This site is an absolute delight. The foggy morning sites, the space, the VIEW, the amenities, the home-roasted coffee, the owner. It was just a fantastic time. So peaceful, lovely, and easy. A great vacation spot for anyone looking for an outdoor getaway with unbeatable views, hot water, electric, and an owner who is just fantastic to work with and talk to. We had an wonderful time talking to him, and they made us muffins to pair with a coffee that they roast themselves. I literally can't recommend this space more!! You won't be disappointed.

Repeat visitor!

Had yet another fantastic weekend up on the bluff. The hosts are lovely, and welcoming, and helpful. Robert came with a jump pack, when I discovered my car battery was dead (I think someone left a dome light on), and I was able to go to Shirley for some necessaries. The accomodations are fantastic, and the view cannot be beat! Best. Hipcamp, I've. Ever. Been to. It's by far my favorite place to camp. I foresee many trips back. Book it!

Me and my sister booked 2 nights SUPER last minute and had an AMAZING time. The view from the bluff is stunning, and the campground is tidy and clean. The common area is super cool and clean as well. I have a mid size suv, so had no problem with the road, but I would not recommend if you drive a sedan (or if it rains haha). The property is located conveniently 45 minutes from Mountain View and also Blanchard caverns. Robert and his wife were incredible hosts (even made us blueberry muffins)! Would definitely recommend!

Perfect Getaway Spot

The area was absolutely stunning. The views are breathtaking. Everything is so nice and clean and the hosts are very welcoming. We celebrated our 30th anniversary here. Robert and his wife had muffins and cookies waiting on us. The air stream is a wonderful addition. We made morning coffee and watched the sun come up. I highly recommend for a great weekend getaway.

Camping with views!

Robert's lands was excellent for tent camping over the weekend. The views from the hill top are breathtaking and it's also great for stargazing with minimal artificial light. I wasn't expecting the trailer with a kitchenette, bathroom and wifi, great amenities that surely lots of people appreciate. I'll definitely be returning!

We had an amazing night camping! Was very easy to find with their directions and we were greeted and escorted to our campsite. Most amazing views and sunset! We purchased firewood at booking and it was ready for us when we arrived. They have great amenities. Even a homemade blueberry muffin for breakfast! We are already talking about our next trip back!

This might be the perfect hipcamp. All the accomodations and amenities (hot shower, flush toilet) fresh coffee, welcoming and friendly host, endless firewood, stellar stargazing, short drive to the river to cool off and the most beautiful overlook.

Our experience at this beautiful campground was a delight. The view was stunning, the amenities were incredible, and the hosts were so kind. This spot is unparalleled! We enjoyed taking in the sunset, then stars, and then morning fog. We are so grateful we got to spend time here and for the hospitality we were shown.

Incredible place to stay

We only got to stay one night here but enjoyed every second. The land was pristine. The view from the bluff was breath taking. The host was beyond accommodating and very sweet. The directions to the property were detailed and lead us there no problem. It was very peaceful at night and the stars were gorgeous even on a full moon night. We loved the place and would definitely return in the future.

Amazing Camp, Amazing Views!

This was such an awesome camping experience! The campsite and amenities are top notch. The view of the bluff was so epic. There was the coolest restored stainless steel mobile home that served as the bathhouse, shared kitchen, and hangout spot with a great deck. Robert the host was very nice and met us upon arrival and led us back to the camp. I look forward to going back. It was a great time.

Robert and his wife Susan were wonderful hosts! Me and my lady had a great time. The outlook is jaw-dropping gorgeous and the stars were great, little to no light pollution this far out. We were also pleasantly surprised with the amount of amenities we were provided! The coffee was great! We also would like to mention the common era is awesome, with a full ceramic toilet, hot water, and working sink. 10/10!

Camping Done Right

This was truly the best camping place we’ve ever been to. The views were absolutely stunning, and the campsite itself was perfect for our tent. Robert and Susan went above and beyond to make the experience special. We even got a fun and super interesting coffee lesson (featuring some of the best coffee we’ve ever had), followed by a fresh latte handcrafted by Susan, which was absolutely delicious. Robert even sent my husband back with some of his coffee to share with the guys at the fire station, which meant so much to us. And if that wasn’t enough, they also dropped off homemade sourdough monkey bread, which was nothing short of phenomenal. Robert and Susan are honestly some of the kindest and most thoughtful people we’ve ever met. On top of the amazing views from the campsite, the common area was perfect—especially on the rainy day we had. We were able to relax on the couch with our dogs, stay dry, and still enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. We absolutely loved our time here and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

To start, the view is absolutely AMAZING. The accommodations were some of the best & most clean I’ve seen. The hosts were so sweet, kind and welcoming. From homemade blueberry muffins to welcoming us into their coffee roastery. We will be coming back again. Our stay could not have been better!

Amazing stay!

This was one of my favorite campsites of all time! The view from the bluff just a short walk down the hill is amazing! Great for viewing stars at night, too! It’s also nice to have a good shower and toilet available! The campground was full, but there are not many sites, so being able to use the shower/bathroom wasn’t a huge conflict. Robert was an extra kind host, and he brought freshly roasted (and brewed) coffee every morning to the common area! When we requested firewood through the Hip Camp app, he had it for us at our site very quickly. We were really tired and my husband was kind of feeling sick during our stay, so we did not hike on the trail down into the valley. But, we plan to camp here again and hike the trail! We have a pretty large tent (6 person tent) and we were able to fit it on the camp pad! The fire pit and picnic table were also nice additions to our camp life. We also hung up our hammocks over by the bluff and it was an amazing reading spot with a view! We loved everything! This is a great place to get away from the noise and busyness of modern life, but it still has amazing amenities like coffee, a bathroom, AND WiFi. 😄

We absolutely loved camping at Harper’s Bluff. Not only was the view honestly breathtaking, the hosts are honestly the very best. They were super welcoming, beyond thoughtful, and work hard to provide a great experience for their guests. All of the amenities they have set up for guests make for the most convenient, relaxing camp experience. One of the best’s campsites I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at. We will be back soon!

Father and daughter weekend camping

Loved it there. It was a last minute booking for me, because my other plan didn't work out. But I am so glad I booked this. Best HipCamp I've visited so far. The view was amazing, the coffee was fantastic, the shower was hot, and the flushing toilet was more than appreciated. Robert and Susan were wonderful hosts. They greeted us at arrival, and made us immediately feel welcomed. They guided us right to our spot, and even got us situated with firewood. My daughter and I absolutely loved our weekend together, and did not want to leave. Coming back to the city stinks. I could have just lived right there on that bluff.

We loved celebrating our anniversary in this beautiful place. At all times we felt very safe, the communication was on point, the hosts were incredibly warm, attentive and very kind to us, even the other people camping at the same time were wonderful. Waking up and seeing a gorgeous sunrise in the middle of these beautiful mountains was a dream. So many comfortable things provided, warm shower, very clean spaces, delicious coffee and you can add in the payment needed stuff for camping in case you’re not prepared like us hehe. We came all the way from Houston and would come again :) Thank you guys for a wonderful anniversary memory!

The Hill Top campsite was great! The site was close to the scenic bluff overlook and we got to watch the sun set. It wasn’t too far from the other camp sites but it still felt private because it had some trees that separated the sites. Robert and Susan were WONDERFUL hosts. They gave clear directions and greeted us with such hospitality when we arrived (and when we departed). It was nice having the shower and toilet in the community area. They also provided fresh-roasted Numu coffee in the Spartan community camper and it was fabulous! And they were so sweet to bring us muffins in the morning. We will definitely be going back and we highly recommend!
