Generally speaking, campgrounds closest to the larger cities of St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, and Columbia are most likely to have wifi, particularly if you camp at a developed RV park. In small towns and rural areas, wifi—as well as cell signal—may be limited, especially in the hills and hollers of the Ozarks Mountains. Hosts are happy to take questions before, during, or after your stay. Narrative about Selby Farm: Selbys have lived on this farm since 1990. Doug and Brenda are retired from teaching at nearby public schools. Our Farm is now dedicated to boarding retired horses for their owners. We practice rotational grazing for the health of the horses and the health of our pastures. The horses live in a herd as they would in the wild. Basically, they are hanging out with their friends! They also get regular care and feed and so are VERY happy. You will see and probably interact with the horses if you wish. They are guaranteed to come closer if you have treats like carrots and apples slices. Our quiet county road used to be the main road along the river. A hundred years ago it was called "Shanty Road". The shacks that were along it housed workers that harvested food from farms in the river bottom. The only evidence of those shacks now is perrenial flowers growing in unusual places. The area is inhabited by professionals working in nearby towns and cities. In fact there are only five homes along our 1.5 mile section of Copps Chapel Road. The Missouri River is on the far side of the bottoms now, but has been very close historically. There is also a large spring flowing from a cave nearby. These river hills are composed of soils blown in from the end of the last ice age. Being near the river, erosion has cut down the surrounding area making the scenic topography associated with Missouri River valleys and river hills.

A quiet country retreat nestled in the picturesque rural outskirts of Higginsville, Missouri. Our place consists of three RV sites with water and electric hookups, two camping sites and one on-site travel trailer for rent. Wifi is available at all sites, except for Site 3. Green Acres at Red Brick Farm is located just 50 miles east of Kansas City off of I-70 at Exit 49. Once you are off of I-70 your drive is less than 8 minutes away on all blacktop roads. Site 2 is on gravel with 30 amp hookup and water, preferably best for RV’s and trailers 25’ and under. Site 1 and Site 3 are on gravel with a 20/30/50 amp hookup and water, best suited for larger RV’s and trailers. You may choose your site location, but due to the small number of sites we have we may have to alter your choice. This is so we can accommodate our guests in the best way possible, depending on the size of each rig. If you are towing a vehicle or pulling a trailer your total length should be 55’ or under. We will not accept Triple Axels. Site 4 and site 5 are for tents, pop ups, very tiny trailers and are in flexible locations. A 20 amp standard outlet can be provided for site 4 and site 5. For your use is a shower, toilet, and bathroom sink in our farmhouse basement. Please arrive before dusk, so you don’t disturb other campers. Site 6 Is the on-site travel trailer, ‘Ain’t She Cute’. No Pets are allowed when reserving ‘Ain’t She Cute’. The vintage style travel trailer is completely renovated and decorated with collectibles and antiques and is available for booking. It is furnished with a queen size bed, tiny kitchen, TV, wifi, and full size, not trailer size, bathroom. The trailer is for 2 guests, but an additional guest may sleep on the daybed, preferably a child or small adult. We live onsite in our 1920’s Prairie Style home which is also Red Brick Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast with three Guest Rooms available for booking. Look us up online. At your disposal, is the use of our outdoor furniture, a large yard to walk around in, a fire pit, a BBQ grill, and even a tire swing. Our restaurant, Red Shanty Cafe and BBQ, is located in the town of Higginsville, about 5 miles from Red Brick Farmhouse. Red Shanty Cafe is open Weds and Thurs, 11am - 8 pm and Fri and Sat, 11am - 9pm.

