Generally speaking, campgrounds closest to the larger cities of St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, and Columbia are most likely to have wifi, particularly if you camp at a developed RV park. In small towns and rural areas, wifi—as well as cell signal—may be limited, especially in the hills and hollers of the Ozarks Mountains. Even still, the Missouri state park system has worked over the years to offer wifi access at campgrounds, even if it doesn't reach every site or cabin. Hosts are happy to take questions before, during, or after your stay. Narrative about Selby Farm: Selbys have lived on this farm since 1990. Doug and Brenda are retired from teaching at nearby public schools. Our Farm is now dedicated to boarding retired horses for their owners. We practice rotational grazing for the health of the horses and the health of our pastures. The horses live in a herd as they would in the wild. Basically, they are hanging out with their friends! They also get regular care and feed and so are VERY happy. You will see and probably interact with the horses if you wish. They are guaranteed to come closer if you have treats like carrots and apples slices. Our quiet county road used to be the main road along the river. A hundred years ago it was called "Shanty Road". The shacks that were along it housed workers that harvested food from farms in the river bottom. The only evidence of those shacks now is perrenial flowers growing in unusual places. The area is inhabited by professionals working in nearby towns and cities. In fact there are only five homes along our 1.5 mile section of Copps Chapel Road. The Missouri River is on the far side of the bottoms now, but has been very close historically. There is also a large spring flowing from a cave nearby. These river hills are composed of soils blown in from the end of the last ice age. Being near the river, erosion has cut down the surrounding area making the scenic topography associated with Missouri River valleys and river hills.

Earth, Wind and Solar Farm is 5 acres. You can book multiple sites if you want to stay as a group. We do our best to allow 1 reservation to stay on site at a time. If only 1 site is requested the others are then blocked to allow guests privacy during their stay. If another person requests to stay and it is booked, we will check with the current reservation for approval. We also allow groups to book and camp together if needed (use both rv pads, or tent camp). We do offer 50amp and 30amp power options (2 different RV parking sites). Some people have commented that our driveway entrance seems narrow for larger rigs (Class A's and 5th wheels). We've had 53' long rigs (5th wheels)and 45' (Class A's) pull in and get parked with no issues. You will need to be able to back into a spot for either 50a or 30a service. We do have additional parking available for extra vehicles. If you have a tow vehicle/toad, you will need to detach prior to arrival. There are 2 trucks stops less than 5 miles away (TA and Pilot) or there is a park with a large parking area off of David Hoekel Parkway you can utilize. We do offer 20amp power and extension cord for tent campers (either in our tent or can be used in your own tent. Free cold showers available. A bundle of firewood is now included for use in provided fire pits in needed/requested. Outdoor Hot showers available at a charge of $5/person. This includes the use of propane and a portable hot water heater. Wi-Fi is available during your stay. Will provide network name and password in confirmation email. 3 firepits are available for use (firewood can be purchased). Easy access to our place via Hwy 70 (take the David Hoekel Parkway Exit). We are 5 miles from Wentzville which offers a Walmart, Target, Sams Club, Lowes, Home Depot, multiple grocery stores, Rural King, Charlies and multiple restaurants. We have a stocked pond with catfish, bluegill, sunfish, largemouth bass, black crappie, carp and turtles. There is a Windmill that aerates the pond (do not climb on it). You can fish the pond must practice CPR (catch photo release). Or you can feed the pond fish & feed out chickens. We will provide the fish food and chicken treats. There is plenty of wildlife (deer, fox, raccoons, armadillo's, birds, etc.). Deer will walk by the pond and driveway a couple of times a day. We also have a group of free-range chickens and French guineas (eggs may be available during your stay). There are bike trails in the area, paved roads you can ride on to explore, wineries nearby, a petting zoo and pumpkin patch. Things to do nearby: Horsehoe Hall of Fame, Big Joels Safari, Multiple wineries in Wright City/Augusta/Defiance, Wacky Warriors Paintball, Busch Wildlife, Katy Trail, Pumpkin Patches and so much more.

