Our cabins are the Hippie Trailer, which is located near the west woods near the Fairy Forest. Then the Bunkhouse just past the big barn on the north end of the property. The lodge, where the Airbnb and pool are is centrally located on the land. We rent out the lower level guest quarters for non-campers. We have a Hobbit Hut near the Frog Pond, a Boho Bus near the entry way and several Vardos (gypsy wagons). For our tent campers there are tent sites in the Eastfield, including the Movie set location of the DM Cabin, and for diehard campers the beauty of primitive pack-in/pack-out camping of Freedom Field is a joy! Feel the energy of the sacred land.

Narrative about Selby Farm:
Selbys have lived on this farm since 1990. Doug and Brenda are retired from teaching at nearby public schools. Our Farm is now dedicated to boarding retired horses for their owners.
We practice rotational grazing for the health of the horses and the health of our pastures. The horses live in a herd as they would in the wild. Basically, they are hanging out with their friends! They also get regular care and feed and so are VERY happy. You will see and probably interact with the horses if you wish. They are guaranteed to come closer if you have treats like carrots and apples slices.
Our quiet county road used to be the main road along the river. A hundred years ago it was called "Shanty Road". The shacks that were along it housed workers that harvested food from farms in the river bottom. The only evidence of those shacks now is perrenial flowers growing in unusual places. The area is inhabited by professionals working in nearby towns and cities. In fact there are only five homes along our 1.5 mile section of Copps Chapel Road.
The native Americans who used this area did so because of the great diversity of wildlife and availability of water. Also the view is amazing in all directions. Was using this ridge top encampment for security, or just because the view is so satisfying?
The Missouri River is on the far side of the bottoms now, but has been very close historically. There is also a large spring flowing from a cave nearby. These river hills are composed of soils blown in from the end of the last ice age. Being near the river, erosion has cut down the surrounding area making the scenic topography associated with Missouri River valleys and river hills.

Sunset Mountain is an exclusive reservation only 18+ clothing optional/nudist campground located on my working cattle farm. We are not a place for partying or any sexual activity or PDA. We are a place to relax and enjoy nature. (Please do not drive up to our gate and try to get in. Please make a reservation in advance.) Although we cater to adults only we follow TNSF and AANR guidelines for social nude recreation. If you are not familiar with TNSF or AANR you can do a quick internet search and see some basic guidelines for social nude recreation. Sunset Mountain does typically operate as a blind service venue meaning we do business online and we and or our maintenance team may not be seen during your stay. We have a good team in place to help your stay be enjoyable please just understand we don’t operate like some of the nudist clubs you may be used to.
Sunset Mountain is a nice quiet place to relax and work on your tan. We have RV sites, tent camping areas and overlanding sites. As lodging options we have a converted bus and shipping container. The campground has a bathroom facility with indoor shower and seasonal outdoor showers. We have a hot tub and propane grill guests can use year round along with hiking trails in the summer and a swimming pool.
Sunset Mountain is near the Elk River in Noel Missouri and close to Northwest Arkansas where there are mountain biking trails, museums and many other activities. Sunset Mountain is listed on the Monarch Butterfly Waystation registry as well.
We are located 1.2 miles away from the Noel city park that has free Elk River access, 4 miles to Mt. Shira free Elk River access near Shady Beach and 5.2 miles to the free Elk River access in Pineville, MO near Shady Beach Pineville.