If only 1 site is requested the others are then blocked to allow guests privacy during their stay. If another person requests to stay and it is booked, we will check with the current reservation for approval. We also allow groups to book and camp together if needed (use both rv pads, or tent camp). We do offer 50amp and 30amp power options (2 different RV parking sites). Some people have commented that our driveway entrance seems narrow for larger rigs (Class A's and 5th wheels). We've had 53' long rigs (5th wheels)and 45' (Class A's) pull in and get parked with no issues. You will need to be able to back into a spot for either 50a or 30a service. We do have additional parking available for extra vehicles. If you have a tow vehicle/toad, you will need to detach prior to arrival. There are 2 trucks stops less than 5 miles away (TA and Pilot) or there is a park with a large parking area off of David Hoekel Parkway you can utilize. We do offer 20amp power and extension cord for tent campers (either in our tent or can be used in your own tent. Free cold showers available. A bundle of firewood is now included for use in provided fire pits in needed/requested. Outdoor Hot showers available at a charge of $5/person. This includes the use of propane and a portable hot water heater. Wi-Fi is available during your stay. Will provide network name and password in confirmation email. 3 firepits are available for use (firewood can be purchased). Easy access to our place via Hwy 70 (take the David Hoekel Parkway Exit). We are 5 miles from Wentzville which offers a Walmart, Target, Sams Club, Lowes, Home Depot, multiple grocery stores, Rural King, Charlies and multiple restaurants. We have a stocked pond with catfish, bluegill, sunfish, largemouth bass, black crappie, carp and turtles. There is a Windmill that aerates the pond (do not climb on it). You can fish the pond must practice CPR (catch photo release). Or you can feed the pond fish & feed out chickens. We will provide the fish food and chicken treats. There is plenty of wildlife (deer, fox, raccoons, armadillo's, birds, etc.). Deer will walk by the pond and driveway a couple of times a day. We also have a group of free-range chickens and French guineas (eggs may be available during your stay). There are bike trails in the area, paved roads you can ride on to explore, wineries nearby, a petting zoo and pumpkin patch. Things to do nearby: Horsehoe Hall of Fame, Big Joels Safari, Multiple wineries in Wright City/Augusta/Defiance, Wacky Warriors Paintball, Busch Wildlife, Katy Trail, Pumpkin Patches and so much more.

Beautiful and peaceful property, loved the lake, animals and pickleball court! Owners are very friendly and helpful. We definitely plan on returning.

Weekend Trip to D'Ranch at Clearwater

The cabin was so cozy and peaceful. It is in a beautiful spot and I loved taking an early morning kayak paddle. The farm is beautiful. I wish I could have stayed longer. Tracey is an amazing host, friendly and gracious. I made a mistake booking and she was so kind and patient helping me sort it out. She really goes above and beyond making sure everything is clean and her guests have everything they need.

Sandy was kind and experienced in hosting and hospitality. The tent sites had grass, and we were grateful for toilets, sinks, and showers. The general store was also well stocked and ice was available.

Place was awesome, the kids really enjoyed it! The creek was a great place to take the family to swim, met some families, locals and animals lol. It was extremely hot during our stay (mid August 2026) but as soon as the sun went behind the trees it cooled off so quick. Sleeping was peaceful as can be, the shower/bathrooms/only place for signal(wifi, I actually loved the no phones or TV or tablets ect. )

Luke's farm is a sweet spot with. Back yard and small farm setting. It's safe clean and convenient with gas stations, fast food and grocery stores right up the street. We felt like was at home! Nice fire pit to cook on and a clean porter potty! Luke is very responsive and helpful! This s safe place for children a my and pets!!! We will most definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay! The animals were friendly and sweet and fun to watch, and the site was charming and peaceful (outside of the occasional animal calls - though they just added the charm 😊). Susan was also very thoughtful in providing fans to help us beat the heat - as we happened to stay during a heat advisory - and was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Overall, it was a much-needed pleasant retreat for us after a difficult few months, for which we are grateful.

Had just bought a new AWD SUV... was happy to have it on the gravel roads going in as it had rained and got muddy.. also was good for crossing the creek to enter the glamping area, which was a bit intimidating at 1st but was just fine after the initial pass. As far as the camp itself.. as described entering.. foot bridge with no railing to enter which was a bit tricky to maneuver with my wagon but it was managble. The tent was well decorated and well appointed. Complimentary water for the keurig and fire starter were some nice touches. With several other tents in a valley but plenty of privacy between the tents. Went for the perseid meteor shower and the views from the open field were spectacular! Bath house super clean and well appointed also. Just wish there was perhaps a portable toilet closer to the tents. Cell service only at bath house. Wonderful stay and great place to unplug!

We loved our stay at 38 special! Great location and the sites and facilities are SOOOO nice. Clean and level. The table, chairs, and Solo stove are high quality nice furniture. Most sites are right on the water with others just feet away so the view is always good. We really enjoyed the swim beach and dock and the pool is great. Everyone there is super nice as well. We are looking forward to going back!

One amazing experience for us! Susan’s land is one heck of a farm. Low stress and positive vibes would be a great credo. The Sir Quincy Yurt was comfortable and well placed in the woods. I slept so good and wish we had stayed 2 or more nights. Thank you for a great stay!

If I could do 6/5 stars I would. Katie is an excellent host and property is pure paradise if you’re looking for somewhere to slow down, fish, make a fire, in privacy.
