This 55 acre park is home of a large sandstone that contains 8 markings believed to have been made by Vikings many years ago. The park features a seasonal waterfall, covered picnic areas, playground, amphitheater with seating, community building, scenic views, gift shop and approximately 2 miles of nature trails. Be advised that most tent sites have a tent pad but a few are primitive mountain terrain (rocky). The one RV site is for 16 ft. or less vehicles and smaller teardrop trailers with limited hook-up and no dump station. Restroom and shower facilities are located within the park. Individual campsites DO NOT have onsite toilets. Forest setting while still close to stores in case of forgotten items. Variety of small wildlife in the area. The cabin is equipped with a mini fridge/freezer, a Keurig coffee maker, and a microwave) inverter. In the bathroom we have a metal wrapped 22" deep soaking tub equipped with a rainfall shower head to wash the stress away. No glamping cabin would be complete without a wave activated hand dryer a 43" Wi-Fi connected smart TV and the latest plug ins with USB ports included so you can forget that charging box at home. Coffee, bedding, towels, bar soap, provided. So what are you waiting for? It's time to camp!

The cabin is equipped with a mini fridge/freezer, a Keurig coffee maker, and a microwave) inverter. In the bathroom we have a metal wrapped 22" deep soaking tub equipped with a rainfall shower head to wash the stress away. No glamping cabin would be complete without a wave activated hand dryer a 43" Wi-Fi connected smart TV and the latest plug ins with USB ports included so you can forget that charging box at home. Coffee, bedding, towels, bar soap, provided. So what are you waiting for? It's time to camp!

Another great stay at Barker Gap. Can’t recommend this spot enough. Brian and his wife run a cozy, clean and peaceful place to nestle our little camper in the woods and just relax. We’ll definitely be back… and again… and again.

Such a beautiful spot camping spot only thing was the power to hookup my van did not work neither did the water mell other then that had an amazing time. Went in march and had the whole campsite to myself which was a huge plus!

We loved staying here, our 2nd time to visit. The campground is well maintained and is peaceful. I love that it’s a smaller campground and other campers were all respectful. This is our new favorite place.

Great place for being surrounded by nature and wildlife. Beautiful views and great camping areas. Nice spring fed water/swimming holes. 4x4 definitely recommend to get around property. Come with all supplies before getting to property as there is not anything close besides a gas station. Be prepared with firearm for protection as there is bear, wild boar etc. Great communication, directions and marking points of interest from the host Pail!

We loved this campground. Liked how quiet and small it was. The spots were very well maintained and level. Lots of room for camper and sxs. WiFi actually worked. Picnic table would be the only thing that would be great to have. Owners even reminded us about the temperatures dropping below freezing, so we would not forget about our water hose.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Past reviews are correct about having a 4WD vehicle to get to the site. The waterfront was great with a beautiful sunset and sunrise.

This is a great spot. The sound of the river lapping was incredible. We will stay again.
Be aware that Google Maps will direct you to the neighboring driveway at the end of the road. Back up to the previous driveway and you will be good to go.

Everyone is friendly, there's a cute little gift shop with a lot of necessities. The campground and facilities are very clean and well maintained. The sunset was stunning! There are several neat trails for hiking. The area is very wooded, and we were able to hang up hammocks to relax in. Our only problem was our tent didn't fit on the pad, but that's because the tent is enormous (18 ft bell tent), but we made it work. We would definitely come again.

The land and river was beautiful. If you are car camping, make sure you have a 4x4 vehicle, otherwise you will need to carry your gear a decent distance to the campsite. If you had backpacking gear, I think you would be fine.
