McGennis Youth Center Campground & Cabins – 167 Acres of Rural Missouri Adventure Experience the beauty of rural Missouri at the Mary A. McGennis Youth Center, a 167-acre outdoor retreat offering camping, cabin rentals, and family-friendly recreation. Whether you're looking for a peaceful weekend getaway, a family camping trip, or a gathering space for a special event, McGennis provides affordable access to nature and outdoor fun. Choose from cozy cabin rentals, tent camping sites, or RV hookups while enjoying wide-open spaces, fishing, hiking, wildlife viewing, and opportunities to relax and reconnect with the outdoors. Guests can enjoy our seasonal swimming lake staffed by certified lifeguards, open Wednesday through Sunday from 1:00 PM–5:00 PM at a $2 admission. Fishing is available at no additional charge with a valid Missouri fishing license. The property also features pavilions available for rent, making it an ideal destination for family reunions, church retreats, birthday celebrations, graduation parties, weddings, and community gatherings. With more than 57 years of service to the region, McGennis Youth Center has welcomed generations of families seeking recreation, connection, and lasting memories.
