Two Roots Ridge is a small developing mother-daughter homestead located on a quiet ridge ln Hardy, Arkansas near Cherokee Village and the Spring River, in the beautiful Ozark Mountains (Ozark Plateaus).
Our property offers simple, camping for travelers looking to slow down, enjoy nature, and experience a rural setting.
Guests may stay in RV, van, or tent sites tucked into our wooded ridge property. The land is still a work in progress as we continue building and improving the homestead, so visitors should expect a rustic, honest setup rather than a fully developed campground.
We do offer electric and water hookups, along with a shower tent (solar water bag and shower tent) and porta-potty facilities for guest use.
The property is surrounded by woods, wildlife, and the natural sounds of the Ozarks. Evenings bring starry skies, country nights, and the peaceful rhythm of rural life.
We also operate a small cottage bakery on the property called Two Roots Rising, and we try to keep our farm stand filled with fresh baked goods! Our chickens also keep us stocked with farm fresh eggs, which are sometimes available from our small homestead stand when the girls are laying well.
Two Roots Ridge is conveniently located near several Ozark favorites:
• Spring River (10–15 minutes) – floating, kayaking, fishing, and swimming
• Historic Hardy (about 12 minutes) – antique shops, cafés, and art galleries
• Mammoth Spring State Park (20 minutes) – one of the largest natural springs in the U.S.
• Lake Sherwood & Lake Navajo (15–20 minutes) – quiet kayaking and fishing spots
• Scenic Ozark backroads and trails ideal for hiking, photography, and relaxed drives
We currently host a small number of RV and van campers, with additional tent and glamping sites which will be improved upon as time allows.

I moved here in 2016 from Atlanta, Georgia. I actually lived in an RV in a beautiful park for several years there. And, loved it! I thought I was going to do that here, but changed my mind when I found this sweet little house on a couple of acres. Deer visit us, and bunnies make their homes here. I have cats and dogs of my own.

Nice, private, shady. Easy to get to from Hwy. 56. About 2 miles from the White River and Main Street Calico Rock.
Turn from Hwy. 56 can be tricky for big rigs because of a ditch at Jones Street. Left hand turn is easier than right hand turn.
You can use the parking lot across the street to help you back your rig into the campsite. We have permission from the owner to do that.
There is room for your boat, too. Pets are welcome. Close to grocery, bank, gas.
The White River is famous for its trout fishing. Deer hunting in the area, too. (Not on this property.)
The hookups are on the left side (right side if you back in). You may need extensions for your power and sewer. I have them available, if you don’t have your own.

Hiking is available at Gilbert and Tyler Bend with access to Buffalo National River trail systems, including river corridors, bluff trails, swim holes, gravel bars, and scenic pull-offs. Nearby Red Bluff Overlook and Sand Hole access are reached via county roads that follow and run parallel to the Buffalo River corridor.
4WD/AWD recommended for river roads. Nearby supplies in Saint Joe include Grice’s gas/diesel, food, pizza, ice, and Dollar General for groceries and supplies. Nearby towns also offer additional dining options and seasonal entertainment, including a drive-in theater in Marshall.
Site accommodates car camping, van camping, tent camping, equine campers, and horse trailers. Rubber livestock water troughs available on request for equine use. Registered and properly equipped side-by-sides are allowed on county roads where permitted; river road legality is still being confirmed, and guests must follow posted signage and current regulations. Batesville Mountain Campground is about "getting away from it all" with nary another soul in sight. If you have qualms about being alone in the woods -- this is NOT the place!!
There are only four campsites on the entire property so you are always out of sight and hearing of any -- you can even upgrade for $10/night and have the entire property all to yourself! It is that special!! And absolutely jaw-dropping beautiful! Sparky, the stone mason who quarried, cut and stacked every rock on every trail within the campground, has created a wondrous place to come camp and explore. We are also now restoring Sparky's original homestead -- the one room Green Cabin is soon to be our new "romantic retreat" with outdoor kitchen and shower, chicken house, and two-hole traditional Swedish "utedass"–or privy. As to where to sleep ... well you may lay your head anywhere -- under the stars, atop a pinnacle, out in a field or sheltered in the woods by the river.
BUT this is "DIY" camping -- as we have day jobs we are unable to cater to your every whim and you will have to be able to "depend on yourself" to negotiate the campground, set up your campsite and secure needed resources. Thus if there is any concern or question you really should stay at one of our other properties either Camp Toasty or Pinnacle Springs Recreational Camp. PLEASE -- we don't want to be bothered with phone calls and text messages -- not here anyway.
Trails from Sparky's Cabin lead in all directions offer access to hiking, swimming, fishing and paddling. You'll find no better place to "forest bathe".

