Sunset Mountain is an exclusive reservation only 18+ clothing optional/nudist campground located on my working cattle farm. We are not a place for partying or any sexual activity or PDA. We are a place to relax and enjoy nature. (Please do not drive up to our gate and try to get in. Please make a reservation in advance.) Although we cater to adults only we follow TNSF and AANR guidelines for social nude recreation. If you are not familiar with TNSF or AANR you can do a quick internet search and see some basic guidelines for social nude recreation. Sunset Mountain does typically operate as a blind service venue meaning we do business online and we and or our maintenance team may not be seen during your stay. We have a good team in place to help your stay be enjoyable please just understand we don’t operate like some of the nudist clubs you may be used to.
Sunset Mountain is a nice quiet place to relax and work on your tan. We have RV sites, tent camping areas and overlanding sites. As lodging options we have a converted bus and shipping container. The campground has a bathroom facility with indoor shower and seasonal outdoor showers. We have a hot tub and propane grill guests can use year round along with hiking trails in the summer and a swimming pool.
Sunset Mountain is near the Elk River in Noel Missouri and close to Northwest Arkansas where there are mountain biking trails, museums and many other activities. Sunset Mountain is listed on the Monarch Butterfly Waystation registry as well.
We are located 1.2 miles away from the Noel city park that has free Elk River access, 4 miles to Mt. Shira free Elk River access near Shady Beach and 5.2 miles to the free Elk River access in Pineville, MO near Shady Beach Pineville.

We are a small hobby farm with a dog, chickens, a small fruit orchard, vineyard, and garden!! On the north end of the property we created a playground with a jungle gym, swings, trampoline, playhouses, outside polyjohn/toilet, and a 16' pool. This property is pet friendly but be warned we do have a large dog (very friendly)! We have power to support smaller 20amp campers with water and a dump station.

We have two private sites, a primitive campsite directly on the Lake of the Ozarks, and a RV spot with full hook-ups (water, 50 amp AC, and sewer). The two sites are separated from each other, but both have access to the lake, including kayaks, a canoe, a paddleboat, excellent fishing, a boat-ramp, floating dock and a one-mile perimeter nature/hiking trail.
*** NOTE *** From January until early May, the lake level is dropped about five (5) feet, so boating and fishing access range from difficult to impossible (though, arrowhead hunting is a fun activity you might enjoy during the low water months!).
Primative Campsite - A private 1.5 acre campsite with a firepit (and plenty of wood to burn in it) and direct access to the Lake of the Ozarks. Amenities and features of the campsite include: a private camp toilet with a door and a concrete pad, picnic table on a gravel pad with an umbrella, a fully equipped cornhole game, fishing pole holders, a garbage can, three (3) level wood tent platforms, and even a big swing set!
RV site - the RV site also has a picnic table with umbrella, a garbage can and a fully equipped cornhole game. Nearby, the RV site also has access to a very nice private pit toilet, a gazebo with lights and an electrical outlet, and a firepit stocked with firewood.

We really enjoyed spending the night here! The hosts were wonderful with excellent communication. They have an indoor bathroom during the day and evening and a porta-potty at night.... I was relieved to find the porta-potty super clean! They also have an outdoor shower. Sunrise was beautiful!!!

It's a cozy little spot in the cove. I liked that we could launch our kayaks right from our campsite. The only drawback I found that I didn't know ahead of time was that the ground was all gravel which was hard on one of our dogs' paws. Next time they will be wearing booties.

We had a great stay at this RV site in the Ozarks! Being right on the water was amazing, with beautiful views and plenty of time to relax by the lake. The pool was great for cooling off, and we really enjoyed the BBQ area for grilling and hanging out. Overall, a fun and relaxing spot—we’d definitely stay here again!

The people are what make this place special! Chris, Deborah, Claire, and Myke were all so nice and helpful… from offering us a different campsite that worked better than the original one I booked, to checking on us, refilling our potable water, helping us find local businesses and attractions, to even changing our flat tire! We are grateful for their hospitality. My daughter and I liked being greeted by the dogs each morning and I interacted with the goats and followed the well marked trail to Columbine Falls (beautiful). I would have liked to have done more hiking, but it was tick season and after we got used to the sound of cicadas at night we slept well. I watched a pretty sunset over the Ozarks on our last night (good memories). The bathroom was very nice, outdoor showers weren’t working 100% but we had brought along our solar bag camping shower, so that wasn’t a big issue. Overall, peaceful place with good vibes. I liked that it was off the beaten path (I got some good pictures on the drive).

Had a great time! I stayed in the cabin, it was small but had everything I needed, with a restroom close by. The farm had lots of things to do, darts, pool, ringtoss, ax throwing just to name a few. It also had a little common area, with electric and different things you could use to cook your food, crock pot, hot plate, waffle iron. It was also close to many things outside of town. You could come and go from your campsite. Teresa was a great host! She gave me her phone number to call or text with questions. He answered them all in a a timely manner. I also ordered some banana blast cookies. They were to die for! I ordered them and they brought them to my campsite a little later still warm from the oven.! I will definitely be going back again soon!
