Peaceful site hidden off some back roads. Easy to get to with the signs guiding you along. Getting to wake up on the creek was a wonderful experience. Host was friendly.

A Hidden Gem

We loved staying at Valley of Peace! After a long paddle on the Buffalo, we found ourselves in a bind and searching for a campsite last minute. So thankful we stumbled upon Valley of Peace and were able to book. Valley of Peace lived up to its name — it is beautiful and genuinely peaceful. Our campsite was spacious and quiet with a great fire ring. The creek is pristine and cold, perfect for a swim when it’s warm. You are surrounded by nature. To top it off, Walter was an excellent host! You can tell he truly cares about providing a great experience. He checked in to make sure we had what we needed and we also enjoyed talking with him about the area. Overall, an excellent experience! We’re already trying to plan our next trip back.

Site 2 - Valley of Peace Campground

Perfect spot right next to the water and a “restroom”. Very clean space set up with a table and fire pit. Not any great space to turn around if you have any type of trailer. The host was amazing and checked on us several times. I’m already making g plans to go back

We stayed at site 2 and it was absolutely perfect! Loved the sound of the water and the moon brightness bouncing off the creek. Peaceful night and a wonderful host. Definitely plan to stay here again soon. 💕

Awesome camping experience

We had an amazing stay at Valley of Peace. Sites are all beautiful and Cave Creek is clear and very welcoming. There are several places to cool off along as fishing and just relax listening to all sounds of nature. Walter is wonderful can bring you firewood and fresh country eggs, explains the camp and the surrounding area. Seeing his cows, calves, and beautiful horses is perfect touch to a fantastic camping experience. We will definitely be returning frequently. Highly recommend.

The land is beautiful! Our daughter especially loved all the farm animals and wildlife. Plenty of space to have privacy, every site has river access. Will absolutely becoming back

Beautiful place. Mr. Walter was a great host. We were able to get firewood and eggs from him for a great price. My only regret was not being able to stay longer. Will definitely be back.

Such a great place to camp at and so much to enjoy! The creek is absolutely beautiful and the land really is peaceful, especially because we were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves! Walter is a great host! He is very accommodating, kind, and has only three very reasonable rules! We enjoyed our time there so much and can’t wait to go back! If I had to say something where there is room for improvement, it would be the outhouse situation, but we were in it for the primitive camping experience and already knew what we were in for, so no disappointment there, just room for improvement. Thank you Walter for welcoming us onto your lovely land and taking care of us with fantastic firewood! We will be back soon!

Staying creekside was an amazing experience! Each site has a firepit and the host brought us a table with an umbrella! We were able to bring our dog with us and he especially enjoyed being at this campground. Will definitely be back!

Awesome place for a quiet camp. Got some swimming in at the creek and had some good eggs from Walter. It makes a good basecamp for the buffalo. We will definitely be back again.

The site was wonderful next to the river and with water flowing it helped us catch some zzz’s at night. Directions were great, and the host provided us some more wood and fresh eggs which were delicious for breakfast.

This was our first hip camp experience and it was fantastic! We stayed at camp 6 and loved it. The stream being so close you can hear it all night which made for great sleep. We enjoyed our campsite and loved watching the cows graze. Absolutely beautiful area and the host even brought us down an umbrella for our table.

Site 2 - Valley of Peace Campground

Our annual trip to the Valley of Peace is in the books and it delivered as always. As expected, it's still a valley and it's still peaceful, the eggs are still farm fresh and the babbling of the creek still rocks you to sleep at night. Already counting the days before our next visit. Thanks, Walter!

This is one of the most magical places I have ever stayed. I was there in my camper for a week, with my two dogs. So quiet and peaceful, lots to explore and the spring fed creek was perfect for cold plunges. Walter was very helpful and easy to get ahold of. I can’t recommend Valley of Peace enough.

Site 6 was a great piece of property and right next to the running creek made for some great sleep. Stars were unreal when we woke up in the middle of the night. Walter was very quick to respond and bring us extra firewood the first night when we ran out of our own. Would definitely come back in the warmer months for a float trip!

A beautiful place to get away to. The owner, Walter, is a true local born and raised in the area. The sites are spaced apart nicely and right on a beautiful creek. If you want clear water, clear skies, and peace and quiet, you won’t be disappointed.
