Welcome to Sky Valley Acres, where history meets the horizon. Come join us out in our little slice of country paradise, 30 acres of natural prairie and woodlands nestled on the highest peak in the county overlooking the historic Twin Mounds Valley. Not too far from home, but just far enough to feel like an adventure, we are conveniently located 20 minutes outside the quaint college town of Stillwater, Oklahoma. Our sites offer both large open areas for vehicles and activities paired with private wooded forest for tents and seclusion. Individual sites are many acres apart designed in such a way that every experience is peaceful and private. We offer maintained camping sites which are easily accessible that come with amenities, in addition to our alternative primitive camping experience for the pros further in the Backwoods. We have easy access to two main highways with the nearest Walmart 10 minutes away, not to mention great cell phone coverage for all the main providers at most locations on the property.
A little bit about how we started. Like most of us, we were in desperate need of a place to get away from the bustle and grind of daily life, to slow down, decompress, and destress. This land the universe had waiting for us, gave us just that! It changed our lives and now we are excited to open up this sanctuary to others who share our passion for the great outdoors! Interestingly, each year we find out more about our home, from its Native American prehistory, to its 19th century Civil War conflict, and most recently, a lost article published in the 1940s in the local Oklahoman gazette that enticingly gossips about long lost Buried Treasure!

Rocky Ridge Resort has full hook up RV sites, primitive camping, 3 fully furnished cabins, 1 fully furnished Camper, laundry facility, ice machine, game and book center. About halfway through, you'll encounter our pond. More fishing is located just minutes away. Also nearby is a shooting range, Wildlife Management Areas, and more! We are about an hour south of Tulsa and just minutes from Okmulgee, Henryetta, Okemah and Beggs.

This has to be the best place to camp in Oklahoma. Longhorns roaming around, getting to tour with Casey (grandson) and the host, Glenda, was awesome. Such a great family and time on this property. I was there 6 nights, 4 at a camp where I truck camped, 2 at the tiny home. The tiny home was perfect when it got really cold and was able to have a good comfortable shelter. The campsite was great and remote but still able to have the longhorns roaming nearby. I would 100% recommend to anyone in this area and plan to stay next time I’m over that way.

It is a small campground but every site is full hook up & it had everything we needed, Including picnic table and fire pit . They want you to use firewood from their land , a nice plus not having to buy bundles like at other campgrounds . We would definitely stay here again if traveling nearby

Creek side cabin was perfect for us! Wonderful community, secluded cabin, and friendly people and animals. Hailey was kind enough to spend the morning with us and share some amazing cacao while we meditated. Highly recommend!

We were unable to camp there due to storms so we ended up in a hotel. Glenda invited us out over to Ranch over The Weekend so we could spend some time with her on the ranch. We did go to the ranch and spent about 4 hours. We met her Longhorns, fed them and got to spend some time in the garden. Glenda is a fabulous hostess. We had a great time! She also gave us places we should visit. I’m definitely going back in the Spring!

We stayed at the honeysuckle site and it was perfect! The site was about 75 feet from the parking area and they also have carts that you can borrow to get all your stuff to the site. The trails were perfect for my 4 year old and he made friends with Spooky, the resident dog! We followed Spooky as he excitedly showed us around all the parts of the trail. The campsite was very quiet and we couldn't hear or see any other campers around us. We will definitely be back and we'll bring friends! My son won't stop talking about how much he misses Spooky!

If you’re looking for a low-key beach getaway, head to Keystone Lake! Just 15 miles from downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma, the park is known for its beautiful blue-green lake waters and landscape of rolling hills, grasslands, and high bluffs. Stop along the highway on your drive in for awesome lake views! Take one of the short hiking trails that run alongside the lakeshore and keep your eyes open for unique rock formations, birds, and beavers! Bring your boat, as you’ll have access to 11 boat ramps and three marinas on the lake. Cast a line for striped bass, white bass, black bass, crappie, and catfish. Wildlife biologists believe there are 40-pounders in there somewhere! There are nine developed swimming beaches, and campers can choose from primitive to full hookup campsites. What’s not to love?

I have camped here, we reserved campsite no. 36 pretty late and it was one of the last available sites. The site is right off the water which is great for sunrise views. The site was mostly really fine gravel which is hard to keep from being tracked into everything. There was also pretty much no shade at this site. From about site no. 35 going north the shore is all very large rocks so getting down to the water is not really possible w/o a walk. Unlike much of this lake the shore is not at all sandy in this area until you get South of the boat ramp area. There were also other campers that noticed a considerable amount of water snakes over night in the shallow water. Yay!
