Your campsite has an adjoining mowed private walking trail overlooking Four Mile Creek, and is also within walking distance of Ankeny sidewalks for biking, walking, jogging. It’s the best of both worlds - town and country!
We're a 15 minute drive from Big Creek and Ledges State Parks, Jester Park and Saylorville Lake where you can enjoy fishing, skiing, boating, horseback riding, hiking, biking, and the beach life. We are not a commercial campground. We focus on Zen, mindfulness, peace, and tranquility. Firmly in the realm of Outsider Art, Gothic and rustic, Bob Kellogg has created a place unlike anywhere else in the world that represents freedom and inspires endless creativity. The land provides multiple camp sites for easy access to bike and walking trails taking visitors into town or through the Wapsipinicon State Park across the river from the property. Anamosa offers several restaurants, grocery stores and other businesses all within a 1-mile walking distance from your campsite.

This is "socks and shoes, jeans and boots" kind of camping. You're visiting wild places and a working perennial farm, so please dress appropriately for your optimal enjoyment. If you go off trails and other mowed places, you increase your chances of contact with poison ivy, wild parsnip and ticks. Please research these ahead of time and be prepared. We live here and encounter them frequently without more than a slight inconvenience.

We open year-round!! We believe each season has its special nature-beauty, so we open year-round. The property name is Tri-pond Farm. This secluded, beautiful, pet-friendly 40 acres of fenced farm camping site is on hilly-pond land and is rare in Iowa, with a view of 3.5 private fishing ponds and a far view of the Red Rock Lake. There are 10 acres nature timber area that keep you away from the other campers and the rest of the world. Each site has a firepit, picnic table, and a solar light. The drinking water is at the entrance, but no electricity on. There are tons of natural features, you may see deer, rabbits, and other game birds by your campsite. Each camping sites have good distance to keep privacy from each other.
A recently built 20ft diameter geodesic glamping dome tent is for those who want a more climate-controlled stay while still enjoying the magnificent gifts.
For surrounding areas, the nearby White Breast Beach is open from May 23 to September 3, 2026, with boating, hunting, and hiking activities in Lake Red Rock. For our campers' safety, any hunting activities are not allowed within our camping ground. However, in case you come hunting with Iowa hunting tags, a couple of public hunting grounds are near our camping ground.
The recently built glamping geodesic Dome tent is located on top of a hill. You will have a fantastic sunset view of ponds and a lake view while enjoying the great nature and having a comfortable stay.
The cell phone signals are good from most providers; you may use your cell phone hotspot work remotely at this astonishing Lake Red Rock Oasis ^_^.

A little history of this land:
These 40 acres of land were a surface mining site. The reclamation works done
during the 1970s. But over the years, the soil was seriously eroded. Anna and Peilin, who have Master's and PhD in soil and environmental health backgrounds, bought this land several years ago and started to restore the vegetation. Now the site looks beautiful and ready for the nature lovers and campers to enjoy the fantastic view of the lake, ponds, hills, and tall grass, Butterflys... The site is totally different from what Google Maps shows now.

I camped at prairie meadow campsite this weekend. It is A great spot.there is shade and sunshine in this site for sunbathers and shade to cool down. Get to watch for deer , birds and cows with calves. The calves were fun to watch playing and running around the pasture. Also got to see 3 deer in the field and a blue heron fly over. Also got to see a Bald eagle pass over the timber.

We had such a peaceful stay! When we arrived, we were immediately greeted and lovingly shown around the property. You can tell that there was so much love and positivity in every pocket of air. We stayed at the Eagle’s Nest, which was very private and had a wonderful view. To our delight there were hammocks inside too :). We loved the cows, birds, and frogs as well. This was a great area to camp. The Shade Site was beautiful with great views of the river and sunrise. Tranquil for sure. All campsites are quite far from each other. The only exception is the site nearest to the Shade site. We were the only people there for two of the three nights stayed over July 4th! Suzan was very friendly and swung around to say hi one of the days. Would go back.

First of all, the absolute eye-candy of this entire ranch is amazing! So much to look at, it's absolutey incredible and inspiring. Second, Robert and Xene were such warm and friendly hosts. We were supposed to camp, but due to heavy weather, they offered us a bed indoors, in one of their fantastic rustic barns. It was such a cool, eclectic space. Very bummed we had to head out the next morning, we would have loved to stay longer!! Will absolutely try to come back!!!

This is a lovely lovely lovely spot. Nicely prepared grounds. Fireflies and owls at night; and an unbelievable chorus of birds in the morning. And quiet! No background noise anywhere. The sunny spot is sunny, the shady spot is shady. Everything is well marked with good signage. Suzan swung by once to see if all was well; otherwise it was completely and totally private. If I was looking for a place in Eastern Iowa to just chill out, this would be the place!

Weekend Trip to #JTRidge Sites/Clothing Optional
We stayed in the Cabin, and, after being helped to settle in and given the tour, spent 2 days in the most pleasant and relaxing setting I've seen in years! Scott was very accomodating, and the property is very well maintained.
Just make sure to bring plenty of bug spray. The mosquitoes weren’t awful, until after a brief rain when the wind died, at which point we had to retreat to the cabin to avoid being ravenously dined on 😅
9/10, if you like nature, camping, don't mind the lack of powered sites, and aren'tparticularly shy, then head to JT Ridges, you won't regret it!

The waypoint is beautiful. This is exactly the type of Hipcamp I’m always looking for, the kind where you’re truly secluded in nature. I went to sleep surrounded by fireflies in a lovely prairie. I explored a path in the morning and found a beautiful pond teeming with damselflies and singing frogs. Next time I come back it will be when I have more time to enjoy the peace and calm (this time was just a one night stop to break up a drive)

Our group of 8 booked all three camping sites for the weekend and LOVED our stay. The property is beautiful and had everything we needed. Scott is incredibly thoughtful and has put a tremendous amount of care into making this an awesome and comfortable place to camp. We loved how much space there was to explore and that we were right on the water. Our only regret was not staying an extra night!

My family and I had such a wonderful stay. Adequate cooking supplies, beach toys by the pond, canoe and treehouse to play in, and the tipi was comfortable. Maria was friendly, responsive and hospitable. We brought our dog and 4yo kiddo and a great time was had by all. Thanks, Maria!
