We have a good team in place to help your stay be enjoyable please just understand we don’t operate like some of the nudist clubs you may be used to. Sunset Mountain is a nice quiet place to relax and work on your tan. We have RV sites, tent camping areas and overlanding sites. As lodging options we have a converted bus and shipping container. The campground has a bathroom facility with indoor shower and seasonal outdoor showers. We have a hot tub and propane grill guests can use year round along with hiking trails in the summer and a swimming pool. Sunset Mountain is near the Elk River in Noel Missouri and close to Northwest Arkansas where there are mountain biking trails, museums and many other activities. Sunset Mountain is listed on the Monarch Butterfly Waystation registry as well. We are located 1.2 miles away from the Noel city park that has free Elk River access, 4 miles to Mt. Shira free Elk River access near Shady Beach and 5.2 miles to the free Elk River access in Pineville, MO near Shady Beach Pineville. 1 night at Explore the Ozarks - Dockley Ranch

I was invited 4 years ago and finally made it. I desperately needed time to myself (alone) to reset and to find peace. Dockley Ranch is a sanctuary, a place to just sit still and feel the natural beauty of this planet. I had everything I could need including coffee. Instructions were clear. I was welcomed by employees who gave a tour of my cabin and explained how every thing worked including a friendly visit from the Alpaca. Recommendation. Bring bug spray for the trail. I brought some amazon boxes to use as a fire starter. Bring flip flops for the shower or to have in hand to enjoy the waterfall. Follow their driving directions and drive slow. Enjoy the views. We spent a weekend here and the facilities were great. Our favorite was the pool/deck and the sauna. The A/C in the container was a nice break from the summer heat.

Four nights here is the perfect amount of time to reset and return to the world. Recommend the route from the East through Alva even if you have to circle around. Double recommend if you have passengers prone to motion sickness. Triple recommend because Alva is cute, and has Melancholy Coffee Roasters.

We visited this glamping property as a group of five families and had an amazing experience. The tents were spacious, well-maintained, and spotless. We loved the overall setup, especially the cozy firepit area and the wide-open space where the kids could run around and play safely. The toilets and showers were exceptionally clean and thoughtfully arranged. The owners were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and communicated everything clearly, making us feel right at home. Every one of us truly enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend this place and would absolutely love to come back. Thank you for a wonderful getaway!

Weekend Trip to Misty Oak Getaways

This is a very lovely upscale cabin. The hosts have thought of supplying every amenity, and designed the exterior and interior with appropriate materials, construction techniques, and beautiful decor and detailing. I was just staying there with my son Michael; but the cabin could easily accommodate 5-6 guests. I really enjoyed staying there, and plan to go back sometime soon.

Weekend Trip to Bull Creek RV Park

We stayed in the modern cabin #1 and had a very pleasant stay. The campground is small and backs up to a creek. You're close to Branson attractions but not in the middle of them like on the strip. I highly recommend you check them out if your headed to the area.

Weekend Trip to Explore the Ozarks - Dockley Ranch

The farm was wonderful. Was visited by goats and an alpaca also several very friendly dogs hung out with me while stargazing. Myke and Claire are wonderful hosts! Very much appreciated the warm cabin this cold December weekend! The hilltop/hammock area has an amazing view of the night sky. So happy to have watched the 2025 Geminids from here and would totally stay out here again.

We loved staying here! Claire and Myke are so nice and their property feels private. The bed was comfy and our space was warm. We loved watching the goats and liked have the dogs near- they are very well-behaved. We’ll be back again soon!
