Camp or plug the RV in at the site of a remote, historical home with a peaceful view of the valley. Amenities include a fire-ring, hot tub, mountain bikes and lawn games. Renting and occupying the 3 bedroom, 2 bath circa 1800 early American log home is optional. Additionally, guests have access to a private creek for added relaxation. For a fee, tours of the 1800 American log cabin and a 1790 French log cabin may be arranged through the host.The site is a remote early American log residence that provides ample lawn space for a multiple tents or a camper (30amp electric) in the rear of the property. Exterior amenities include covered dining/sitting area, 6 person hot tub, fire-pit, lawn games, and two mountain bikes. Additionally, the guests may access a private creek for added relaxation. Guests who wish to use the residence may do so by contacting the host and paying for a short term rental. The residence includes three bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, and utility room with washer and dryer. The residence is fully furnished with two king-size beds, one queen size bed, and a full pullout couch. Two gas fireplaces are located in the living room and dining room and are operational during the cooler months of the year.

Curt’s Cabin

We really enjoyed camping on the sandbar near the creek at Curt’s Cabin! My son and I went for an overnight getaway. The cabin was already being rented so we were offered that as an alternative. We visited Ste Genevieve on the way there from St Louis. The spot was quiet and really pretty and not too far off the highway. It was a bit sunny, but since we got there later in the afternoon it wasn’t too bad. There were tables and chairs and a little fire pit already there for us to use which was nice.
