Imagine the gentle rush of water over smooth stones, the scent of pine needles drifting through the air, and the warm glow of a campfire under a blanket of stars. Whether you’re here to swim, paddle, fish, hike, or simply relax in a hammock with a good book, this is your chance to reconnect with nature — and each other.
While we are confidant you will enjoy your time on the Cadron and its sunlit bluffs, crystal-clear streams and nature's marvelous works and wonders please understand you'll be camping at the edge of a wilderness and we have day jobs. In other words, you are pretty well on your own upon arrival. Think DIY!
You have many camping options:
1) Streamside Camping: Secluded tent sites with easy access to Cadron creek – many with picnic tables, fire pits, grills, and lamp posts
2) RV Camping: Limited sites, pull-through, up to 30 feet, level, hard gravel base, with basic hookups (electricity, no full sewer)
3) Dispersed Camping: Outside of the campground there are nearly 100 acres available for camping. If you are up to roughing it a bit we'll point you in the right direction.
3) Cabins and Glamping: For those that like to settle right in we have rustic cabins and campers with modern comforts (some include AC, heating, and kitchenettes)
Activities and amenities include swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, a 6-acre foraging field and 9-hole Frisbee golf course, bouldering, zen/meditation deck, climbing, psicobloc and more outdoor pursuits than one has time to pursue. Children can enjoy the Ninja rope course with zipline, slackline, and rope swing and petting Biscuit and Buttercup – our favored Kunekune forest pigs. And, Woolly Hollow State Park, Cove Creek Natural Heritage Area, Persimmon Ridge Resort and Greer's Ferry Lake are a short drive away.
We invite you to our little piece of paradise on the Cadron. Bathe in a forest of tall standing pines and oak trees. Sit on the bank of a cascading stream. Embrace nature. We lie at the edge of civilization but we have good cell phone service and water hydrants and electrical outlets for recharging phones. And from March through November hot water showers are freely available.
Our place is a bit rough, rugged and unruly yet we call it home -- a place where everyone regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, political views, religion, or culture is welcomed to come enjoy nature's marvelous works and wonders. We love everyone!! So we invite you to come down to the Cadron and stay a spell. Unwind. And enjoy!

Batesville Mountain Campground is about "getting away from it all" with nary another soul in sight. If you have qualms about being alone in the woods -- this is NOT the place!!
There are only four campsites on the entire property so you are always out of sight and hearing of any -- you can even upgrade for $10/night and have the entire property all to yourself! It is that special!! And absolutely jaw-dropping beautiful! Sparky, the stone mason who quarried, cut and stacked every rock on every trail within the campground, has created a wondrous place to come camp and explore. We are also now restoring Sparky's original homestead -- the one room Green Cabin is soon to be our new "romantic retreat" with outdoor kitchen and shower, chicken house, and two-hole traditional Swedish "utedass"–or privy. As to where to sleep ... well you may lay your head anywhere -- under the stars, atop a pinnacle, out in a field or sheltered in the woods by the river.
BUT this is "DIY" camping -- as we have day jobs we are unable to cater to your every whim and you will have to be able to "depend on yourself" to negotiate the campground, set up your campsite and secure needed resources. Thus if there is any concern or question you really should stay at one of our other properties either Camp Toasty or Pinnacle Springs Recreational Camp. PLEASE -- we don't want to be bothered with phone calls and text messages -- not here anyway.
Trails from Sparky's Cabin lead in all directions offer access to hiking, swimming, fishing and paddling. You'll find no better place to "forest bathe".

Secluded natural decks speckled throughout the forest that boasts sweeping views of the Ozark Mountains exist in Dreamland 1440. The Campground Area begins at the front of the property where you enter through the gated area of 1440 Dreamland. If you are booking the Williams Rock Area, your entrance is off of Hwy 330. There are several locations around Williams Rock to camp, open cave areas, with a 5 acre lake to tool around on if you have brought a kayak or small boat. The gates will be open to Williams Rock Area by noon of your arrival. It's primitive camping, so find your own "spot" on the property, respect the privacy of others at their "spots". First come first serve on each spot. The camp spots are not graveled, leveled, etc.. just the bare earth. The majority of this property is the woods, open fields, rough terrain, etc. So you will experience all Nature has to offer. Things like poison ivy, seed ticks, chiggers, ants, spiders, snakes, wildlife...Always check with the host on the app before arrival. Arriving when it gets dark will mean you will be setting up in the dark unless you have brought lanterns. If you've booked a site, the gate will be open for you, but you will be on your own. The camp host from April 27 - July 1st is on call for guests needs, but is not on site. Checkout time is by Noon. Check in is at 2:00 pm. If you'd like to stay another night, you must reserve another night online.

I moved here in 2016 from Atlanta, Georgia. I actually lived in an RV in a beautiful park for several years there. And, loved it! I thought I was going to do that here, but changed my mind when I found this sweet little house on a couple of acres. Deer visit us, and bunnies make their homes here. I have cats and dogs of my own.

Turn from Hwy. 56 can be tricky for big rigs because of a ditch at Jones Street. Left hand turn is easier than right hand turn.
You can use the parking lot across the street to help you back your rig into the campsite. We have permission from the owner to do that.
There is room for your boat, too. Pets are welcome. Close to grocery, bank, gas.
The White River is famous for its trout fishing. Deer hunting in the area, too. (Not on this property.)
The hookups are on the left side (right side if you back in). You may need extensions for your power and sewer. I have them available, if you don’t have your own.

