Overall, unreal experience at n*Everland! Here’s a bit of a breakdown to convince more people to check out this awesome location.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the very friendly Bob, who showed us around the property, explained a bit about the history of the place, and walked us through the many campsites we could choose from. We chose a spot close to all the unique buildings. It was flat and large enough for our group of 6 to spread out. Our large yurt fit right in with the property! We spent our time there exploring the buildings, showering off in the solar shower, walking down to the river (one highlight for sure) and having the most amazing conversations with our lovely hosts. We purchased the pizza oven experience, expecting to fiddle with the process to create amateur pizzas, but were surprised with Xenes offer to graciously cook many different pizzas for us to try! It was the highlight of the trip for sure. Bob and Xenes other residents were also a treat to chat with. We engaged in amazing conversations, and the energy completely won us over. The drive to the Maquoketa caves was for sure worth it as well- super close by and an incredible experience! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful and incredibly fruitful experience. We hope to come back soon!
Wow! I had the best time at Neverland. This was my first hipcamp experience and I am soaring with gratitude for my time spent here. The land and people are a breath of fresh air for any visitor needing a reminder of peace on earth!
I came on a solo birthday trip and was welcomed with exceptional hospitality and warmth from the hosts. I left absolutely touched by the space and am counting the days til I can return to dance with this community again!
My advice it to come with an open heart, explore the property and connect with the folks who steward the land! You might just learn something new! In gratitude alwaYs!
There is a special feeling on their property. A sense of familiarity and comfort. We had a day of last minute booking and were so grateful for how amazing the trip ended up being. It was very private and had more than everything we needed. Very clean and so much to explore. I look forward to coming back and spending more time with Xene ! Much peace and love 🤍 if you are looking for something unique and secluded with much to explore then book here!

Bob and Z are fantastic hosts! My brothers, sister and sister in law all went camping on their property for our little sisters wedding that was nearby. This is our second time camping here and the single best camping location we have ever had, all of us agreed. We couldnt wish for anything more from them or the campsite. Always beautiful and its always amazing. Such welcoming people. Everything about the place feels safe and full of good energy. After the wedding we now have inlaws in iowa so we will be back and choose Bobs to camp at every single time. We had everything we needed to smoothly enjoy our camping experience and were fully prepared for the wedding. Thank you again Bob and Z and we will be back again and thank you for being so warm and welcoming people!

First of all, the absolute eye-candy of this entire ranch is amazing! So much to look at, it's absolutey incredible and inspiring. Second, Robert and Xene were such warm and friendly hosts. We were supposed to camp, but due to heavy weather, they offered us a bed indoors, in one of their fantastic rustic barns. It was such a cool, eclectic space. Very bummed we had to head out the next morning, we would have loved to stay longer!! Will absolutely try to come back!!!

It was very magical here and we only wish we had a little more time to explore and get to know Bob and Xene more. Very kind and welcoming people who have crafted a wonderfully creative and peaceful oasis in this corner of the world. I was worried that the highway sounds might keep me up but the sounds of the crickets at night lulled me right to sleep. Would recommend!
This was our first Hipcamp stay, and I am not sure how any other spot will live up to this. Bob and Xene were lovely hosts, and our campsite was shaded and so quiet. We would love to come back and stay for more than one night.

Absolutely beyond grateful for this experience and the connection I was able to have with bob, xene, and their friends. And obviously Martha. It is something that I will carry with me for the rest of my days. The space provided is something so uniquely special and I felt very lucky that they have chosen to share their land with the public. The energy that has gone into this place did not go unnoticed, and the purpose bob & xene have in the world is extraordinary. What a gift. Thank you immensely for this.
To say that I was inspired would be an understatement. This was my first solo trip and it fell during a place in my life that was exactly in alignment with what I needed. I do not think I found this place, the universe found it for me. I would never be able to put into words what I took out of this experience. My stay way during a new moon, a planetary parade, right before the summer solstice, and at a time of deep healing and reflection for me. I felt so safe and comfortable to do what I needed to do for my soul.
There is many things this place could offer someone and I hope if you’re reading this, you choose to see what that looks like for you. It was a perfect place to be a human on the Earth. I will be back. Next time with my community.

N*Everland Barnyard was a highlight stop on our cross country trek. The second we drove in we were amazed by this quirky, unique, fairytale of a campground. Not only was it filled with creative masterpieces, but clean, well maintained, and well equipped. Bob and Xene were such awesome people, very accommodating and even took the time to show us around all the brilliant structures and share their stories…..my 13 year old now wants to become an artistic architect!! We are already planning our next trip back and can’t wait to see what else Bob & Xene dream up!

