of rain and John was very concerned after our wellbeing. We defenitely come back. Thanks so much.

Lovely property and kind hosts. Made us feel welcome. Provided lots of great local spots throughout the west Michigan area. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

I loved the area. It was a nice little quiet area behind the house and barn. It was very convenient for us to access other major cities from their place. They were nice enough to greet us with coffee and tell us about different things to do. It’s was a very clean out house shower and bathroom. I would come back here again to visit other towns and for us to be regulars on this camp site.

Super nice owners! Didn’t get to say hi since we got in late from missing our train in Chicago but the site was easy to get to and had nice flat ground for my partner (he can’t sleep well unless it’s flat!). Having a sink was nice and Holland was close by. They even gave a list you could take of cafes you could go to in the area. Would love to stay here again!

Absolutely loved staying here. John and Jodi were amazing hosts and such a blessing to meet. Our kids asked if we can go back every year, my husband and I thought the same thing! So grateful to them and their generous attitudes. (Our dog also loved running around in their fenced in area!)

John and Jodi were super hosts. They tried very hard to make our stay as comfortable as possible and we're as gracious as can be. We would highly recommend them to anyone coming through the Zeeland Michigan area. They have a lovely back area behind their barn that provided plenty of room for us to spread out and not feel cramped.

1000% recommend if you’re in the area. Clean bathroom and a nice hot private shower! John was very friendly and surprised me with coffee in the morning, needed that as I forgot my propane! close to the beach too! Just go!!

I could not have asked for a better tent camping experience in Zeeland!! Easy access to my site via car (and was able to park right there), flat, evening shade, quiet, gated (not locked) and the BEST homemade bathroom setup! There was a light, composting toilet, sink with soap and an outdoor shower that was heavenly (also had some shampoos and such). The way the hosts built the bathroom was so creative and it was neat and clean. Speaking of hosts... John and Jodie were absolutely wonderful. Upon arrival, John brought me a cold pitcher of water, a coupon for breakfast at Le Crème and great information and conversation! Jodie and I talked over espresso they made me in the morning for at least an hour. On my way out, they offered me a bite of breakfast and a little bundle of freshly picked lavender and rosemary. Truly a wonderful experience and one of my favorite Hipcamp sites yet. 1000% recommend!

What a great experience! Quiet, convenient, clean and comfortable. Truly excellent hosts that genuinely want their guests to enjoy their time on this beautiful property. While we were there we were able to bike to the farmers market, local shops, and the water's edge which made this stop one of the highlights of our trip. The combination of amenities, hospitality, and location will no doubt make this place a favorite among hipcampers.

This stay was absolutely perfect from the moment we booked it. The communication from John and Jodi pre-trip was fast and very informative. We arrived much later than expected and they still welcomed us at the front gate, guided us in, and showed us around the property. The property itself was sprawling and very well maintained with a private space for us to camp, a spacious composting toilet and a refreshing outdoor shower with hot, soft water. We brought our dog and the fenced in area was absolutely perfect for her. This was the best night sleep we'd had on our whole trip. Completely silent and dark which allowed our dog to sleep and not be distracted by animals or noise. We were greeted with specialty homemade coffee in the morning. Unfortunately, I pulled a muscle in my back the day before and could barely move and once we told them they didn't hesitate to offer everything they could including an ice pack, pain relieving gel, and Tylenol. All of which were wonderfully helpful and much appreciated. When I say these two people are wonderful and kind it doesn't even begin to scratch the surface. They would give you the shirts off their backs and were so accommodating and did literally everything they could to make sure our stay was perfect. I would without a doubt come back here if even just to say hi to these amazing people.

Our stay at John’s farm was absolutely fantastic. He thought of everything possible and he and his wife even came out and helped us set up. The set up for this Hipcamp is awesome, and the outdoor shower was a group favorite! John and Jody were extremely accommodating and came out to make sure we had everything we needed, and suggested a few great places to visit. This Hipcamp is also in a great location, but still feels very private. They also get bonus points for having an incredibly cute and friendly dog. We hope to be back soon.

John’s land was perfect for our camping weekend! Him and his wife were so sweet, accommodating, and attentive. They gave us many recommendations to things we wanted to do and see. The outdoor shower and bathroom were clean and private. Very dog friendly with the fenced in yard and plenty of room for the pups to run and play. Best part of this camping trip was meeting John’s friendly dog.

For people like us who choose to travel full time we have been going for about a year now, it is important for us to have safe and comfortable places to stay rest and recharge, we book this site last minute and showed up later than normally would we were pleased to find we were John and Jodi first guests from hip camp, although we were unexpected John wasted no time setting up the outdoor shower and bathhouse and allowed us to get set up in a wonderful spot in the pasture, we have 2 dogs that have often had to wait in vehicle while we set up because of what they may get themselves into, but were able to get out and get the zoomies out right away and seemed to immediately want to thank John and Jodi for this, after set up we were given some very delicious refreshing drinks and fresh lavender from garden, John and Jodi were incredibly welcoming, we spent 2 very relaxing nights and were able to spend days exploring the surrounding areas, the people of Zeeland and surrounding areas are some of the most genuine and nice people that we have met John, Jodi, and family are a perfect example of this, we highly recommend planning a stay here for anyone in the area. We left feeling refreshed ready for next adventure and grateful to have been able to meet and spend time around such wonderful people.
