Lake Perry Campground was established in July, 2024. We are located just outside the main gates of Lake Perry. Lake Perry is a private, gated, lake community that is only accessible by lot owners and their guests. Lake Perry Campground offers 17 full hookup sites consisting of public water, 70 amp electric, and public sewer. 9 sites are pull through lots that are 25' wide x 35' long, and 8 back-in lots ranging from 25-60' wide and 30-100' long. Two buddy lots (camper & tent) are available as well. We also have 1 tent lot with 20 amp electric and water.
Completed in August 2025, is a 30' x 50' pavilion with restrooms (2 toilets) and (1) floor to ceiling tile shower in each restroom. A tankless hot water heater was installed for endless hot water. A seasonal bar & grill operates on the weekends and sometimes more serving canned beer, mixed drinks, premium wines, and adult slushy drinks such as the nearly famous Perrywacker. There is Starlink wifi and an ice vending machine on-site 24/7. Also available late winter/early spring 2026 is a 400 square foot studio cabin featuring a 12x16 deck, bedroom, full kitchen, full bath, and a kitchenette/bar. (Sleeps 4)
We are 5 miles from Mark Twain national Forest, as well as multiple conservation areas with creek access. Several wineries are nearby through scenic backroads. (Charleville, Twin Oaks, Sand Creek). Bring your SXS's for days of backroad riding that spans 4 counties (Perry, Ste Genevieve, Madison, and Bollinger). Currently a working farm, we have 2 high tunnels on the property behind the house, and our original market garden.
Across the creek we are finishing up our 5 acre agroforestry planting. 3 acres of elderberries and 2 acres of blackberries.

The farm is located approximately 2 hours south of St. Louis.

Big Creek RV Park/Arcadia Meadow Campground, LLC has 63 spacious, well-maintained sites (21 are pull-throughs), all with full hookups. Some of our amenities include swimming pool, walking trails, petting zoo, seasonal events, wood for your fire, propane, ice, and campground store. We are located near the most popular attractions in Missouri: Johnson’s Shut-Ins State Park, Elephant Rocks State Park, Taum Sauk Mountain State Park, Fort Davidson State Historic Site, St. Joe State Park, and the Black River. Less than 2 hours south of St. Louis, MO, Arcadia Meadow Campground, LLC is not far from historical landmarks in Ironton, Caledonia, and Farmington.

My partner and I needed a spot close to the Shut Ins & Elephant Rock park (about 20-25 minute drive) when all of the other campgrounds were full and this was the perfect spot. Bill’s land is beautiful, very peaceful, and well maintained. Little brushy creek was so gorgeous running right by our camp spot, it added the most perfect scenery to our site. We will definitely be back to visit Bill & his wonderful campground.

my partner and I stayed at campsite 1 and it was absolutely stunning! the site itself was very spacious which gave us a lot of wiggle room to set up. the creek is a short 10ft away or so. it’s filled with fish, crayfish, water bugs, and other fauna. the host, bill, was such a sweet person. he greeted us when we arrived and showed us around his property. we had a great conversation and although he was off the property, he told us to message him if we needed anything. the firewood bundle was very generous. I assumed it would be maybe 7 or 8 pieces, but it was closer to 25-30 pieces which he covered with a tarp to prevent the wood from getting wet. overall, the entire property was beautiful and clean, and bill was incredibly nice.

We stayed in one of the primitive camp sites and had an absolutely wonderful time! It truly felt like a luxury camp ground, the bathhouse was so well appointed and sparklingly clean with great shower products! The coffee and snacks were a great addition as well. If you’re looking for a beautiful place to camp with gracious hosts and beautiful bathrooms this is the place!

Weekend Trip to Hummingbird Hollow Outdoors
We loved the Sir Quincy yurt experience . Made core memories with our kids and we would
Love to come back . Susan brought by firewood and clean towels . All ages slept well ( 6 years old , 3 years old, and 1 years old ) . Friendly visits from dogs and cats and pigs to the campsite made our day. Then walks to feed the goats and horses carrots , exploring the beautiful creek . Other wildlife seen beyond the sanctuary farm animals : large pelleated woodpeckers , hummingbirds , baby snapping turtles , tadpoles , many wild flowers , butterflies , flocks of barn swallows , large black snake ( my sons favorite ) , toads , frogs , turkey vultures .
My daughter lovingly refers to the barn as the “ unicorn house “ and she is three years old and loved all the unicorns , especially the brown pony unicorn . The donkeys all coming over in a group for carrots , the baby pigs , twin very new baby goats , and the largest mama pig walking by every morning where othe highlights on the farm .
Never had a keurig in a yurt before and also loved making everybody hot cocoa in the yurt on chilly mornings . Thank you for the hot cocoa pods .