The other 7 acres hosts 2 cabins and a game room that hipcampers can use. Also has a wedding venue on the bluffs of the beautiful White River.

Two Roots Ridge is a small developing mother-daughter homestead located on a quiet ridge ln Hardy, Arkansas near Cherokee Village and the Spring River, in the beautiful Ozark Mountains (Ozark Plateaus)
Our property offers simple, camping for travelers looking to slow down, enjoy nature, and experience a rural setting.
Guests may stay in RV, van, or tent sites tucked into our wooded ridge property. The land is still a work in progress as we continue building and improving the homestead, so visitors should expect a rustic, honest setup rather than a fully developed campground.
We do offer electric and water hookups, along with a shower tent (solar water bag and shower tent) and porta-potty facilities for guest use.
The property is surrounded by woods, wildlife, and the natural sounds of the Ozarks. Evenings bring starry skies, country nights, and the peaceful rhythm of rural life.
We also operate a small cottage bakery on the property called Two Roots Rising, and we try to keep our farm stand filled with fresh baked goods! Our chickens also keep us stocked with farm fresh eggs, which are sometimes available from our small homestead stand when the girls are laying well.
Two Roots Ridge is conveniently located near several Ozark favorites:
• Spring River (10–15 minutes) – floating, kayaking, fishing, and swimming
• Historic Hardy (about 12 minutes) – antique shops, cafés, and art galleries
• Mammoth Spring State Park (20 minutes) – one of the largest natural springs in the U.S.
• Lake Sherwood & Lake Navajo (15–20 minutes) – quiet kayaking and fishing spots
• Scenic Ozark backroads and trails ideal for hiking, photography, and relaxed drives
We currently host a small number of RV and van campers, with additional tent and glamping sites which will be improved upon as time allows.
Guests seeking a humble place to park, rest, and enjoy the Ozarks will feel right at home at Two Roots Ridge.
We do have several friendly dogs on property - some ours and some visitors. They may occasionally bark.

This site is an absolute delight. The foggy morning sites, the space, the VIEW, the amenities, the home-roasted coffee, the owner. It was just a fantastic time. So peaceful, lovely, and easy. A great vacation spot for anyone looking for an outdoor getaway with unbeatable views, hot water, electric, and an owner who is just fantastic to work with and talk to. We had an wonderful time talking to him, and they made us muffins to pair with a coffee that they roast themselves. I literally can't recommend this space more!! You won't be disappointed.

Had yet another fantastic weekend up on the bluff. The hosts are lovely, and welcoming, and helpful. Robert came with a jump pack, when I discovered my car battery was dead (I think someone left a dome light on), and I was able to go to Shirley for some necessaries. The accomodations are fantastic, and the view cannot be beat! Best. Hipcamp, I've. Ever. Been to. It's by far my favorite place to camp. I foresee many trips back.

Staying at Patricia's camp was great! Our travel trailer fit and was perfect for our interim living while we moved and found a new home in the area. Patricia was always so helpful and kind!! We would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area!

We stayed at the Creekside spot and it was so beautiful!! The creek is lovely, the spot is large, private, and easy to find a perfect spot for a tent. We went with our two small toddlers and it went perfectly. The kids loved looking at all the fish. The rocks are slick but you just need to find the gravel when you swim. Walter is friendly and available to help if you need anything.

We absolutely loved this place! It’s quiet and so quaint! Even has a small camp store. Just wish we’d have been here when it was a bit cooler so we could have enjoyed a fire and hung out at the pavilion.
Misty is kind and communicative and made our stay fantastic. Definitely planning to be back!

We loved our time in the glamping tent at Valley of Peace! The campground and the creek are beautiful and we loved exploring the area. Even though the water was low at the time we were there, there was still enough to swim in the swimming hole and cool off. It was so nice having AC in the tent and we were very comfortable the whole time. Walter was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed and everything was very well maintained. We can’t wait to go back!

The clear creek running through the property is what motivated us to book a site at Wilson’s. We were not disappointed! Despite the very hot temperatures the creek remained cool and refreshing. The camp sites are situated on such a neat piece of property. Lots of trees, bluffs, large boulders and the flowing creek was a plus for us. The owners are kind and considerate and were very quick to respond if we had questions. Overall it was a great stay at Wilson’s Clear Creek Camp!

My husband and I were making our way from Houston, Tx to St. Louis, MO. We spent 7 days in our 43ft Mesa Ridge Camper at Misty Mornings. Gorgeous area! The camp ground is not on the river but it has river access less than 1/5 mile. The river access is just below the confluence of the Norfork and White river. It is a moderate shallow, crystal clear, cold river. Children definitely need life jackets. Beautiful sand bar and pebble river bed. Kathy and Jeff are very attentive hosts. However, they value privacy so they are not intrusive. They have an absolutely beautiful, well maintained, clean, kid and pet friendly property. There is a small camp store where they have bait/tackle, ice, bath products, sunscreen, etc. Kathy is an artist and her beautiful artwork is displayed for purchase. Jeff is a fishing guide. He took us out and taught us how to fish the river and where to go so that we can fish on our own. We had a blast! We caught our limit and, what counts the most, a lot of laughs. While my husband worked during the day I was able to venture in to town to run errands. Mountain home is 15 minutes away, beautiful drive either of the 3 routes. The State park and lake is 10 minutes away. The location is perfect because you are secluded in a quite and peaceful park but close to recreation and supplies. My 2 favorite things were: the mist at daylight over the river and watching it move while drinking my coffee and playing and fishing every evening in the river. Thank you❣️