Please join us at our beautiful farm located on the lower Spring River just outside Hardy, AR. We have a 3+ acre river lot for dry camping or boondocking. We also have 20+ acres of adjoining land with beautiful river views. Come fish or float the beautiful Spring River with take-out or put-in from our property. Fish for small mouth bass from the banks of our property. If you don't have your own boat, kayak, or canoe there are outfitters in our area who will be happy to assist. Hunters will also love staying at our property as we neighbor the wildlife management area and many other local hunting spots. We are located close to the mouth of the Spring River at Mammoth Spring State Park. Use us a base camp to explore the Ozark National Forest, Lake Norfork, Blanchard Springs Caverns, the Mark Twain National Forest, and many other lakes, rivers, and streams. Arcane Acres is in the beginning stages of becoming a permaculture campground. Various berry bushes, fruit trees, and other plants have been planted throughout the 5-acre property.
While we're still far from having mature plants and realizing our grand vision of a food forest, it's already a beautiful place for RVers to escape, relax, and watch that vision slowly come to life.
Relax and unwind beneath the tall loblolly pine trees while enjoying the birds and local wildlife. We offer two neighboring RV sites with 50/30/20-amp electric service, water, and septic hookups.
Book both sites if you'd like the entire 5-acre property to yourselves, along with extra parking for vehicles and boats. Or book with friends for the ultimate camping trip.
The property is less than a 10-minute drive from multiple boat launches on the White River, including Norfork, and only 15 minutes from Mountain Home. Enjoy the peaceful feel of the countryside while staying close to everything you love about the Ozarks.
Go trout fishing on the White River or spend the afternoon on one of the area's lakes. The property is also less than 10 miles from the motocross track in Old Joe.

Loved this site! The sound of water on the rocks, the clear cool water, the green trees, and the rock wall across the water. We enjoyed sitting by the water and tubing down the small river. We needed some peace and rest and this was it. This is going on our short list to someday visit again.

First, the drive in was scenically gorgeous, and fnding the campsite was astoundingly easy, even being off main roads, everything was clearly labeled. Pulling into the campsite, you definitely feel a sense of peace and privacy. We were in a tent and there was a perfect spot to tuck under some trees for daytime shade. It was such a luxury to have access to electricity and running water, not to mention wifi access for a late night movie was a definite bonus. We were 100 yards from a spring-fed creek, which was crystal clear, with plenty of shallow wading spots and other places were deep enough to swim. We took our river float on the creek and gently floated along until we came to the edge of the property and then did it all over again. This is the most relaxed I have been in years, and my friend and I felt so lucky that we found that paradise last minute. We stayed five days, four nights and had the most blissful time. 10/10 would definitely recommend, and I think my bestie and I found a place we'll want to return again and again. The hosts came by to greet us and were sure to give us a great map of the property they own so that we could explore all there was to see. They were even kind enough to leave some tubes for swimming. I enjoyed meeting them both, and although they're new to hip camp, their hospitality was top notch, with considerations for every kind of camper.

Mulberry Hill glamping tent was incredible! Wonderful view of the creek from the camp site, and easily accessible down to the creek bank. We got to see river otters and squirrels both mornings we were there. The air mattress in the tent is comfortable, and the tent provides a ton of space. The A/C unit works exceptionally well, and, to our surprise, there was even a small coffee machine. The campsite is equipped with an outhouse, but we were also able to schedule shower times up at the local small church house. Great for couples and families alike! 10/10!

What an amazing place and stay! I almost don’t want to say too much so I can keep this little gem to myself, however Walter was so amazing that I can’t be that way! There really isn’t a bad site! Like at all. Each one has its on special feature whether it’s rapids, big rocks, deep swimming holes, etc… there also seemed to be a shady spot at each site so even if your tent isn’t in one- your chairs can be to relax. Plenty of places to get along the creek and still be spread out and/or isolated if you want. Walter and his precious family love this gem and it shows! Very well kept and clean. I loved being able to purchase firewood, ice and eggs right on property! Having potable water was also great! Those things save trips to town if you don’t want to leave- which we didn’t a few times. They are working on a new gift shop that will also have camping essentials in the event you forgot something. Love that!
Don’t hesitate to book. It is one of the most scenic creeks I have ever camped on!

This place is absolutely beautiful. The campsites are right along Clear Creek. The water is crystal clear and had deep spots to swim in and shallow areas to splash in. We had plans for stuff to do nearby but none of my kids wanted to leave the campsite. Our 4 kids are 8-17 and they all had a blast playing in the creek. Super private. We were the only campers while there so it was perfect. We will definitely be coming back.

We arrived to the area at night, but that was no problem. Directions were very accurate and the campsite was easy to get to and pinpoint among the other sites. The land is absolutely beautiful and right next to a wide, cold, and clear stream - the sound of which will put you right to sleep and is the perfect sound to wake up to in the morning.
We booked last minute and despite that Walter had delivered firewood to the site before we arrived. If it wasn’t for the plans we had, we could have happily spent the day relaxing by and soaking in the stream.
If we ever return to Arkansas, the Valley of Peace will be on the itinerary.

Calico Rocks was centrally located so we could enjoy City Rock Bluffs, Blanchard Caverns, Bull Shoals Lake and the town of Montain Home.
Patricia was a kind and interesting host, and very helpful in helping us order an electric extension for hook up. (The camp spot is farther away than most!) A very quiet and peaceful Hipcamp! We’d love to come back!