We absolutely loved camping here! We got caught in a rain storm with our 18 month old and our tent was soaked along with most of our clothing. Susan offered to throw our laundry in the dryer so we wouldn’t have to run it to town.
We spent most of our time at the creek and the horses who wander the property are so sweet. We would definitely return.

This place is a magical sanctuary that heals the heart and soul! This place became very special to my heart during our stay because of the scenery, the Host (Harless aka Harley) and how peaceful it is there! Harley is so friendly, kind, and caring and we are so grateful that we made a new dear friend! He answered all of our questions, gave great area recommendations, and even made sure we had plenty of fire wood! He has great restaurant recommendations should you choose to make that short 15 minute drive into town! We only we in for one meal. Harley invited us to Northtown Tavern for a crawfish boil while we were there and the crawfish boil and the pizza did not disappoint! It was delicious! But what made it really special was the people and the atmosphere! This was an experience for the books and we will be back for years to come! My husband, daughter, myself, our 2 dogs and cat stayed at site 10 and we fit comfortably! The camp site and the location was perfect! There is constant running water sounds and you are right on the Castor River! The shut ins were breathtaking! We cant wait to go back!

Weekend Trip to Sinking Creek Ranch RVs & Glamping
Glamping at in the Dogwood Den tent at Sinking Creek was amazing!! Inside we were greeted with a simple luxury and softness. But once we stepped outside, it was truly camping at its finest. It was a perfect, secluded, beautiful campsite. Located on gorgeous property surrounded by forest and pastures. Every little detail made it feel so special. Highly recommend Sinking Creek Ranch! And Dogwood Den was just perfect.

Our family of 4 and 2 dogs tent camped the peninsula spot. It's a small space that harbors a lot of ticks, but I still highly recommend it! The lake is gorgeous, and we could fish and swim right from our campsite. We also rented a canoe to paddle around the lake. There is a lot of sun in this spot, so I imagine in summer we'd need a canopy over the picnic table. It rained the last night we were there, and the red clay mud was a drag to clean up camp in, but we will still be going back.
We drove up the hill to check out primitive campsites 2-5, and those are really private and seem like great spots. The only downside with those is that you're not on the water, and you'd need a truck or SUV to access.
Overall, we had a great trip and will be back this summer for more!

Bill’s land is truly a gift to nurture the soul immersed in wilderness and the peaceful sounds of nature. It is surrounded by Mark Twain National Forest but close to main roads and easy to locate. As a solo traveler, I felt comfortable and completely safe. The tent sites are generously sized, carefully maintained and designed for privacy. Disconnected from technology (ya’ll no cell reception…), I camped for 5 days next to a lovely stream that lulled me to sleep each night (site#1) and, with no other guests, enjoyed the solitude in wandering the entire property each day. Amenities include a fire pit, picnic table, grill (including a grate scraper!), a large rack of firewood, clean outhouse and a convenient outdoor HOT shower! This was a huge perk after hiking all day at several state parks located in reasonable proximity to Bill’s beautiful property. I particularly enjoyed hiking Johnson Shut-In State Park. The property also boasts a lovely pond complete with a swimming deck and beautiful sunsets. Bill is a kind, personable and thoughtful host. His passion for delivering a one-of-a-kind wilderness experience is evident in all the details of this beautifully maintained landscape. Thanks Bill for a truly memorable stay.

It was a great experience camping at a farm. First time doing that for me. It was a great experience. They have a nice community kitchen where I could chat with other campers. That kitchen had some decaf coffee. I didn't bring any and I thought that was a nice touch. There's a nice pond and a bench for sitting and drinking coffee in the morning, too.

It was a super fun stay! The animals were awesome and the camp was lit up so cute at night. A group of us gals were driving to Texas and wanted a place to stay overnight on the way there and back. We got to stay one night at sir Quincy tent on our way down and then on the way back up she offered us to stay in the lady Asher tent and that one we liked the best! It had a private trail to a composter toilet and shower (could have used better directions on how to operate the shower, couldn’t seem to get the water to work) we were only there for one night each so it wasn’t a big deal. Susan was very timely with her responses to messages so I’m sure she would have helped us if we asked about the shower. She told us to just reach out if we needed anything! The dishes and an appliances could have been a little cleaner but over all it was a very enjoyable stay and 10/10 would come back again! Do recommend!
