One of Arkansas' greatest treasures. Less than a minute from the Kings River Falls Trail-head, and nestled alongside the headwaters of the Kings River in Venus Arkansas. This is a remote and rugged campground with caves, bluffs, swimming holes and river a plenty. This campground has a grand exhibition of the same sandstone formation that is responsible for the Whitaker Point (Hawksbill Crag) formation.  Clovis like points have been found here, and so one might assume the bluffs and crags here have been inhabited for millennia.  This 7 acre property is completely surrounded by Arkansas Natural Heritage-Natural Area. There are miles of trails and cooling waters at every turn.   If you like Kings River Falls, get ready to fall in love with this Red Fern Campground.   Lose yourself in a fairy-tale land. With endless places to explore and amazing natural features at every turn this experience will not disappoint.  Most of our campsites are just yards away from a public swimming area, which is shared between our property and the Arkansas Natural Area. You should expect local traffic at the main swimming area during your stay.  We have a private swimming area on our property which is just a short hike from the developed campsites (Please ask the camphost for directions).

Kings River Falls Glamping B
Great site and location
Campground is in the perfect spot if you’re someone who loves to just get out and explore. Trail nearby, dozens of possible swimming holes, large rock formations, etc. Sites are private enough with decent space and woods between each. I chose a glamping site to avoid having to buy some new gear. Was perfect.

Site 4 - Kings River Falls Camping
Great site in a remote spot. Only note - we came over Labor Day and swimming hole wasn’t very full and we were bummed to not be able to swim in it. Just a seasonal consideration!

Site 5 - Kings River Falls Camping
This place is awesome! So much to explore! Sam and Michelle texted us directions and we found it pretty easily. Unfortunately we got a flat just as we were turning in at the school house. The terrain was a little rougher than we expected it to be on the ol’ pathfinder. We’ll definitely be more prepared next time. Also it’s at least a good 45 minutes to a gas station so make sure you’re prepared! Great trip! We’ll definitely be back!

Site 4 - Kings River Falls Camping
Great spot! In the middle of nowhere with no service- it’s fantastic :) Super shaded and two swimming holes that are walkable. Waterfall nearby as well.

Site 1 - Kings River Falls Camping
Magical Springs
We camped in #1 and it was great. There are numerous springs/swimming holes around the site and they’re all great for swimming/soaking. Note to future campers - the area is covered in poison Ivy, so be aware when hiking. Also - there are a lot of water snakes but they are not poisonous. They will swim away from you if disturbed BUT if you’re at all afraid of snakes, this spot may not be a good fit. BUT if magical healing cold spring swimming holes are your jam, this place is perfect.