Lake Perry Campground was established in July, 2024. We are located just outside the main gates of Lake Perry. Lake Perry is a private, gated, lake community that is only accessible by lot owners and their guests. Lake Perry Campground offers 17 full hookup sites consisting of public water, 70 amp electric, and public sewer. 9 sites are pull through lots that are 25' wide x 35' long, and 8 back-in lots ranging from 25-60' wide and 30-100' long. Two buddy lots (camper & tent) are available as well. We also have 1 tent lot with 20 amp electric and water. Completed in August 2025, is a 30' x 50' pavilion with restrooms (2 toilets) and (1) floor to ceiling tile shower in each restroom. A tankless hot water heater was installed for endless hot water. A seasonal bar & grill operates on the weekends and sometimes more serving canned beer, mixed drinks, premium wines, and adult slushy drinks such as the nearly famous Perrywacker. There is Starlink wifi and an ice vending machine on-site 24/7. Also available late winter/early spring 2026 is a 400 square foot studio cabin featuring a 12x16 deck, bedroom, full kitchen, full bath, and a kitchenette/bar. (Sleeps 4) We are 5 miles from Mark Twain national Forest, as well as multiple conservation areas with creek access. Several wineries are nearby through scenic backroads. (Charleville, Twin Oaks, Sand Creek). Bring your SXS's for days of backroad riding that spans 4 counties (Perry, Ste Genevieve, Madison, and Bollinger). We loved our 3 night stay at 38 Special! The grounds were pristine! The facilities featured 6 clean, individual shower/bathrooms with laundry machines in the building as well. The outdoor grilling area was spot on and was right next to the gorgeous infinity pool that overlooked the lake. Swim beach was soft sand and had a great platform to jump off of. You could also rent boat slips at a very reasonable price! Sarah was an excellent host and we will be back again!

I was invited 4 years ago and finally made it. I desperately needed time to myself (alone) to reset and to find peace. Dockley Ranch is a sanctuary, a place to just sit still and feel the natural beauty of this planet. I had everything I could need including coffee. Instructions were clear. I was welcomed by employees who gave a tour of my cabin and explained how every thing worked including a friendly visit from the Alpaca. Recommendation. Bring bug spray for the trail. I brought some amazon boxes to use as a fire starter. Bring flip flops for the shower or to have in hand to enjoy the waterfall. Follow their driving directions and drive slow. Enjoy the views. We really enjoyed staying in the Lady Asha yurt! They provided everything we needed. We enjoyed brewing our coffee, the bath house and going out to see the animals, as well as walking the creek trail. Chamomile grows all over there, lots of orb weavers, humming birds and it’s all very kids friendly. I wish we could have stayed longer 😭

Unfortunately we picked a very rainy wet time to camp here but with that said we never had any worries about getting stuck anywhere we had to get to!!! Amanda’s son met us upon arrival and was very sweet to help guide us into our spot! While we never meet Amanda face to face she was very good about communication and answering any of our questions quickly! We were mainly only there to sleep as we were away visiting family during the day. This spot worked out perfect for our needs!!

Plenty of room and dry despite rain (no puddles and good irrigation). Store had plenty and location was quiet at night despite being an easy trip to town to enjoy a restaurant or what have you.

Great place if you like quiet nights. Camp sites are large so you can set up your camp the way you like it. Close to town if you need anything or just to go out to eat. Also I ride a motorcycle and we loved to backroads.

Very friendly host. I booked for a same day stay and Kirk approved the reservation. He met me upon arrival with a bottle of water. Tent sites were flat and debris free. The dirt was perfect for tent stakes. The pond was very peaceful and the fruit and coffee in the morning was perfect.

My family and I had an amazing time on Sarah’s property! It was the first time my kiddos have tent camped and core memories were made! The animals that followed us from the barn to our campsite were all of our favorites! Next best thing was the private creek access within just feet of the campsite! Rebecca’s corner was our site! 10/10 recommend and WILL be back!!

Weekend Trip to PeaceTree Farms

Quiet and quaint it’s perfect for a relaxing and rejuvenating get away. The farms name is perfect, bc it really is so peaceful. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the cabin and absolutely loved exploring the farm. Seeing and hearing all the wildlife and what nature has to offer was the highlight of our trip. Katie and her husband are incredibly nice and accommodating anything you may need. The cabin was clean and neat and seriously so perfect for a solo or couples get away!

Weekend Trip to Sinking Creek Ranch RVs & Glamping

My husband and I loved glamping at this property. The glamping tent was beautiful and had everything we needed. Everything was clean and comfortable. My husband raved about how comfortable the bed was. The AC unit kept it cool and comfortable. We enjoyed the swimming pool down by the creek and the fire pit by the tent. The shower house is nice and clean. I loved not having Wi-Fi with the exception of the shower house so you can check in. We went to dinner at Echo Bluff, which was only about 45 minutes away and had a lovely dinner. It was a perfect anniversary getaway.