A quiet country retreat nestled in the picturesque rural outskirts of Higginsville, Missouri. Our place consists of three RV sites with water and electric hookups, two camping sites and one on-site travel trailer for rent. Wifi is available at all sites, except for Site 3. Green Acres at Red Brick Farm is located just 50 miles east of Kansas City off of I-70 at Exit 49. Once you are off of I-70 your drive is less than 8 minutes away on all blacktop roads.
Site 2 is on gravel with 30 amp hookup and water, preferably best for RV’s and trailers 25’ and under. Site 1 and Site 3 are on gravel with a 20/30/50 amp hookup and water, best suited for larger RV’s and trailers. You may choose your site location, but due to the small number of sites we have we may have to alter your choice. This is so we can accommodate our guests in the best way possible, depending on the size of each rig.
If you are towing a vehicle or pulling a trailer your total length should be 55’ or under. We will not accept Triple Axels. Site 4 and site 5 are for tents, pop ups, very tiny trailers and are in flexible locations. A 20 amp standard outlet can be provided for site 4 and site 5. For your use is a shower, toilet, and bathroom sink in our farmhouse basement. Please arrive before dusk, so you don’t disturb other campers.
Site 6 Is the on-site travel trailer, ‘Ain’t She Cute’. No Pets are allowed when reserving ‘Ain’t She Cute’. The vintage style travel trailer is completely renovated and decorated with collectibles and antiques and is available for booking. It is furnished with a queen size bed, tiny kitchen, TV, wifi, and full size, not trailer size, bathroom. The trailer is for 2 guests, but an additional guest may sleep on the daybed, preferably a child or small adult.
We live onsite in our 1920’s Prairie Style home which is also Red Brick Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast with three Guest Rooms available for booking. Look us up online.
At your disposal, is the use of our outdoor furniture, a large yard to walk around in, a fire pit, a BBQ grill, and even a tire swing.
Our restaurant, Red Shanty Cafe and BBQ, is located in the town of Higginsville, about 5 miles from Red Brick Farmhouse. Red Shanty Cafe is open Weds and Thurs, 11am - 8 pm and Fri and Sat, 11am - 9pm.

This land has been asking to be shared. First it was swings and little things for the grandchildren and their friends. Then the Cabin by the pond began to welcome visitors. Soon the steep slope anchored a Yurt with a wrap-around deck that puts you up in the trees. Our gathering spot by the creek became a camp site. Recently the grandkids' Bunk House found its way in. Our Retreat is 10 acres, narrow, but 1/4 mile deep, stretching down a steep wooded slope to a creek - and up the other side to the top of a bluff. It is only ten miles to Jefferson City but has a quiet and distant feel.

I took my 3 year old, and we loved it. The property is very beautiful, she really enjoyed seeing some peacocks. She got to play in a sand area off the lake. We didn't swim this time, but we will be more prepared next time with (she really wanted to jump on the trampoline that was in the lake)!

We loved tent camping on Kenny and Joan’s land with our dog! These are two of the most gracious hosts ever! They checked in with us daily to see if we needed anything and to remind us of the amenities. Kenny and Joan both were so kind and loved to tell stories about their land and all the wonderful animals that inhabit it. We were offered a different camp spot that was unaffected by the recent storms.

D'Ranch is a great place to stay. The property is beautiful and the hosts terrific. I stayed in the cabin with electric and really enjoyed it. It was clean and comfortable. I like that they have kayaks and a canoe to use to explore the lake.
Tracey is very accommodating, friendly and informative about the local area.
I have stayed there multiple times and each time it has been great.

My daughter and I visited over Memorial Day Weekend! The hosts are AMAZING! The grounds are gorgeous! They have great amenities for camping (loved being able to use the paddleboat). I would Highly recommend staying here! Also, the farm animals are such a fabulous addition to a camp spot!

Second time at D’Ranch! This trip I brought my grandson and Mom. We had so much fun!! Played in the water, looked for cool rocks, said hi to all the animals (several times), learned to fish and played endlessly with Allie “the wittle doggie.” She was the perfect match for my little guy. So much so that we missed out on the bonfire after an early bedtime but we could still see it from the tent! Tracey and Ted are the best. I think this might be our new annual ‘kick off summer’ trip. Excited to try out the canoe and kayak next.

We tent camped at site 2, which is closest to the creek. Hearing the water flowing throughout the night was heavenly and peaceful. We were able to get fresh potable water from a spigot on the property, and also fresh eggs, sausage, bug bracelets, charcoal, and other provisions are available in a small store (also on the farm.) The goats are adorable. It was nice waking up to the sound of the rooster crowing. Definitely enjoyed this stay and would bring people here.
There was a bird living in the porta potty who made a nest inside a roll of toilet paper sitting on the shelf and she was not happy with anyone using the bathroom, whether or not she was in there at the moment, lol.

