Hawks Bluff Farm Campground

This site is unique in that it is a farm with more than 400 acres. The campground has nice hot showers and a community kitchen. If you loke rocks, Jeremy can show you where to collect quartz, agate and other minerals. Great stay.

This is an extremely family-friendly campground. The majority of folks we saw had kids with them of all ages. The vibe was very free spirited and I loved all the flow toys at night. Festival-goers or burners with kids would feel right at home here. There were lots of things for our family to do, including baby goats, cute cats and dogs, friendly farm animals, aerial swings set up in a covered pavilion, lakeside toys and a special kids workshop (extra charge). The bell tent was perfect for our family of four (two adults and two toddlers). Note that the two box fans take up two spots on the power strip, leaving just one free plug for electronics. We didn't need a pack and play but it would likely be a tight squeeze to fit one in. Also, most sites don't have a picnic table. The communal kitchen was a fantastic amenity. Having a large sink, stove, and pots and pans to cook with helped simplify packing on our end. There was plenty of table, fridge and freezer space. It also provided a nice shaded gathering place for everyone staying on the property. There were four compost toilets. The electric lights weren't working during our stay so be sure to bring a flashlight at night. The pump sinks and soap outside ran out on Saturday, but I messaged Elizabeth the owner and it was taken care of promptly. We really enjoyed our time here and plan to return to this special campsite!

My second time back and i absolutely enjoyed it! The tents are amazing the hospitality is amazing and of course the rocks are amazing! If you ever contemplate coming here just do it! You won’t regret it! Absolutely amazing experience and I just love the owner she’s amazing. Thank you Elizabeth!

It was relaxing and peaceful. I camped in my 20 foot camper. Showers and volt toilets clean. The only complaint is a full portable holding tank sitting between my site and the next. And no one was on the site🤷‍♀️ Rock hunting was cool. I loved hearing the donkey! Thanks Elizabeth. I would return

Such a lovely place host was super sweet and the farm animals are so cute. We enjoyed a lot it was our first time camping we had a lot of fun. Don't forget to take your hiking boots with you land over there is dampy.

I did enjoy my stay at Hawks Bluff. The trail down to the creek is great and theres so many cool rocks and wildlife around. Especially if you go further up the creek! I do have a couple small issues which I feel others should be aware of. The site I booked was the “RV site with expansive views” and I have no complaints about the views, it’s quite nice especially if you go outside at night and look at the stars. The issue I have is this was advertised as a pull-through site, and it was not. This was what I would consider a back-in or park and back up spot. I could not pull through which meant I had to unhook my car from my tow dolly and the tow dolly itself which I did not plan on doing. Another thing is the dogs that roam the farm. I was told they were sweet but every time I took my dog out (a very sweet senior boxer who is a big dog, about 100lbs and very friendly with other dogs) I would get swarmed by three dogs who are all individually well over the weight of my dog. None of the dogs would come anywhere near my dog despite him not barking and displaying friendly behavior. One of them even followed us around growling the entire time which made walks and potty breaks difficult. The review is as it says, mixed feelings. Overall I did enjoy my stay, it was nice to escape into the woods but those were a couple things that really stuck out to me over the course of my stay. Great for tents and smaller rigs, but if your driving something big and have pets, keep this in mind.

Tranquil camping

I camped with an RV. The property was nice and quiet. I really enjoyed sitting outside in the woods. There is a beautiful creek on the property you can walk to. When we went, we had the entire creek area to ourselves. If you are a rock hound, there are plenty of rocks to be found on the beach area.

Great host, peace and quit

RV Site with Farm Views

Elizabeth made every effort take my stay stress free. I extended my stay twice Jeremy was helpful upon my arrival and allowed me to barrow a water hose because mine was not long enough Baby goats, cows and a horse on the farm. And the rocks found here were amazing. If my travels bring me this way again I would camp here again.

I loved hammock camping at Hawks Bluff! Elizabeth is so kind and the whole farm is so peaceful. Caught plenty of fish in their catch and release pond and found some quartz during my stay.

Sweet & Peaceful Working Farm

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Elizabeth was gracious and amazing and we got to feed the baby goats. We stayed 5 days with 30A/50A and water on the gravel space. Nice shaded lots but were able to find open space for Starlink Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Camping at the Bluff!

My boyfriend and I visited Hawk's Bluff over Memorial Day weekend and loved it so much that we extended our stay by an extra day! The property is absolutely beautiful, with plenty of friendly animals roaming around, including dogs, cats, and goats. We enjoyed hiking one of the scenic trails and were excitdd to find a few amazing crystals and stones along the way. Everything we needed was provided, and the hospitality was outstanding. Jeremy was especially helpful, he welcomed us warmly and brought us firewood during our stay. We had a wonderful experience and can't wait to come back!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hawks Bluff. Elizabeth was very friendly and an excellent host. The animals were a special treat to visit with and the gift/rock shop was stocked with some awesome specimens of rocks and minerals. The amount of collectable druse and agate found here is mind blowing! We definitely reccomend checking it out. I know we will be back on a future visit soon.

We had a wonderful time! Very peaceful. Elizabeth allowed me to borrow a mattress because I forgot the pump to mine. She is very kind and accommodating. My kids absolutely love the creek and would stay all day if I let them. We caught some fish in the pond and just had a great weekend!

It was a camping spot is pretty much all I can say. It is a farm they threw a few electric and water in. Nothing special. No signs to mark it. And run by the least friendly people I have met. It was like pulling teeth to even get them to wave as you passed by. But there were a few dogs and 2 goats running around It was OK but not a place that I would seek out again. But it will do if nothing else is available.

I enjoyed the camp! There were options on where to stay. The owner stopped by to tell me about the creek and rocks. Also told me about the ticks. THE TICKS! Man that’s why i say it was mixed feelings. I don’t think i have stayed somewhere with so many. I know it’s not something they can do about it but definitely make sure you prep your gear and spray yourself multiple times along with hourly checks to make sure non got on you. The people were friendly, the creek was a trek away but once we got there it is really nice. Clean. Cool water. The compost toilet was a new thing for me but it was clean. We also utilized the community kitchen area and they had pots, pans and things there you would need to cook if you didn’t bring your own set up. All in all, yes i would recommend just make sure you bring really good tick spray.

RV Site with Farm Views

This was my first time camping on a farm. It was awesome! I wish I could've stayed one more day. I was there for three. There are a great variety of campsites, clean and well-maintained. I enjoyed meeting other campers at a communal outdoor kitchen. I spent my mornings at the pond where my dog had the best day of her life.

The property is great with lots of rock hunting opportunity. loved that they had composting toilets and showers and the kitchen was fabulous. There were a few things that made it hard to navigate. it seemed like it wasn't too far out of town but we just kept driving forever to get to it. once getting there the directions said to check in at a specific spot that wasn't where we checked in. the spot that actually was the check in at the time was at the outdoor kitchen, but if you didn't know that it was hard to tell because there were a bunch of people sitting around there with big barking dogs and no trespassing signs on the building. Jeremy was very accommodating, brought out ice and wood to our campsite, even made a breakfast cake the next morning... we were told we could set up anywhere we found to set up but it was all mostly overgrown and almost crowded by the time we showed up 30 minutes after check in. we found a spot pretty deep in the woods but it also was overgrown, the road was pretty rutted up, and the "campsite" we had was on a hill and we had issues with almost everything we tried to set out.
