Enchanted Ozark Fairytale Camp

12 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents104 acres · AR
Enchanted Ozark Fairytale Camp is far more than your ordinary campground! This 104-acre Ozark Mountain wonderland’s biggest draw would be hard to pin down. We are offering off-the-beaten-path serenity, with huge areas for each rental space, and unmatched hospitality. Sip morning coffee while you lose your cares in the vast mountain views, enjoy the pristine natural beauty that surrounds you in the deer meadow. Hike trails that meander to the seasonal creeks and waterfalls, past ancient walnut and hickory trees, to rest on large rock formations thick with moss, or take the high trails to the top of our bluff where views and natural oddities reward you at every bend, or just lay in the hammocks by the frog pond with a good book. Wildlife abounds on this property, including fox, black bear, deer, chipmunks, groundhogs, bobcat, and tons more. We offer fantastic add-ons like creation stations where tables of art supplies can be laid out for either self-initiated projects or sample projects with instruction by hostess, Mizzy (a working artist with pieces in every continent, save Antarctica). Forage hikes, where you learn about the immense variety of edible plants, guided photo op hikes, cut and make your own walking stick ( and make it your own by wood burning, adding leather and feathers), are just a few of the options we have daily to add to your stay. Close to the Little Buffalo River and the quaint little town of Jasper, where you can shop, eat at the famous Ozark Cafe, or rent a kayak. One-of-a-kind stays include a fully off-grid container tiny house, boondock RV space, super large tent spaces, and coming soon a hippy van sleeper, cordwood log cabin, (we encourage sustainable building questions) we may be farther off the beaten track than those roadside places, but we are so very worth it. Come be Enchanted.

We have 40 acres of woods, waterfalls, hiking, stargazing, bird watching, and sunset watching for the campers who like primitive camping. Enjoy the best of both worlds with a quiet, natural area to camp in, and destinations to see close by. Private area with sun, and plenty of shade. Blackberry's are available to pick in late June or early July. There are three logging trails you can hike just behind the campground. They lead to a creek you can follow for moderate hike. There are cliffs, and plenty of scenery to enjoy. We are a short drive away from Eureka Springs, Turpentine Creek(big cat sanctuary), War Eagle Cavern, and War Eagle Mill. Hobbs State National Park is close by off Scenic Highway 12, with biking, and walking trails galore! We are also close to many of the NW Arkansas mountain biking trails in the area! Access to Beaver Lake is a short drive or a long hike down the scenic rock roads. Due to the remote, and private location, we want to remind anyone consuming alcohol under the age of 21 will not be tolerated. Safety is very important to us. We are looking forward to seeing you. Orphans Island

3 sites · RVs, Tents3 acres · Orphans Island , MO
Float, Fish, Swim or vacation in the Ozarks. We have approximately 3 acers of the 15 we own set aside for camping. Plenty of room for two campsites on cleared, level land adjacent to the James River. Best suited for tent or small campers. We offer firewood, a port a potty, a dumpsite for holding tanks, water from our well to fill your water tank and electricity to charge devices and RV batteries at my barn. Generator rental available on a first reserve, first serve basis. Located about halfway between Springfield, MO. and Branson, MO. Nearby attractions include trout fishing, and a mountain bike park. Please note, This campground is located in a floodplain and weather related cancellations are common. Fish, Fish, Fish. This river is primed for fishing. You will have to bring your own boat, or float as I don't have good river bank fishing access. I added a small floating dock last year to fish or swim off of. There is a state park boat ramp a short distance away. The steps in the photos are plenty sturdy to tie boats to overnight. This river is fishable with flat bottom jet drive boats most of the spring and early summer and floatable year round. You can float to your campsite and relax instead of waiting in line at the boat ramp. Also we are located about 13 miles from Crane Creek, A blue ribbon trout park. You can camp here and fish there.

Camping in Table Rock State Park MO guide

Overview

About

While Branson is mostly known for its eclectic mix of theme parks, live music and comedy shows, and family attractions, visitors are often surprised by the natural beauty of the Ozarks Mountains surrounding this kitschy city. Table Rock State Park is a prime spot to take in the scenery while enjoying outdoor recreation. The 45,000-acre lake serves as the park’s focal point, with a bevy of activities on, in, and around it. Fishing, boating, swimming, hiking, and mountain biking opportunities abound. This park is a popular basecamp for exploring all that Branson offers.

Notable Camping Spots

  • Best for non-frequent campers: Table Rock Campground 2 has two platform tent sites, with four-season canvas tents, and a well-appointed glamping yurt.
  • Best for camping with friends and family: Table Rock Campground 2 has family sites, with two campsites and a shared yard and amenities.
  • Best for staying cool in the shade: Table Rock Campground 1 has more shade trees.

Tips for snagging a campsite

  1. This is a popular park, so advanced reservations are usually necessary. Holidays and summer weekends fill up.
  2. The park has basic, electric only, and water/sewer/electric sites, with some offering 50-amp hookups.
  3. Reservations open 12 months in advance.
  4. Weekend reservations require a two-night stay (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday).
  5. The campgrounds are open year round, with reservations available March 1 through November 30.
  6. Showers and water are available March 1 through November 30. During the off season, the showerhouse in Campground 1 is open.

When to go

Summer is peak season at this busy park, with tons of tourists flocking to the Branson area and hitting the waters of Table Rock Lake. The weather may be hot and humid, but the cool lake waters provide relief. The shoulder seasons of spring and fall are generally pleasant, though the waters may be cool. Fall is especially scenic, as the lake activity quiets down and the surrounding hills explode in color. Through the winter, many Branson attractions continue to stay open, some with holiday themes. Be prepared for freezing temps and precip if camping or traveling.

Know before you go

  • The onsite marina offers many amenities, including boat, waverunner, and paddleboard rentals, plus an onsite cafe with dockside dining and carryout. Paved boat ramps are available.
  • The boathouse store sells snacks, sportswear, and watersport equipment.
  • A scheduled catamaran cruise sets sail from the marina daily when in season.
  • A variety of trails are available for hiking and biking. For a big adventure, hit the White Valley Trail System. For an easy stroll, head to the Table Rock Lakeshore Trail.
  • Though there is no designated swim beach, the lake shore provides access points for swimming and fishing.
