A convenient 7 miles north of Interstate 80 but feels like an oasis away from it all. ln Spring the orchards are blooming and Spring ephemeral flowers are popping up in the woods. Terns, eagles and hawks are swooping toward the river and the fish are jumping. The prairie we burned and mowed is now greening up beautifully and the trees are starting to flush with green. As summer comes on, there'll be foraging opportunities for berries and mushrooms throughout. Please take a taste and leave the rest for others to enjoy! This year, Draco Hill Nature Farm is hosting free events you can join in on when you camp! Farm tour June 8, June 21 the Solstice Potluck on the Prairie, a night time bug show and talk July 12 and more throughout the year. See Dracohill.org/events for details. Make it part of your camping experience! Enjoy nature in a private, wooded river valley setting. Go to sleep under the stars to the sound of frogs, cicadas, coyotes, deer and the rustling wind through the tallgrass prairie. Wake to an amazing sunrise over the river. Enjoy a hike through our 4 miles of trails on 75 acres of rolling woodlands and prairie, picking berries, finding mushrooms, scaring up a turkey or pheasant in the brush or listening to the birds. (Pull out your Merlin app to see who's singing!) Play in the river or upland pond, cut cattails and prairie grasses for souvenirs and enjoy being unplugged for a while. Your hosts are here if you need us, but we leave you to enjoy this beautiful place at your own pace.

Sun and Swimming
Sun and Swimming was a great spot! It felt secluded, was quiet and we had a nice view of the river. The set up of the spot was perfect. It was exactly what we were hoping for!

Comfortable, Secluded Stay.
Very comfortable and private camp site. Suzan was a short distance away, quick to reply, and ready to help if needed. A previous review stated that this site could not fit a vehicle over 7’ tall but I had no issues with my camper. Follow the detailed instructions, send Suzan any questions if you’re unsure and enjoy a tranquil stay.

Trees and Terrace
Was a wonderful trip we had. Susan was attentive, and available as needed. The property was beautiful, even in the rain. Susan was very proactive about maintaining the access roads to ensure safe travels, and minimal damages to the property. Amenities were available, stocked, and clean. 100% would rent again, and definitely plan to.

Beautiful Land on Cedar River
It's such a lovely piece of land! Beautiful right on the Cedar River. The river was high so we didn't get to do any swimming but there is a path down to the water. The trails are well marked and kept up. You don't have tons of privacy from the Sun and Swim spot so if that's your thing don't book. The sycamore trees provide great coverage and it overlooks a peaceful part of the Cedar River. Would recommend this place to others for sure.
