Welcome to our Award Winning campsite, Sky Valley Acres, just 20 minutes from Oklahoma State University This is where history meets the horizon! Come join us out in our little slice of country paradise, 30 acres of natural prairie and woodlands nestled on the highest peak in the county overlooking the historic Twin Mounds Valley. Not too far from home, but just far enough to feel like an adventure, we are conveniently located 20 minutes outside the quaint college town of Stillwater, Oklahoma. Our sites offer both large open areas for vehicles and activities paired with private wooded forest for tents and seclusion. Individual sites are many acres apart designed in such a way that every experience is peaceful and private. We offer maintained camping sites which are easily accessible that come with amenities, in addition to our alternative primitive camping experience for the pros further in the Backwoods. What ever your needs or preference we have a spot for you! We have easy access to two main highways with the nearest Walmart 10 minutes away, not to mention great cell phone coverage for all the main providers at most locations on the property.
A little bit about how we started. Like most of us, we were in desperate need of a place to get away from the bustle and grind of daily life, to slow down, decompress, and destress. This land the universe had waiting for us, gave us just that! It changed our lives and now we are excited to open up this sanctuary to others who share our passion for the great outdoors! Interestingly, each year we find out more about our home, from its Native American prehistory, to its 19th century Civil War conflict, and most recently, a lost article published in the 1940s in the local Oklahoman gazette that enticingly gossips about long lost Buried Treasure!

Take a look at our website to see photos of the property, hadleylake.com will take you there. We offer catch and release fishing in the pond along with walking trails marked by the mowed pathways. Use the outdoor faucets on the house for water. The fire pit surrounded by rocks is located near the picnic benches under the trees by the pond next to the log cabin house.
RV Spots have 110, 30amp, 50amp hookups along with water, sewer, and wifi. Trash is the dumpster at the driveway entrance.
Dry/tent spots are at least 20’ wide by 40’ deep and can be used for campers or tent camping. These are located on the grassy areas. There are NO hookups for dry/tent dispersed sites.
We now have a wash house! It is located immediately when entering the part to the right of the entrance driveway. There is a shower, sink and toilet in the bathroom and a coin-op clothes washer and dryer. Cost is $2 in quarters per load.

Pitch a tent in the lovely Pottawatomie County in Oklahoma. We have created a wonderful site in the middle of the forest for you! Lovely oak trees as far as the eye can see, barred owls, deer, hundreds of species of birds. Feel free to explore in designated areas (ask me about other areas outside your campsite), feel nature's rejuvenating energy and be in our sacred space. The site is walk in only, about 100 yards, so bring your wheel barrow or cart, although the property is 15 acres in its entirety, the campsite is on about a quarter acre with one large central site and a few alcove sites. We do have neighbors up the hill, but there is NO Visual of these houses. Sometimes neighborhood kids ride their 4 wheelers down our road and use our cul-de-sac to turn around, and you might occasionally hear them, but you can't see them and they can't see you, but most of the time it's very quiet.

What a great spot! Mary is the most accommodating, caring, and kind host you could ask for! You cannot skip the apple pie and breakfast biscuits! The campsite is easy to find and we'll labeled, beautiful setting at night with all the lights making it feel very enchanting. The cottages are set up well and cozy giving privacy if you choose to rent them. It is located on the road so traffic can be heard but it was not overwhelming or disturbing to us. Mary also has wonderful recommendations for local joints and is a great contact in the are! We will definitely be back when we are in the area! 10/10

Wonderful stay! We were greeted by 3 very happy Great Pyrenees dogs and their 2 adorable puppies. The campsite was adorable. We were in our campervan and the space worked great for us. We were able to park under a shade tree. It had an adorable old alpaca trailer they had turned into a portable bathroom. It had a spool and 2 smaller spools to use as a table and chairs, a fir pit with a couple benches to sit around it, and a hammock which were all adorable touches. We had a great time watching the alpacas (and petting the friendly ones) and hanging out with the adorable dogs and puppies! Thanks for the great stay!

The property itself is sooo cute! Each tiny home has a very unique look and feel to them. The grounds are also very cute. You can tell Mary loves hosting people and she put a lot of work into her farm.

She was by far the sweetest woman I have ever encountered. Met me out front, gave me a complete tour of the property, gave me a gift bag upon arrival with treats for not only me, but also my puppy. She also brought me coffee and a sweet treat every morning. She was attentive in a way I have never experienced. An amazing lady!!
I would definitely come here again if I was ever in the area!

We were passing through & found this gem to spend the night. Quiet, peaceful, & spacious. The spot included electric & water hook ups, shaded area with picnic table, and gravel spot to park the camper. The lot is surrounded by trees & is accessible by a paved road right off the highway.
Across the street is a beautiful wedding venue, it was empty during our stay. We had no cars pass by, it was very quiet and felt private. We did see a velvet ant while walking through the field, I recommend familiarizing yourself with local wildlife & educating your kids on safety.

Courtney communicated the directions to her property very accurately. She even stopped by after work to introduce herself. She's a very sweet person. We had our RV all set up enjoying the peace and quiet for the evening when the moon started coming up over the trees. It was so beautiful to watch it in the country with zero light pollution.

What an incredible first Hipcamp experience! I was lucky enough to be my host’s very first guest, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome.
She greeted me with a homemade spice cake when I arrived, sent me off the next morning with fresh homemade biscuits and her delicious homemade apricot jam, and even put together a thoughtful little gift bag with snacks for the road. Those personal touches made me feel less like I was renting a campsite and more like I was being welcomed into someone’s home.
The campsite itself was peaceful, quiet, and exactly what I needed after several days of hiking and exploring that ended with a long car ride. As a solo female traveler, I felt comfortable and well cared for throughout my stay.
Mary has such a generous heart and a genuine gift for hospitality. I sincerely hope this is the first of many, many guests for her because she deserves every booking she gets. If you’re looking for a place that feels welcoming, relaxing, and filled with kindness, I can’t recommend this Hipcamp enough.