We had a lovely night tent camping at the Maple Forrest Site. JQ is a great host and gave us detailed directions beforehand. I would say a 4WD vehicle is required to drive the 2-track road to this specific camp site! We had no problem getting there with a truck. Our dogs enjoyed being able to run around outside. It was a very peaceful site and was well maintained/mowed. Campfires were permitted and wood was provided which was very generous. Verizon and ATT users were both able to get phone reception just fine at the site. The woods were very beautiful!

Everything was beautiful! It felt like being far away from the city, especially the secluded sites. They had several options for activities, and I loved being so close to the goats and other animals. The treehouse sites looked so cool. 😊 I would definitely pay attention to the websites recommendations for what types of vehicles to use for the secluded sites, especially 1. Roads are loose rock mostly, and some are quite steep.

We came to check out the facility for our horse and it was fabulous! Everything we could ever want for his retirement days. The horses are all so obviously happy it touches a horse lovers heart! Doug and Brenda are wonderful people who we feel confident will provide the best possible care.

Weekend Trip to Hummingbird Hollow Outdoors
We loved the Sir Quincy yurt experience . Made core memories with our kids and we would
Love to come back . Susan brought by firewood and clean towels . All ages slept well ( 6 years old , 3 years old, and 1 years old ) . Friendly visits from dogs and cats and pigs to the campsite made our day. Then walks to feed the goats and horses carrots , exploring the beautiful creek . Other wildlife seen beyond the sanctuary farm animals : large pelleated woodpeckers , hummingbirds , baby snapping turtles , tadpoles , many wild flowers , butterflies , flocks of barn swallows , large black snake ( my sons favorite ) , toads , frogs , turkey vultures .
My daughter lovingly refers to the barn as the “ unicorn house “ and she is three years old and loved all the unicorns , especially the brown pony unicorn . The donkeys all coming over in a group for carrots , the baby pigs , twin very new baby goats , and the largest mama pig walking by every morning where othe highlights on the farm .
Never had a keurig in a yurt before and also loved making everybody hot cocoa in the yurt on chilly mornings . Thank you for the hot cocoa pods .

Beautiful, peaceful location. The kids loved seeing and petting the horses along with the opportunity for a hike with the dogs and a bike ride. Electric hook ups and potable water were great along with fire pits and picnic tables. It was a short drive from where we live but made us feel a little more secluded. The owners are fantastic. They checked in once or twice and couldn't be friendlier. We'll definitely be back.
PS- only toilet is a clean, well-kept port-a-potty but that didn't bother us in the least. Just an FYI for those wondering.

Where to go
North Missouri
Kansas City, Missouri’s largest city, is best known for its jazz scene and BBQ restaurants, but there are also plenty of natural attractions to explore in the north. Head to nearby Weston Bend State Park to camp along the Missouri River, or go biking and horseback riding along the multi-use trails of Crowder State Park. Over on the eastern state border, Wakonda State Park has six lakes to choose from, while the Mark Twain State Park has family campgrounds in the Salt River Hills.
Central Missouri
State capital Jefferson City lies at the heart of Missouri, and just to the north, Rock Bridge Memorial State Park provides tranquil camping amid a backdrop of natural caves, streams, and woodlands. Summer campers flock to the Lake of the Ozarks region, where the huge reservoir is fringed with sandy beaches, golf courses, and restaurants. If you tire of the Ozarks camping resorts, Bennett Spring State Park makes a worthy alternative, renowned for its trout fishing.
St Louis and Southeast Missouri
At the meeting point of the Mississippi and the Missouri Rivers, St Louis is home to one of Missouri’s most visited attractions, the Gateway Arch National Park. Nearby, hikers can enjoy full-amenity camping at Meramec River State Park, while Castlewood State Park is renowned for its mountain biking trails, and Sam A Baker State Park is one of the region’s most visited. Alternatively, escape to the wilderness of the Mark Twain National Forest, where you can choose between tent/RV sites, cabins, or dispersed camping in the woods.
Southwest Missouri
Bordered by Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, the southwest is Missouri’s wild frontier. Venture into the Mark Twain National Forest to enjoy backcountry camping in the wilderness, rev up your OHV and tackle the off-road trails of St Joe State Park, or fish for rainbow trout in the stocked waters of Roaring River State Park. Finally, don’t miss the hike to Grand Falls. The 163-foot wide waterfall is Missouri’s largest, and lies just outside of Joplin.