Had such an amazing time at this camping site! Everyone in our group enjoyed every moment and it turned into such a unique experience. The hosts were honestly the best — super friendly, welcoming, and took care of everything so well. We even got our braids done by them which made the trip even more memorable! From dancing with strangers around the bonfire to enjoying the peaceful and calm nature away from the city, everything felt perfect. Couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. Highly recommend this place if you want to relax, connect with nature, and make unforgettable memories!
We booked a site for our small travel trailer (23 ft), the listing said RVs are allowed but no power on air and nothing about no generators being allowed on their property. We arrived and setup, the site was lovely, as is the property and all the art on site. Within a couple hours of being there we were told they do not allow generators (I did not remember seeing that in the listing) although the owner did state that ours is pretty quiet but ultimately she felt it affected others (not even close to us) being able to enjoy bird sound and nature…ok it’s their property so I did not argue. She said that we may use the generator the next day as they were hosting a party and there would be noise. A pizza party was mentioned prior to arrival, however a large party was not. Sunday we left to hike and came back to our site surrounded 3/4 sides within 3 ft with vehicles, people and unleashed dogs, we even had a dog run into our site and ran off with our dogs toys. Ultimately, we were not able to enjoy the quiet weekend we hoped for. Anyone traveling in an rv should take note of the generator thing especially if you are traveling with medical needs like we are. The property is beautiful, as is state park nearby. We enjoyed the local antique mall. We made the best of our weekend but ultimately feel like the listing was misleading about the generator and big party and there was really no consideration if we were comfortable or wanted to be in the middle of a large private party.

Really enjoyed listening to the resident owl during the night!
We loved everything about our stay at Neverland Barnyard. The art installations are amazing to see and explore, the trail to the river is lovely, and the atmosphere is magical. The hosts, Bob and Xene, are welcoming and helpful. It was very nice to get to know them and their story. The whole place reflects their positive energy and loving worldview. Don't leave without engaging in the Crate Peace art project and getting your hair braided.

We loved the fact that we got to choose what campsite we wanted. The art instillations throughout the property were fun to explore. The owners were very pleasant and welcoming.
Outhouses were clean & firewood was provided.
Only thing missing from the site was a picnic table. I was thankful we packed a table so it didn't matter but would recommend they put a table on every site. That's really my only complaint. 10/10 would stay again.

Very beautiful way to experience this part of Iowa definitely recommend it if you’re into a unique rustic artistic aesthetic and you’re curious about being possessed. the cats are cute. Very grateful they made accommodations with us because of the weather. 10/10 communication, they helped us navigate in a rainstorm at night, and then made sure we had a dry spot for the night when we had originally planned to stay in a tent.

We were passing thru on a Van roadtrip and needed a place to park and stay pretty short notice. We were delighted to find N*everland and Xenie and Bob were kind enough to host us last minute. They have a beautiful property that we enjoyed walking our dogs around. There was a bathroom and shower available to us, which was a bonus. Anamosa is a cute town and we were a very short drive away from downtown for dinner. Overall a very pleasant stay and a very friendly and communicative host!

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Everland! Robert and Xene have crafted a peaceful plot of land where you can park your rig, kick back and enjoy some peace and quiet. Take a nice walk on their trails or nearby Wapsi State Park. They provide plenty of dry firewood and a clean restroom with a shower as well as a portalet in other areas. Their chickens produce some tasty eggs! Their outdoor sculptures and whimsical ways or repurposing everyday items is inspiring!

This place is great! Several options to set-up camp and some super cool hosts!! :)
Absolutely gorgeous and lovely lovely people. If you like art, this is definitely the place to be not just at the campsite but also throughout the town. The nearby state park is gorgeous and has caves, the site is lovely and level and wood abounds for fires. The hosts are very welcoming and accommodating.

What a super cool place! Robert and Xene are incredible hosts, with the most epic camping world ever. The art exhibits are beyond wild, and fun to explore and get lost in. The camping was serene, including visits from deer and turkeys. The free firewood was such a nice touch, as was the ability to buy fresh eggs from their chickens. We had such a great overall experience and can’t wait to visit again!

We absolutely loved our time at Robert and Xene’s. The property was beautiful and peaceful. We chose the very last spot at the bottom of the property and it was perfect. One morning about 15 wild turkeys flew over us. They are caring and gracious hosts and we cannot wait to go back.
What a delight to spend the weekend at Bob and Xene’s. We experienced wild turkeys, nightly campfires, a walk to the river, and plenty of wonderful creations. Our site felt private, yet close to site amenities. You can hear some distant highway noise from the secluded hilltop… but I think that may be Iowa. We visited 4 state parks over the weekend and could often hear some road noise but still a great weekend in nature.

The grounds were beautifully kept. There's so much art to see, beautiful places to hike, and the hosts are very kind and welcoming. There's clean bathroom and outdoor shower for the guests (hot water included). I can't wait to go back!
Wondrous. Peaceful. Loving. The hosts, Xene and Robert, are incredibly welcoming. The campsites were clean and well maintained. Multiple shower options and a short walk to the restroom with running water. Wondrous buildings to explore with all sorts of oddities and art. There were deer loping around at every glance. Multiple campsite options for being secluded or more out in the open. Easy to drive up to. Great communication and directions from the hosts. Very short drive to stores for last minute necessities. Firewood and ring came in clutch. They have cultivated a beautiful space for being, I felt like I was right where I needed and wanted to be.
Best. Hipcamp. Ever.
Such a unique experience and the hosts were amazing!
