Clothing is optional through out all of the property; overnight camping and sunbathing/day pass spots are available. Located on the Wapsipinicon River. Camp sites are very private and tucked away from life's stresses. Relax in the woods. Watch the cows and calves moo in the nearby pasture. Walk nature trails with native wildlife and flora. Great photo opportunities abound. Cast a line to catch dinner. Escape to nature is the key to this property; find yourself tucked away from city sounds and light pollution. Come out to see the sunset/sunrise, check out the stars, read a good book, lay out in your favorite hammock, find yourself, and be at peace. Great place for a nice camping fire; treat yourself to some smores. Peaceful sounds at night of the river flowing as you drift off to sleep in your tent. Perfect little spot for peaceful relaxation and just taking some time. Walk the trails in your natural skin, shoot photos of all the different plants, listen to the birds and animals scurry, enjoy the sunshine, and feel the warmth on all of your body. Put in your canoe or kayak at Olin for a 3-4 hour float to our camping area. There are lots of state parks within a short drive; visit the only Presidential library in Iowa; and tour some amazing caves in nearby parks. Enjoy the Great Jones County Fair only 30 mins away.. So much to do, and then come back to a space without crowds and just chill. Welcoming to all, we love to meet new people and let them share in the joy of bonding with nature freely.

Anamosa offers several restaurants, grocery stores and other businesses all within walking distance and less than a mile from our land. There is a beautiful spring-fed water hole ideal for swimming in the state park, as well as access to the river from our property (although we do not recommend swimming in the river.)

I really enjoyed my first trip to the JTRidge. It's quite a unique setup, and definitely my kind of camping. Riverside site 2 was clean and spacious, and there were many shared amenities that made it even more comfortable. Scott and Kimberly were awesome hosts! Not only was the communication instant and clear leading up to and during my visit, they were also looking out for my safety (we had some bad weather roll in.) The weather didn't cooperate and I chose to leave early rather than endure an entire day in the rain, but I look forward to returning. Highly recommend JT - it's a beautiful place to explore, get some sun, and sleep under the stars. Thank you, Scott and Kim for sharing it with us!

I stayed at the Eagle’s Nest. I loved the little cabin especially since no tent was needed. The front deck was perfect for cooking and the view was spectacular. Scott was extremely attentive to my every need. He met me and helped load my gear in his trailer which was pulled by his 4-wheeler. As much as I loved the Eagle’s nest, the riverfront campsites looked very inviting. Scott has engineered a rain water shower, so I used my solar camp shower to heat the water. Perfect! Give this place a try!

I would highly recommend getting blueberries during your stay as they were delicious. If I was ever out their way I would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful relaxed stay in Cathy’s orchard! The tent spot is a couple hundred yards from where I parked the car, but Cathy had carts available to haul my gear around. The evenings were outstanding. As the sunset fireflies would rise up out of the grass. It was like the grass was on fire …so beautiful! Her place is surrounded by farmland and up on a hill. It was breezy and lovely, even though the temperature was in the upper 80s. I will definitely be back again another year. Cathy’s place has so much character and beauty. I would not miss the opportunity for a return trip. Thank you, Cathy.!

Tent camping at Jungletown Ridge campground this past weekend was an enjoyable experience once again. The campsites were very clean and well maintained. Scott & Kimberly are the greatest hosts a person could ask for. The sites along the river and pasture are great backdrop to the views. Got to see deer and squirrels and a big assortment of birds. Will definitely be back soon and recommend it to everyone who wants to try a clothing optional camping trip.

Have a seat in the infinity chairs and relax with a cool beverage as you take in the sun. Large open space, set up hill from the main house with privacy to relax. Bring your favorite music, snacks and beverage. Lots of free space to relax and yet room to wander. Take time to explore the trails and bond with nature. All area on property is clothing optional to your comfort level. Great way to spend your lunch hour, a break from life for a few hours or spend the day reading a good book. Perfect for those alone moments or time with another just enjoying the day.

I booked the sight originally for river access, swimming, fishing. With the rain earlier that week. The river was a flowin. But the view and peaceful air. And very well kept campsite was phenomenal! The sites are secluded and spaced wonderfully. So clothing optional is not in your face. Do or dont. I brought my kids. The 4 yr old took full advantage of the optional clothing. Very nice job Scott and Kimberly.

The place was very peaceful and thought provoking with all the cool art structures. You can tell they put in a lot of love and hardwork on this place. About

Although it doesn't look very presidential, this tiny cottage in West Branch, Iowa, was the home of the 31st president of the United States. You can really get a feel for what it was like growing up in a late 19th-century farming community here. In the age of the internet, this national historic site offers a chance to recreate Herbert Hoover's childhood.

The son of a blacksmith, Hoover left West Branch to live with relatives in Oregon after he was orphaned at age 9. The small cottage contains some original Hoover family heirlooms, including the president's baby cradle. Nearby is a blacksmith shop similar to the one his father owned. There's also a Quaker Friends Meetinghouse that pretty much the same as when Hoover's mother attended services there.

Following his presidency, the Hoover family bought the cottage and preserved it. In addition to the cottage, you can view Hoover's gravesite and his presidential library. Explore this rustic farm area to relive some of the principles of hard work and honesty that shaped Hoover's presidency.

This humble site has much of the same aura as it did in the 1870s and 1880s when Hoover lived there. Fall foliage and harvest events make the trip even better.

As National Park enthusiasts, we truly enjoyed our visit to the Herbert Hoover National Historic Site. The park staff, including the Ranger, were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, offering insights that brought Hoover’s story to life.
